      @@terenarosa4790 I’m new to this walk but being surrendered as a woman has meant embodying “turn the other cheek”, even though I have every right/reason to pop off, because the price has been paid. Because the battle isn’t mine. Because we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers and rulers of the darkness of this world, and fighting means praying, it means having faith, it means cooperation and collaboration to solve problems, dying to myself daily and with it my desire to be correct, in control, and the victor.

    I would LOVE more content distinguishing between mature and immature feminine. I struggle with exactly what you're describing as immature, and while I'm working on that, I often can't tell if my response to a particular situation is me being surrendered or immature. I would say this is an example of "toxic femininity" -- a sinful distortion of my natural instinct to nurture and submit, much in the same way that men being violent or needlessly aggressive is a sinful distortion of their instinct to protect and lead.

    You are hitting on something extremely important and not talked about enough. Women are controlled by their fears. We fear opening up, as we really should. Because you shouldn't be open to everyone who's not worthy. We fear being alone, but also fear relationships. We don't want to be hurt but also don't want to be alone. But if you find a descent man, taking that leap of faith brings a lot of peace. That's where I'm at. My husband is a good man, a good husband, and a good father. Young women just have to find the right person.

    • @mirelasemanjaku
      @mirelasemanjaku Год назад +2

      You are soo right! I too have been (and still) am so much controlled by fear. But let us also point out that most of it is inducted by our environment. My parents (and society) would say to me constantly that I should not even think of not marrying! That being alone is the end of the world! But also not having a boyfriend or mingling with boys because having a relationship was a shame. it was like right after the last day of school, I miraculously found a husband and immediately get married! So This trapped me into not taking any sort of action and stopping myself from having any normal experience..which lead to 34 lonely years with the fear of ending up alone growing day by day. And at the same time, fear of settling with just anyone just so that I am not unmarried creeping in even more..

    • @joanna400
      @joanna400 Год назад +1

      @@mirelasemanjaku I know it's been a couple weeks, so forgive me for a late reply, but I've been thinking about it and just wanted to add if someone waits for the perfect person, it's not going to happen because no person is perfect. I've been married since 2002, and I couldn't say he's perfect the way God is perfect. He's just a good and decent man. We all have shortcomings and no one is perfect. He's just perfect for me. I trust him, he's a good provider and protector.... He's a good father and husband... But no one is perfect. It's a blessing to join with each other to guide each other in the right way. There was a time I was drinking too much, and my husband had to set me straight without abuse or intimidation. He simply said he didn't like what I was doing and I cut back. That's how it is supposed to work. I was in the wrong. Listen to your partners because they are guiding you to heaven.

    The section about femininity not being weak is 💯 It is *so* much easier to respond to hatred with hatred, to hold grudges against people, and to harden yourself than it is to surrender your pride, remain kind towards those who are unkind to you, and genuinely wish well unto those who wish evil on you. The former legitimately feels good and cathartic in the short term but ultimately only brings more destruction. The latter takes work and might even bring pain in the short term but ultimately benefits everyone.

    this was so on time for me. When you started to discuss the beauty of surrenderance and the beauty of the responsibility for it, intentionality, that has really made an impact on me personally. being "independent" doesn't seem to leave room for beauty because that would mean taking the time to cultivate, nurture, listen, learn, breathe and repeat to descend and transform- the art of surrenderance like you said its this beautiful and strong process...I feel sometimes out of place in world that is not slowing down at all...good news...I have cultivated my self-care and carved out beauty in my "me" time routines all while working and taking of my family and I learned to choose my battles on the job..femininity is not for everyone however I continue to manage...thats why we need it so we won't go crazy in a world trying to redefine men and women..God is ultimately in control anyway...and this subject I believe is where God is leading me next to cultivate surrenderance, and go within for more femininity

    A round of applause please. This is so precious! I´ve had a lot of conflict since last year and I always get one word out of it. "Submit and let go". God told me to stop hurrying but it´s so hard, when I´m used to run at the bus, to be on time at the second meeting of the day. I have to stop. God told me last year, when I asked him what should I do this year, he said "Just be. Let me mold you into the woman you should be" . Haven´t figured out what "being" means. I mean, I have goals, I want money to submit peacefully... may God help the women of this generation, amen.

    About not wanting children I think it's deeper than that. I actually grew up having to care for myself and my father, who was almost unable to take care of himself and the house (due to dr*g use). Later in my teenage years I had to take care of my new born sister. I was either living to serve others or being blamed for being selfish for not doing what my parents actually had to do. Now my sister is eleven and her behaviour is horrible, I definitely would hate my life if I had such a child. Not mentionning how expensive it was to take care of her as a baby, the countless nights the whole family was not able to sleep because she was crying...etc All of this complitely took away my desire to have children. I know I can't do it, I don't have the patience, and would not accept if my child doesn't turn the way I want. I am not going to be a good mother, not because others told me so, but because I know my limits. I just want to travel a bit, learn crafts from othe cultures and later, find a little house in the deep coutryside, away from people, to finally have a simple and quiet life.
    Having children is not easy at all, and I have seen way more people who should NOT be parents having kids than the opposit. Countless parents messing up their child from a very young age, making them weak, breaking them with a lot of bullshlt...etc

    • @emmagrace6396
      @emmagrace6396 Год назад +17

      I get it, I mean if I had that experience I probably wouldn't want children either. You were forced to take a huge amount of responsibility at a young age, when you should have been the child being parented, not the one doing the parenting. Not only did you have this experience of parenting too early, but you also had no support, were criticized for your parenting, and had little control of the environment you and your sister grew up in.
      But, I will say this...there were a lot of aspects in that experience that aren't normal to parenting. I've enjoyed having friends with young children because it shows me a realistic depiction of parenting. Yes, the responsibility is a lot, but if you chose the right man, you have someone to support you. My friends have a good community that supports them and their children. I and others in our church go babysit for free when they need a break, or go help for a couple of hours while the dad is away at work. And they've raised kids that can accept being told no and are very well behaved, even being under 4. Because when you are mature and you have support, you know you have control of the way you raise your kids. Not everything will be in your control, but some things always are. Plus, getting to walk with your kids that you gave birth to and see them grow and change and love you and to love them is a unique experience.
      All that to say, I would probably feel similar if I went through what you did, and if it's better for you to not parent, then great! But I just wanted to say that because sometimes our negative experiences can give us false impressions of the way life can be, which is often more beautiful than we think.

    • @PhoebeK
      @PhoebeK Год назад +2

      I hear your struggle, I may not have walked the same path but too came to the same conclusion that it was not for me to have children. In your journing, you may find it helpful to visit women's monasteries as these can be places of healing for women who have suffered. You may even find a home in a monastic community with sisters who you struggle alongside and a spiritual mother (and spiritual father) who both cares and can help you become who you were created to be.

      @christinapfeifer4218 Год назад +3

      I first want to say as a mother of 4, I am sincerely sorry that your parents failed you. Reading what you went through broke my heart. As a mother I offer you a mother’s apology and I am truly sorry for what you had to endure when you couldn’t because you were young, needed guidance and love specifically from your mother.
      Having children is a beautiful thing. If you came to that conclusion as your life’s calling, that should be respected by society. Being a parent is a calling not all are called to.
      If you decided this because of fear that you don’t have what it takes, I encourage you to lean on Jesus and ask Him to show you what your life path is, it may still be Him saying no children but rather a service life to Him.
      We have Too many woman choosing to be childless because they don’t want to put in the work they know it takes because they want to self serve instead . ( Not saying this is you, I think you raised a child when you were one yourself a child and that trauma carries some serious scars and it should not have happened)
      May the Lord or God bless you and keep you

    10:40 I agree here especially. This can do must do approach is not a feminine approach to learning femininity and makes the journey EXHAUSTING and so stressful.
    I can finally put in words why most advice from men on how to be feminine is frustrating. They're not calling us incompetent but feminity has more elements of unlearning than learning sometimes.
    It's about not doing too much or getting caught up with what needs to be done.
    It really is a man's world so most ways are taught from a man's perspective to lead, to go and to find which hurts our femininity as the search for it becomes a battle for power and control.

    Hi Jasmine, thank you for these videos, they've been such a blessing to me as a young adult lady learning to embrace her femininity. Please can you do a video on vulnerability?
    Many of us women struggle to be vulnerable and find out that it can be an issue in our relationships with men.
    I'd really appreciate this, thank you❤️.

    Thank You Jasmyne, for doing what you do to have women everywhere become very feminine and stay very feminine, emotionally, mentally, etc.
    I do highly appreciate the physical femininity as well, but the emotionally, mentally, etc. femininity still matters more.

    hello jasmine, I really love your videos. My name is Sonya, I am 20 years old and I dream of finally becoming vulnerable and feminine, because this is what I feel the need to become all my life. but the situation doesn't give me that. my boyfriend simply does not know how to work or save ( we have debts to pay, but he can't work on a schedule, just there is not enough concentration and willpower, That's why I can't count on him and I'm taking extra shifts.) , he has frequent outbursts of anger and shutdowns, he considers any of my requests as whims and I do almost everything: household chores, work, choosing where to take a walk and what to eat, searching for rented housing, making money plans. he constantly asks me for advice instead of making decisions on his own. I tried to delegate at least part of the work to him, but this will only cause him to burn out (the last time he did not work for 4 months because of that) I have no one else to rely on, my mother has her own life and a lot of debts, and my father left us when I was a little girl. I love my boyfriend and I don't want to leave him, but I'm so tired and I don't know what to do at all, don't want to be in the position of a victim, I'm trying to do everything I can.

      My love, you are with a little boy (inside) not a man. And I know you think mothering him is helping him, but it’s actually making him weaker and resent you. And it’s not your job to be his mother. You deserve an equal partner. There is a book called “Boundaries” written by Townsend & Cloud (two Christian psychologists). That may help. I went through this and the only thing that helped was me developing more self-respect and love. I had to let go of “fixing” my partner and fix my own unhealthy codependency instead. Ultimately me stepping back allowed my partner to step up. But like a child he threw angry tantrums when “mommy” stopped caring for him in the same way, and I had to maturely, gently ignore his outbursts and attempts to blame or fight with me. I had to let go of the need to control and accept that if I got healthy then he would either leave or get healthy too. Or I would get healthy enough to know I needed to leave. In my case, he chose to work on himself and match my effort. But I had to get to where I was 100% okay with the relationship ending. I had to surrender to a loving God (not to a petulant man-child). Codependency is not real love-it is fear, trauma-based attachment, and emotional dependence masquerading as love. Wishing you success in your journey to knowing your worth.

    The Mature vs Immature Feminine segment-- it feels like there's a bell curve between the passive, immature/wounded feminine woman vs the aggressive "boss babe" vs the mature feminine woman. On both ends, there is surrenderance, but one half is out of passivity and lack of discernment whereas past the bell curve on the latter half, the surrenderance is not passive and is, in fact, a conscious decision. In the middle is lack of surrenderance altogether, it's the defiance that is so readily encouraged and therefore cultivated so often in modern western women, that we are all taught which is why the majority of women fall under that part of the curve.

    I like that you highlighted the importance of living a surrendered life when you have Jesus as your protector, it is not easy for a woman especially single woman to open themselves to be vulnerable when they don’t feel like they are safe or have some sort of protection to fall under, this video is actually teaching me to be closer to God if I want to be open and vulnerable and be feminine.
    thank you keep sharing and growing!!!
