This guys a legend for people who want to learn,,this guy is thorough and is not a moron,,,how many idiots are online that dont even talk,,this guy explains himself,,,a big thankyou to you
Feed my brain. I need more. I actually found this quite informative. I'm a graphic designer for a balloon company that silkscreens rubber inks onto latex balloons. Setting up the art to me is second nature. I already understand how silkscreening works, but have never actually done it myself. This is a big help.
What a great video! Loaded with lots of great information. A company that produces this level of support videos has to be the manufacturer and seller of high-quality supplies and equipment. I will be buying my first silk screen press and supplies from them.
Thank you for the comment. That's what the fast forward button's for. Pick and choose what you want to take out of this video. That was the angle we took.
im trying to get into printing on optical media (cd/dvd) is their a special kind of emulsion for that or would any emusion work? (my screen is 360-460 mesh) thanks
Wow most companies would charge redicolous money for a Training DVD like this your Vids are always clear and interesting not boring like the others keep up the good work, Darren - Caged FightWear, Nevada
Thanks for the information You have convinced me I can do this too! Great Video. I will have to watch it a few more times and make sure I didn't miss anything. Best of luck to you and your business
Lately I been really interested in this I'm about to move to Mexico and this will be a good idea for a business watched the whole video the only complicated thing I saw is dealing with the computer doing the designs I got no patience for that but I'm going to have to learn. Really good video all I got to do now its get 300$
Our company has been engaged in the production of digital cutting machines, and intends to shoot a demonstration video of the machine. Your video has given us a lot of inspiration!
Thank you. I've seen quite a few of your videos and they've been quite helpful. I'll definitely check some more out. I'm sure my bands will want some t-shirts printed after I do my first shirts. :)
I'm trying to get hired at a screen pressing Heat transfer company. And I took a college class on it a few years ago. And. Now here I am on RUclips still learning and hoping to get this job.
I would suggest using Fed-Ex Kinkos to output film it's well priced and works a lot better then white copying paper. The white copying paper would be too opac for light to shine through.
Just bought $2000 screen press and don't know how to use it. I'm a artist so design come natural. the process of putting it on a shirt is going to be challenging. i glad i cam across you channel threw Reyes the Entrepreneur. I might check out that 20x20. i wanna do them classic rock posters style.
Can I use Black and White copier transparencies? And copy my logo onto it with a laser printer? Or do i have to use the transparency that came with the package? Thank you ~
Love this video. Learnt a lot. We are trying to start a company back home in Jamaica so this will definitely come in handy. My question is: How long can we store a frame with the artwork? For instance if I have a logo that I know I will use for a long time for a customer, how long can I keep it for before I have to redo it? Also where should I store it?
It sounds like you didn't let your ink cure long enough before peeling the paper off. That's why the parchment paper is so sticky. Make sure the ink reaches 320 degrees before peeling the paper back off the t-shirt.
in a quick production process say you dont have someone to cure the shirts for you right afterwards. Do they need to be cured the minute you take the shirt off?
If I emulsified three screens in my dark room at 11:00 am, (dark room is low humidity with a fan) what is the earliest time I could use them? I use HiFi Photopolymer Emulsion.
You don't have to use the film that came with it but there's certain advantages to using high quality film. Ultimately you will make better screens with it but for now, you can use a laser printer. Check out some of our videos on r-film amd blackmaxx
Hi Ryon, Can you tell me which Illustrator to use...I am interested in this business' Since i am brand new to it, there are so many. Not sure which to purchase Thanks'
Man, what a great video, i learned more in this video than every other source i have watched in 2 years..... THANK YOU! But , ryonet does not sell the ACCURIP dvd any more, ...so now what?
I'm buzzing to start this , 3 questions , if I brought colour inks do I just use the same kind of process ? , can I use any ink jet printer ? Can you recommend a cheap t-shirt manufacturer I can order stock from?
Ryon, great detail and technique, i always learn so much from you, i just got my self 2x1 Silver Press i kind of grow out of the yudu michine, actually i discover your store in Los Angeles area Ms.Gallegos by far is the costumer service i ever deal with, i was wondering if you could honor the offer of the free class you offer with the Hobbie press even tough i bought the 2x1 press?
Hi @NANCY Mccoy. The short answer is YES. The long answer - depending on the ink you choose to print, you will need to research temperature and settings to be successful. Here's a link to a recent blog we had about heat presses... www.screenprinting.com/blogs/news/the-heat-press-every-printers-secret-tool Totally doable, Nancy! THANKS
I used the black ink that was included with the starter kit. Maybe I used too much ink or didn't let it heat up long enough? The last one I made worked fine, but I wasn't sure what I did wrong the first couple of times. I appreciate the reply!
Hi Ryonet. I am using adobe illustrator. Just wondering a few things… what kind of print settings do I use out of illustrator? I saw one tutorial where they seperated each color into its own document. So, if I did that. is there any specific settings I need to do for print or do i even need to put each color in its own document? Is there something essentially the same as corel that let's you separate in print settings? thanks!
This guys a legend for people who want to learn,,this guy is thorough and is not a moron,,,how many idiots are online that dont even talk,,this guy explains himself,,,a big thankyou to you
Thank you for watching Robert!! :)

I just soaked all this info up like a sponge, good video. Thanks!
Way to go! Thanks for watching and subscribe for more!
What a great video! Loaded with lots of great information. A company that produces this level of support videos has to be the manufacturer and seller of high-quality supplies and equipment. I will be buying my first silk screen press and supplies from them.
Dear God. Excellent video. May God bless you for your clear & nice explanations.
So nice of you, thank you. Glad you enjoy it!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
The curing sheet is not supposed to stick to the shirt. What type of shirt/ink are you using?
Thank you for the comment. That's what the fast forward button's for. Pick and choose what you want to take out of this video. That was the angle we took.
It wouldn't be opac enough to burn a screen with. Some areas may wash out where others would just be hardened by the light.
Hands down, still the best silkscreen printing tutorial on RUclips ✌😎👍
Wow, thank you!

I am a little confused. Once my design is picked out, when I go to use my home printert, I use the clear film paper that was provided ?
It depends. For just a sold image, sure. It won't be as dark but it will probably work!
Yes it is if you have the right art film and a 305 mesh screen you can accomplish this.
ryonet, you just keep getting better and better!
Thanks for the information You have convinced me I can do this too! Great Video. I will have to watch it a few more times and make sure I didn't miss anything. Best of luck to you and your business
so awesome that you are providing such a long and detailed video for free! thankyou!

can you use an iron press to cure?
Yes, with a few modifications. You need different emulsion and ink.
Our company has been engaged in the production of digital cutting machines, and intends to shoot a demonstration video of the machine. Your video has given us a lot of inspiration!
That's awesome to hear, we hope you are able to inspire others through your craft as well!

Do you have to use film positive ink to print film positives? Or can I use regular black ink jet printer ink? Is there a difference? Thanks!
I would suggest using Fed-Ex Kinkos to output film it's well priced and works a lot better then white copying paper. The white copying paper would be too opac for light to shine through.

GREAT VIDEO! I would say this is the best tutorial I have seen by far this far... thanks
I'm not sure what your question is? Are you asking about the film output process?
See you at the impressions next year 2024. Thank you for your videos.

are screens re usable?
Sure. That really has more to do with the placement of the screen and the type of ink. Will it work? Yes. Is it the best possible solution? No.
I used the black ink that was included with the starter kit. Maybe I used too much ink or didn't let it heat up long enough? The last one I made worked fine, but I wasn't sure what I did wrong the first couple of times. I appreciate the reply!
