Wow SO many opportunities for a PIT maneuver ESPECIALLY when in the Angels Stadium Parking lot and at the UTURN. The SUV was right on the truck and could have easily PIT'd him then.

if you want to spare some time : almost nothing happens... at 28:00, the guy puts his lights on at 34:50, the car makes some sparkling lights because of its speed at 55:30, not clear, but the car seems to hurt the side wall and a tire becomes flat at 56:00, the guy stops by himself and surrenders with his passenger, without resisting or any other violence. all of that for 59:19 minutes.

well armchair politician, how are you going to stop someone going at 100 mph without risking their life, your life, the lives of people around - "we got your car back, and it only needs a paint job $5k" or "only five pedestrians got run over, that's better than ten" or "only half a dozen other cars got totalled" i watch too and ask "why aren't they doing something right now, cos the streets are empty" but you try organising cops to be in the right place, at the right time with the right kit. as long as there's no imminent danger these people can be picked up at home tomorrow without anyone being hurt and it costing YOU less. half the time these chases are pointless, just follow in the chopper until they get out or crash, save 10 cop cars gas. and which would you prefer, the perp pulls up behind you at a red light and waits, or cos he has a cop car behind he rips the paint off your car to get by? i've seen quite a few of these chases where people at traffic lights, half a dozen cars, get their day ruined. here in the UK we can radio ahead on the motorways and we think nothing of boxing cars in with four cop cars, but in LA you don't know where someone will pull off, and if you did that, someone gets shot, you have to assume weapons, you've seen it, even when they voluntarily stop it takes half an hour too make sure there are no weapons. anyway, fun chatting, drive safely, amend the gun laws.
