Schecter makes GREAT guitars, even their budget line is quality.
Ibanez, Schecter, and Musicman
best brands of the current decade
Anything World Music is great these days, but these are actually indonesian made.
And charvel

I fell in love with Schecter Guitars because of this page. I'm saving for Schecter C1 Sls Elite because of his review
@DL Timmerman I called all the guitar shops in town to play the C1 SLS Elite....none in town. Still buying it though
Sweetwater is your friend. Never had a bad experience.
Just got mine today. Great guitar.
I’m getting the e1 sls elite (The same guitar just as an explorer shape)
@@jeffjacobson59
What are your thoughts on Guitar Center?
The Tele you get when you really want the sound of a LP and don't want to compromise on quality. It sounds great, looks great, feels great, plays great, is great, even if it doesn't really sound like a Tele.
Exactly, Schecter PT replaced my Les Paul :)
I love this comment. Exactly my thoughts. Will be selling a Tele and a Guild/DeArmond LP clone for one of these.
@@SirMo genuinely looking to do the same thing! I have a Gibson LP Special but I just don't get on with the poor weight distribution and 24.75 scale. It sounds mega, but I find myself wrestling with it more than I do playing it 😆
The Leads and demonstrations you do for these guitars do them absolute and melodic justice! It looks completely pristine with that finish, and the tones are superb!
Right?!
@@ricstormwolf Definitely!
Why are you everywhere ?
Absolutely!
That looks sleek af
How does this only have 6 likes? This video came out months ago.
Darrell,
Thanks again for all your hard work. The study that went into the content and the practice it took to learn to make great videos.
I gotta say, I think this one's going to be part of your "inner guitar circle". I just can't remember you making so much wonderful "guitar face" in a while. I think you gotta keeper....
It would be interesting if you did a comparison between the PT Pro, PT Fastback, and the PT Special. Nice work as always, Darrell! Love it when you showcase the brands that are grossly underrated

Enjoy!
wonderful review ... as usual BUT...you, of all people should know the difference between a humbucker and a Tele single. Sounds awesome regardless.
Nickel or stainless steel fret wire?
Hey Darrel i have been telling this thing many times to you in many of your videos but i will still tell you again and again. How about trying a kahler bridge ? It’s an excellent bridge. Although I haven’t tried a vega trem I believe kahler is better or at least in that level. I am really looking forward to watch a proper review from you as it is an awesome bridge which many people may not know. Please Darrel give me a reply.
Great job....what model is your amp?
Hi!
It was a comparison between the split humbuckers and the Tele single coils 😉
Gorgeous guitar. Those humbuckers are fantastic. As always Darrell great playing. Thanks
How the hell is there no fret buzz, half the strings look like there just about touching, absolutely stunning guitar though, love the review, thank you!
Really love your channel, you really nailed it when it comes to "explanation" section about guitar and all the specification, you're the best!👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for calling out the difference on the single bridge tone. You are always so positive it's good to hear the honestly. This guitar seems to be a much better fit for metal or higher gain tones.
I’m loving your playing and tones on the first high gain test...I want to hear a whole album of that!
A very thorough review as always Darrell. Very Good Sir. Thank You.
The reviews are second to none. Thanks for the unbiased comments. Your playing is awesome! Keep 'em coming!
I'm a T style lover as I think you are. A gorgeous example of Tele coolness !!!
This guitar was amazing! The look, the sound, everything
your solos are very much Gilmourish melodically and style wise. You should come up with the album of music of this style - you are really nicely delivering it - I would probably listen none stop.
41 seconds in, I'm already pretty amazed by the tones and squeals you're pulling out of her. Wow. Also, a Schecter Tele? With dual humbuckers?? Definitely has my attention.
Well done, as usual, Darrell. The guitar looks great, and the pickups are really impressive. There was one moment, at about 11:40, when I thought the Schecter came very close to duplicating the sound of your Tele. In any case, it handles gain very well, and yes, it looks like it plays very smoothly.
Man, if you every run out of room for these guitars, I've got space here in Nova Scotia! Haha
Bud, he can give one to you but the next one that goes to NS is mine
Nice to see a fellow Bluenoser. Cheers
Love your solo at the end, beautiful playing!
Thanks for the top drawer content, I always look forward to receiving your latest video.
The purple one with an ebony fretboard is me. Great guitar. Great bridge versus a traditional tele. Love the humbuckers. Coil tap is an extra benefit. Just perfect.
Thanks Again Darrell! Nicely Done!
I really like your channel my friend! A lot of good A B and explaination videos!!
Thanks a ton! :)
Great video as always Darrell, beautiful guitar.
I'm with you, Darrell. Double Binding all day!
A lot of features for under a thousand. Awesome. 😎 Roasted maple neck, and the glow the dark inlays is something I’ve been wanting on a guitar for a while.
Wow! That finish is AMAZING! The blue quilt is a gem! Ide like to add, every guitar should have a belly cut! IMO.
Bought a used diamond series schecter tele put Seymour Duncan black winters in it added two dimarzio coil splits, changed to a graphite nut and raised the action a bit! The only thing missing now is locking tuners but it has Grovers. The coil split is fun. nice leads in the intro!
I have an older Schecter PT Diamond series and I love it. It's my favorite guitar. This Pro seems even nicer.
I just bought this exact guitar!!! Awesome quality and tone!!!
Holy crap biscuits I didn’t realize for a minute watching this video I just bought That exact guitar from you Darrell lol she is one sweet piece of guitar goodness, thanks again!!!
Thanks Darrel, once again a great video.
Schecter has been making the best bang-for-your-buck guitars for quite a while. Not sure why they don't get more love.
That action is insane!!
Although not identical to the Fender tele, I was impressed with the split coil tones. Thanks, Darrell!
Finally subscribed because of the SDG in the description!
I heard that when they're roasting maple necks, it smells like cookies.
Yum.
Bottle that and sell it!
Yes It could be, some woods like ash for example smells like you're standing in a bakery. You don't need to roast it, just simple cut the wood with a machine. But, there are some woods which smell awful.
When you work roasted woods they smell pretty cool. Maple smells like smoked maple syrup, ash smells like smokey popcorn.
Cartman farted
Darell awesome review great guitar great playing really showed what tones are in this cool guitar
Beautiful guitar, nice detail thanks DBG.
All these guitars sound great because you use a huge and partner amp I believe, wow what an amp it screams, that's why your studio is so cool with all the guitars and knowledge you have and your killer playing, I have to say you have one of the best guitar reviews on the planet I've learned alot, cheers, warren !!!
whoever voiced those pick ups smashed it! Amazing!
4 years later and this guitar still plays and sounds great, and yes I still own the one in this video.
It has the same control layout as my ESP and epiphone explorers, that’s pretty cool.
I got Schecter Hellraiser FR in black cherry 2 weeks ago. The quilted maple top is stunning but best seen on a good light. The tone is killer and it's very versatile.
That purple-burst looks awesome!
I'm inloved with the Schecter since I knew that Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance uses the brand. But you're making me obsessed with it every time you're doing a review of it.
Beautiful Instrument, great review. Thanks so much.
I've owned quite a few schecters and they have always been the most comfortable for my style of play.
Ya gotta stop doing this to me. I bought a PT special after seeing your review and its now my favorite. But... I want this one.
😂 Sorry!
The PT Special is one my favorites - congratulations!
I was looking at this one and the PT special. Ultimately I ended up ordering the PT special due to the neck profile, the pickups, and the creature comforts, but this is a beautiful finish. Thanks for the review Darrell! Love your channel.
Same here!
First Schecter I’ve liked the look and sound of... great review
Bought one yesterday should be delivered n about 5 days, really looking forward to playing it
Hey Darrell, I just think your great man, I'm impressed with schecter guitars, you've taught me alot about guitars and I'm getting better but your an awesome guitar player and it's really inspiring to watch your videos so I'm. Getting a shecter solo 2 black jack which you did a demo on both the solo 2 with gold hardware what a great value for under a grand, thanks I'm forever grateful, I'm a drummer percussionist but I love, love the guitar cheers, warren vollaro !!!
I have a Schecter PT partscaster that's probably older than you DB. Got it as a graduation present back in 1985 from Rudy's Music in NYC.
Love it. I must get one someday. Nice video buddy. Take care 😎👍👌💪💯🎸🎸
Great guitar and sounds really super. Oh the site calls them medium output pickups based on earlier years ones. Pretty, modern and well constructed. Thanks!
Darrell I love my schector hellraiser with sustainiac and an EMG . awesome guitar 🎸
That crunch section is sweet!
Thanks for another great vid. A straight on front view of the Pt pro is very dramatic. Actually think I would prefer the guitar without the binding and with Contours.
That beautiful binding does give it a real Nashville type vibe. Been meaning to say thanks for the sign offs in Latin, btw.
that blue pops really well
I have this exact guitar for about 18 months now, and I still love it! Weak point seems to be the push-pull tone potentiometer, which I am going to replace for a better one now. But hey, if this is the only thing....
Great review....awesome guitar. Just wanted to point out, you missed mentioning the pickups have individually adjustable pole pieces like the MFD. Pretty cool!! Thanks for what you do bud!
Being a Tele fan I love it!
Great demo, Thanks for sharing brother! Be Well D!
Probably in my top 5 guitars that I like the most, great guitar
I dig it even though I’m more a fan of flame tops. Seems to have a good set of pickups too.
Hi Darrell, Excellent Video 👍👍👍.
I really like that.Schecter, absolutely Beautiful!
Brilliant Playing by the way!
Thank you 👍
Take care♥️👍
Melbourne, Australia
At 1:11, from the guitar reflection I see at AT-AT model in the window. WHAT A NERD! Love you DBG
More like 1:12
Looks like an awesome instrument at a decent price point. Personally I would forgo the binding in favor of comfort cutouts. Form vs function and whatnot. I would definitely replace those string trees for for a snag-free option or, as you suggested, staggered tuning machines.
The roasted or torrefied process is not so much for drying up the water in the wood. That easily causes over shrinkage, cracks and warps. In fact wood kiln drying includes humidifying. It is intended to drive out the volotiles like turpine and vaporizes oils out hardening the lignin in the wood. This simulates aging both in properties and color. A humidifier in the case is still good practice to prevent the wood from drying out
Man That guitar is beautiful.
Beautiful solo!
Looks like a very nice setup from the factory from Schecter!
I got one!!!! I think you do a great Job at reviewing guitars. Go Schecter!!!
Sick man, enjoy your channel!
Charvel is releasing the new Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 24 HH HT CM soon. It's up for preorder. It comes loaded with the new Fishman open core humbuckers, and other great features for 899 US. It also has a really cool looking reverse Tele headstock. It seems like Fender is using the Charvel brand to put modern spins on the classic Tele, and Strats.
When I get one of these guitars I will buy a box of your talent to go with it.
another terrific review, and OMG that flame....and roasted maple neck,,,mmmmm very nice
The "new" Schecter line is great. My next guitar WILL be a Schecter. What I would try on that machine is a "Peter Green-modification".
Hi Darrell, another great video thank you!
One thing which has come to mind since you changed amps is that I wonder how the guitars would demonstrate through a different pre/post gain and tubes.
The H&K seems to have quite a "signature" tone which colours the guitars (like every amp does for sure).
Cheers!
I'm not usually much of a Tele shape fan....until your myriad of stellar Teles! Once again, beautiful guitar and great playing. Full on GAS ensues... God bless and rock on 🎸👍😎
I love that quilted top & colour
So beautiful hope to have one
Thanks for the great video. I just bought one.
I've never been a big fan of Tele's, but I like this one a lot.
Wow this is dope, blue perfectly fits maple
That guitar is beautiful
Oh that is sweet! I really like that Blue and black. I need to get me a Tele. 34 years and I have Never owned one before. Hell I cannot even remember if I ever played on one? But that there! Thats nice.
Best guitar related content on RUclips.
Schecter knocking it out of the park, like usual.
Schecter IMO is the best bang for your buck ,I've got two of the Korean made their fit finish is as good as it gets , great players.
Dennis Applegate what model would you recommend. Around 500$ price range?
@@kevinsmoon3257 if you go used you have a ton of options
Korean-made guitars are the best after American-made.
@@bobsmoot5106 truth!
@@bobsmoot5106 I'll compare them with Gibsons best and Gibys will lose fit finish and playability are far superior not to mention design flaws Gibson refuses to fix .
Schecter has really diversified in the last few years from a more metal oriented guitar company , still love my 7 string with EMG's lol
Nice guitar Darrell, I was scanning different channels about mini amps and came across a Black-star Fly 3. Is like to have you opinion the little thing. Have a well week. Love to here you play.
Been looking at this guitar for a few weeks now, I think it looks absolutely beautiful with that blue & black hardware and roasted neck . . . lol 🙂Your review push me over the edge I’m going to buy one 👍
You won't regret it. I was able to snag one for $799, worth every penny.
The only thing I had to do was adjust the saddle height there was some minor fret buzz on the high e string, and a small tweak to the truss rod.
It plays like butter now and sounds amazing
That sure is purdy and it sounds good too!!
What a beautiful guitar!
Love the low profile bridge.
Another top review...i hope you are going to do a nick Johnson schecter strat as part of the series...I tried one in a music store...felt so comfortable and built so well...i have a schecter extreme stiletto 4 bass...love schecter guitars...
The Trans Purple looks great too!
These new PT's are a beauty but the Charvel ProMod style 2's with the Fishman open cores are just so much value for the money
