Actually, they call them PTs as a tribute to Pete Townshend, who played a Schecter t-style guitar from 1979 or 80 til 1988. The PT Fastback is a tribute to him.
I like the double binding and the finish. Neat guitar, especially for the money. If it were up to me I'd put a different set of pickups in there, though.
A nice guitar and review. I guess I am a bit of a traditionalist in ways. I play mainly modded Tele's, but write and play hard rock. I like a lot of it's features, but don't like that they didn't do the rear belly cut and front forearm cuts on the body.
Exactly. I have a PT fastback single bound that has the contours back and front so they do this on other models but it could be the figured top is a problem.
@@grayman7914 It could be for the front, but then I seem to remember others simply using the top around the contour and then just using a color on the contour that blends well. The top could be a veneer too which can be better for that task. I'm not a luthier though. I just watched and learned what I could years ago working in music stores, from the luthiers in them.
GOD!!!!!!! I did not know you were that good on guitar. Amazing jam bro. I have been subscribed for a while. My old account got hacked so I don't know how long but I never knew.
I appreciate your opinions and demonstrations of featured gear. Always great stuff. I actually bought an HB Amarok Baritone partially based on one of your reviews. Side question: Where do you get your shirts, Henning?
The track has such a strong Pre-Lovedrive Scorpions vibe - I actually felt 14 for a few seconds before the backpain kicked in again ;-) (Und bei den Spiegelungen könnte ein Polfilter helfen :) )
This is a really nice guitar!... I have to explain my wife why I have to own more than 4 guitars... If you have ideas that works... I have a list of guitars that I want to buy. This guitar is probably also in my list. I have to check it in my music store...
In a similar situation here as well, for me the color was enough to distract her from asking that question. She was mesmerized saying the she loves the purple color. Other option is buy similar looking guitars so she doesn't notice, or be straight up.
Too bad the frets aren't stainless steel. Ticks all the other boxes. Charvel and Schecter are both dragging their heels on this, just like Gibson and Fender.
Lot of widly didly and amp display and too little info about feeling... Pu clarity and what is the opposite side. Specs of competition? No branded pu's ? Also no stainless steel frets. Charvel were are you? No man this review sucks...

@@SimonStreuffViolinEducation I do not say that it is not good guitar... I ask if it is good enough in comparison with Charvels, Chapmans solars etc which have SD picups and ss frets. Do the Shecter usa pickups deliver? what this review told you ?
@@EytschPi42 He's trolling. No one I can think of starts with a legit full-band track and then goes through so many amps. Schecter are awesome and so are you. If the traditionalists don't like this video, they shouldn't watch!
@@EytschPi42 Henning you can easily ban people like that! Will not be coming something good out of them. This video was awesome and the guitar is too. Would have loved to listen to the orange rockerverb 50 with it, but the Soldano was amazing!
I just got mine last Friday. My first guitar in this price range and I am absolutely in love!
Great review! Keep up with your great work!
Good review!! Always enjoy your content.
Glad to see you are using some Italian amps, more people should be aware of the existence of some brands made in this country
Not just Italy . But many places outside England and USA
Just played one. Immediately committed to purchase. Instant love 💕 Same issue with the pickup selector though🙄
Thanks for these reviews and gear breakdowns, Henning. It means a lot... even for a dirt poor guy like me. I can dream....
I just ordered this guitar based on looks and reviews. Excellent review here with all the info you need. Thanks for sharing.
How do you like it so far ?
Schecter is killing it with their Telecasters

I MUST HAVE THIS GUITAR!
As always great reviews. Will be reviewing the Schecter van nuys soon?
Grooooovy guitar!!!
people always want to hate on schecter but i own 2 and they’re my favorite guitars

Felix is such a beast!
I can confirm the luminlay can be seent from the Moon .
They make some very MetaaaaaaaaaL guitars even in a T style.

I think the shirts are a brand named Mr. Gugu, they have webpage

I bought similar looking guitar, ESP LTD M-1000BP :P.
I always thought PT stood for Pete Townshend. He played this model in the 80s.
It does, informally since he hasn't endorsed
Thanks EytschPi

i don't see a thinline in the Schecter lineup. That'd be nice.
PT = Pete Townshend btw
you can send me that when you're done with it.
2143 is that too late? Or is 2142 late 4th quarter soon enough?
PT = Pete Townshend

Dude, party the fuck up.
I‘d rather not
Shecter literally copied ESP Cranberry Sunburst finish. That is a shame...
They are different, the Schecter is a deeper purple/magenta.
"Everything a modern guitar should have" *0 contours* sadface.
