      I use this CAT only for medium logs and i don't see another truck that can beat it.
      It has good power,good stability and tires.
      The only problem with this truck is in water and super specialized.
      In my opinion CAT 745G is the best truck of this game.

    Damn I love this game. Can you imagine what the next instalment of the series will be like? Just look at the improvements from Mudrunner to Snowrunner.

      God you’re enjoying it. I’m not sure what the next installment will be. I’m just hoping season 8 is a good one

    I used the 745C (medium Logs x1) to winch a Tayga 6455B (medium logs x1) with log trailer (medium Logs x1) through the muddy winding path to the Lumber Mill on Lake map. The Tayga's engine was off and it still could go on High Gear along the path towards the wooden bridges leading to the said Mill.

    The articulation on the CAT 745C allows for torsion as well as steering, making it grippier and much more stable than other articulated trucks (I'm looking at YOU, Azov Antarctic!).
    Love your work man! Honestly a bit shocked you don't have more viewers :o

      Very Good Point! Oh gosh ya the Antarctic is a nightmare for tipping. Thank you for the comment and support. Well if this is enjoyable for the few people that watch; I can be happy about that.

    Before even watching this vid, I got to say I love this thing. I lean on it as a lifeline. It is basically a manual "recover" -- just takes a little more time, but you recover in position instead of back in the garage.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 года назад

      It is a lifeline! Thats a good nickname for it actually. After getting this truck, I instantly became enboldened when driving because I knew I had back up.

    I recall in Amur that I had a bit of a mess, vehicles were tipped over in the mud, rocky terrain and little options for traction because if it wasn't mud it was ice. Even the Tatarin was having a tough time getting the big vehicles flipped back over. Burning through fuel and getting nowhere. Even had a Dan with the heavy crane and it couldn't right these trucks (they were a couple fuel tankers heading to Aegis).
    So I even said aloud "Fine, you want me to get it? You're forcing my hand here."
    There's a reason it's called the Golden Angel.

  • @scenebabe06
    @scenebabe06 Год назад

    absolutely in love with this thing. nothing stops it whatsoever. it never gets high centered on rocks, cuts through broken ice, and can bridge gaps between terrain (particularly in amur). it also has a beastly engine sound. no matter what got flipped over or how i managed it, this thing is gonna get to it. its winch is ridiculously strong, so it often times doesn't even need to drive to upright something.
    the only things i'm not a fan of with this thing are the lack of always on features and no snorkel. i've damaged the engine pretty considerably in wisconsin and maine. it probably would be op as all hell with those properties though

    As someone who drives a 745 cat articulated rock truck I got to say those trucks are tanks and will go through a lot of slop, they did a pretty good job on the truck in this game

    As a kid I used to have a metal toy truck of the Volvo BM, A25C or 5350 model (something like that) with the hydraulic pistons mounted on the side of the bucket, so getting to play with a similar truck in this game was pretty nostalgic. :)
    Its a shame it can't carry trailers or use more addons tho, but what it does do it does really well. Probably the most reliable and safest medium log hauler in the game even if it can only carry one load per trip.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  9 месяцев назад

      It is a very stable, safe medium log hauler! Most definitely agree

    I couldn't find a use for it in my main playthrough until they added medium log carrier. But still, I don't like log contracts in the game, so I'm rarely using it, the main purpose is heavy rescue vehicle. This thing will unstick everything that is needed with ease. I used it in Yukon for that task with a Loadstar stuck in the rocks. Failed to do so with a Hummer, the 1700 just couldn't fit in a narrow gap between rocks, but the CAT just plucked it out there like a cork from a bottle.

    It was ok I used it on Michigan medium log missions. Using add-on I kept getting stuck in trees. But it was ok I would recommend it just to make someone mad 😆

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  3 года назад +1

      Ya getting hung up on trees is my worse nightmare with the CAT especially when I'm trying to rescue another truck in a tight area.

    If anyone tries to argue that the Kolobs are better, I would point this out: there are certain trails hemmed in by tall rocks on either side, making them too narrow for anything other than a scout truck to pass through. The Kolobs have to turn around at these kinds of trails; the 745C just climbs over the rocks.

      745C can get a lot of places with articulation

    nathan chained tires make you perform badder in snow. the mud rating is also snow rating. chained tires are just for ice.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  Год назад

      Yes sir, Im very aware still, I trust myself to lose a little bit of snow traction to not slip on ANY icy surface

    This vehicle has a very cool bug(I don't know about the consoles but it works in the PC version), which allows you to carry 2 slots of medium logs(and short logs as well)
    All you need to do is load the logs, unpack them and load another logs and surprisingly you have a paked log and 3 spare logs wich you can pack them later (you can't carry more than 2 slots of logs because the logs will disappear)
    And it holds those spare logs pretty well (but don't drive with it like an idiot).
    I think this bug appears because of the bigger size of the log carrier compared to the log trailers.

    • @gmdgamingdoost3695
      @gmdgamingdoost3695 2 года назад

      Please don't fix this bug saber because logs are one of the most frustrating cargos to carry😑😂

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 года назад

      Pretty cool trick! So you can pack both sets and they work?

    • @gmdgamingdoost3695
      @gmdgamingdoost3695 2 года назад

      @@NProvince you need to unload the first one, then pack the second one
      (If the unpacked logs are more than 3, the other ones will get disappeared)

      Ok I’ll try that out !

    The problem with the CAT745C isn't it has articulated steering, the Antarctic has that as well and works fine.
    The steering on the CAT is bugged, lets say your going around a long gentle turn and your on controller making small adjustments, so lets say your doing like a small flick left, left, left. Well the CAT will often jolt to the right before it actually turns left and follows your commands.
    This apparently isn't a issue on wheel, but lets also be real. Wheel users only make up a small percentage of the player base. So why this hasn't been fixed for controller yet (which is the default control type all systems outside PC comes with) hasn't been fixed after over a year, screams that Sabre is either lazy or plain don't care. Which is a shame as I really do like this game.
    And it's not like this issue can't be fixed. One of the Freightliner trucks used to have this same issue and Sabre patched it (eventually). So they can fix this, they just can't be bothered to put in the work and fix the coding.
    As of now the CAT only ever leaves my garage when I need medium logs, I'd love to use it so much more but the bugged steering stops me from taking it out very often. And to be frank, waiting over a year now for this thing to get fixed is getting quite ridiculous at this point.
    But yea that's why driving the CAT sucks, because the steering is bugged and Sabre refuses to do anything about it.
