Dash Cam: Suspect Arrested Barefoot After PIT Maneuver in Downtown Milwaukee

- A man from Milwaukee was arrested after a high-speed pursuit ended with a PIT maneuver in Downtown Milwaukee on June 21, 2022. Greenfield Police initiated the pursuit near South 43rd Street and Forest Home Avenue around 2:30 AM. During the pursuit, the suspect crashed into a wall in the Kilbourn Tunnel, which is located under the Milwaukee County Courthouse. The suspect fled on foot the vehicle after a PIT maneuver near Vel R Phillips Avenue and Kilbourn Avenue. The suspect was found barefoot and hiding where he was arrested. No one was injured. Imagine my surprise...
Pretty intense chase, that cop is driving that cruiser right to the limit, you can hear his tires squealing and the engine racing.
Think he actually has a bad tire or needs balancing. Can hear the bump during the entire video.
Cops a good driver, knows his racing lines and made a couple of straight lines to do his hard braking in which takes an experienced and confident skillset to setup at speed.

Jogging barefoot is very healthy.
All that extra weight the cops have to carry when on foot chase. Radios, rigs, vests, weapons etc. Just like me after 21 years in the military, their knees and backs will be blown out after a relatively short career.

Thank God it was a Greenfield Policeman that did a great PIT maneuver. Milwaukee see how it's done, the PIT works and it stops a fleeing vehicle instead of just following, hoping they run out of gas or crash like your police department does.
Im guessing they dont allow PIT maneuver for milw co or Mpd because streets being busy 90% of chases or if they cant afford to fix every squad that would get damaged from doing PIT. But yes, Greenfield is bad a$$ for chases-they do not give up

I’m reading a lot of comments about the officers breathing and running. People don’t understand you can train a whole lot running with all the gear on still sucks especially when you’re running at you’re full speed the whole time. It does make you tired.

The way the cop took that corner was a thing of beauty it allowed him to catch up. If he was in an explorer or charger he’d have been able to pit him faster. He’s in a slow Tahoe. My buddy is a sheriff’s deputy he says he hates his Tahoe.
I think it was Greenfield that lead the chase. I think they have number of calls. Greenfield can and will do a PIT maneuver. Im not sure if Milw county deputies are allowed to do PIT maneuvers?!? I always wondered how dif forces liked the variety of cars to use. Id personally LOVE a tahoe but I cant see that keeping up certain speeds
@@jenniferpritzlaff9656, the chevy Tahoes really suck on the low end in the city they're really slow with stop-and-go stuff. That's where explorer and chargers shine on their stop-and-go speeds.

Because cars are called "the Coffin" because you are stuck in one place and can't avoid fire, you can't shoot back, you can't quickly chase a suspect who dodges down a narrow place where a car can't go, and you can't tackle the perp and arrest him, you also can't hit him unless he is threatening your life. And mostly because when they get out and run it is because they see a place where the car can't go and they think they have a better chance on foot. pretty rare for them to foot bail and run right down the street. When they do because the car is disabled the officers often do stay in the car. It is dangerous either way.
@@oldguy3378 no places just let you run suspects over. The exception is if the officer fears imminent danger, then he is justified in using his car like any other deadly weapon. Hitting a suspect with your car is basically the same as shooting them, legally. You can't shoot someone just for running.

Well you are welcome not to watch it. You can go and get your own dash cam videos instead of waiting for everyone else to upload it for you then complaining about how they uploaded it. Or just go choose the other channels who do it the way you like. That is why we have choice. If you don't like the content go find someone you do like. Personally I like to know what is happening, it isn't always obvious in the video and I don't want to waste time on ones where they just give up and go let the guy get away.

I was about to congratulate them on finally taking public safety seriously... then I realized the pursuit started in Greenfield and the dashcam we see is from a Greenfield PD officer. Greenfield PD is one of the few agencies featured on this channel that does pit. At 8:37, the POV officer says "I've got MPD with me" and at 10:00, the Milwuakee officer says "I've got Greenfield with me."
