- Greenfield Police responded to a retail theft in progress at a Walgreens store on January 8, 2023 when officers discovered a red pick-up truck was waiting on his friend in the store to leave with the merchandise. The driver in the truck decided he didn't want to stick around and led officers on a pursuit until he had a change of mind. At one point, a weapon was thrown out of the window during the pursuit. He didn't really. He carefully played it so he could pretend he didn't see them or he thought that they were just trying to get past him. Notice how he puts his blinker on, etc. Then he pulled over quickly enough I think they would have trouble sticking him with evading. He just has to play stupid and they can't prove that he knew they were there and wanted him to pull over.

It shows what cops have to go thru day after day and while balancing on the head of a pin, because of the scrutiny and second-guessing they must endure from politicians and civilians who don't have their back!

Can you imagine stopping in order to set up an ambush, and then the entire department shows up. I would be way more worried if it were easy, and I think the first guy had that thought as well.

Geez, they attempt a felony stop and start okay but then one guy takes the sus back behind others and solo tries to cuff him while standing. Should always prone the guy out on the ground and face away, or at least on his knees with his ankles crossed, and have a cover officer.

@@jenh7004 I saw that yes but his attention is more focused and vision divided by any remaining occupants of the vehicle. He should of retreated back with the officer and been a bit behind him to cover the car while also covering the suspect. That suspects hands are free (the officer holding them together that’s meaningless) and he’s still standing with that long gun in very close proximity. He should of been proned out. That was a scary one. Thankfully the sus didnt have any bad ideas to try something.

It’s hard to understand why, when the suspect stops his car, pulls out his hands and the police wait? Wait what, while it is easy to get him out of his vehicle, and why to put in joux of their weapons, these suspects even when they are on the ground, and moreover, to see to advance well grouped, almost all tntnant behind a colleague himself to protect behind a shield antiBullets, isn’t that a little too much technically??? Do police cars gas up every time they are 1/4 tank low?
Out department policy was fuel up at the end of every shift unless on overtime, and report that to the oncoming shift commander that it wasn’t filled.

@@Wow-2375 in our case we had our own county fuel depot, but sometimes the pump would stop working for whatever reason. It’s just preparedness mostly. Our prisoner vans had 35 gallon tanks but we’d often get sent to a far away place in the state right from the beginning of the shift so you want to be able to go asap. The patrol cars it’s just a matter of if there’s a big emergency, you don’t want to be caught with a low tank if at all possible.
