It was very fortunate that the driver didn't injure anyone else during the incident, only himself!
He died by his own hand, and in doing so he has made the community safer because he's no longer a danger to other road users or pedestrians.
He left a debris field like that of Titanic, and he clearly lost control at a very high speed.
Compared to whatever the legal consequences of his driving that night were, they were definitely less severe than the outcome he encountered...
He had it coming and got what he deserved. Nothing of value besides a car was lost here. These cops are awesome for even bothering with his corpse and putting out the fire. I would have let the car burn with the corpse in it.
@@rstidman Seeing him incapacitated and trapped inside the wreckage of his burning vehicle, I would have tried to extract him from danger, even though I'm not a police officer.

That's good that no innocent motorists were hurt or killed. That's my only issue with police pursuits. When it comes to public safety, the ends do not justify the means. So many people don't even care that innocent people are killed as long as the bad guy is caught. Yeah, screw the bad guy, but I'd rather let him go than see a family suffer needlessly. He'll be caught up with another day if the police do their jobs well enough.
The person was already speeding before the officer clocked him. The person was still speeding after the officer stopped the pursuit.

No. Not day after day. You watch too much TV.
@TurdFurgeson571 Are you implying they don't witness stuff like this everyday? If that's the case, then I think you've been watching too much tv!
@@nolanbrown6894 You probably think war is just bullets flying constantly too hey? You know, like they show on TV. You think firefighting is a constant blaze for the entire shift? No. These jobs are not like that. It's mostly boring, mundane shit. Day after day. Not the exciting shit which is what you see on TV or in videos like this. There are not dead bodies constantly. There are not bullets flying every which way. There are not people lurking around every dark corner waiting you kill you.
In fact, that's so true that it creates problems for people who do these jobs. It quickly breeds complacency, which can get you killed should the shit ever actually hit the fan.
@@TurdFurgeson571 I will agree that maybe they don't see a dead body, for example, everyday, but that doesn't mean they aren't affected by what they see everyday. Can I ask if you have had experience in these fields? I don't mean that as an insult, but if you have then I don't want to say that you're wrong even though I disagree.
@@nolanbrown6894 I have first-hand experience in some of these fields and similar high-stress situations. Yes. There is the potential for things to go south fast at any time, sure. But it usually doesn't. Most cops will go their entire career without pulling a trigger outside of training. The same goes for military guys, even guys in the infantry. War is mostly boredom. Again, while not having one's life in danger is generally considered to be a good thing, this boredom easily breeds complacency.

It sucks to say “play stupid games, you win stupid prices”. But, that’s exactly what happened here.. That driver ! He’s never driving off again.
Engine block was gone. Rewatch the police cruiser's approach, there were skid marks that suggest the driver first braked before (possibly) hitting the right hand side of the bridge, then the black car definitely struck the center concrete column, you can see the debris from the underside of the car. At that speed, that collision with the column was unsurvivable.
There’s a video out from the restaurant that had a camera and recorded the crash!
Seems to me concrete columns do a far better job at stopping criminals than many judges/justice departments - we should employ more.....maybe give them more support? (more rebar is cheaper than court costs)

Not really sure the "police pursuit" caused the "fatality." Dude was already driving like a maniac before police attempted to safely stop the vehicle by activating their emergency lights and siren to signal him to stop so they could make sure someone else wouldn't be a victim of his reckless driving. The crash was bound to happen either way.
Yeah and the police called off the chase before the suspect crashed. Good ending here.

This is constructive criticism. There is a reason most titles are placed at lower third on the screen. Having "Incident Response Exclusive" smack across the middle of the screen for the entire duration of the video is really disturbing and greatly impedes the ability of the viewer to see what is happening. I spent 40 years of my life in the film and TV business, so this really is meant in the best possible spirit.
It's so sad for all involved over something so senseless, at least this time an innocent person didn't get hurt or killed because of someone else's bad choices.
Nothing sad about a p.o.s. eating it against something immovable.
It’s sad when a life is lost but until people need to own up to their actions
I think this suspect owned up to his actions. Bought and paid for.
Not really. It's sad when one of these democrats kills innocent people, but not themselves.
He was nominated for a Darwin Award for this self-made wreck.
Nominated and won first place...
I knew what was going to happen, but I felt so bad when the cop put his gun away. He didn't need it. He said, "One occupant".
Great effort officers. That’s a tough job to go from chasing a possibly dangerous person to trying save their lives. Nothing you could do for him.
"Possibly" dangerous?
The video showed true professionalism on the part of the officers.
I like how they hurried up to put the car out just in case there's a chance that it can be buffed out.
I really hate seeing anyone die, I really do but it seems like some people are just destined to make bad decision after bad decision. I think we all know/knew people like that at some point.
The impact was so aggressive that the engine fell out 😯 never seen that before...
In only a little under a year as a volunteer firefighter I've seen a vehicle with the engine completely shoved into the passenger compartment, and another one where it was ripped in half on impact with a tree at high speed and only in somewhat one piece due to the exhaust pipes
@@Right-Is-Right I have yet to see either of those depart from the vehicle entirely but my 4th ever call with my department was a fatal head-on impact with a tree that caused the vehicle to roll multiple times after glancing off the tree from the head on hit. I work near by and that crash scene was still closed off well after I got off work at 7AM. The engine was ejected from the vehicle as well.
No one has ever died from speeding. It's the suddenly becoming stationary part that gets ya.
It's rather difficult to experience that kind of impact at 20mph.
Looks like he braked, the car pulled to the right, so I imagine he let off the brakes and tried to correct it but at that speed over corrected and hit the bridge on the left. This is what happen when people drive much much faster then they can handle.
There's a surveillance video of the crash with audio, he did indeed brake before hitting the bridge.
The way that door just was torn in half by the cops tells you why the car just about disintegrated.
They don't make an like they use to.
Because it’s safer .. a solid car means the person absorbs the energy !
He wanted to play, "Dude, where's your engine" and guess what? He won!!
This is what happens when you think you can drive and you don’t know your limits. He did this to himself. Running is just not worth it. Never has been. This fool paid the ultimate price.
The deceased died doing what he loved.
unless you're driving a race car with a special built cage and all the safety equipment...you're typically not surviving a crash hitting something at 100+mph. cars aren't tested/designed for that.
