All of it are mo-capped, eventually following the rules of physics. I also like how the Dragonslayer sounds when it swings, like swatting a huge stick creating a whooshing sound instead of a cast-iron skillet clang 😂
IDK why, but my favorite part of that shot has to be Guts standing his ground in the face of Zodd's apostle form while he's wielding Dragonslayer like it's a club.
What's awesome is that you can tell they really wanted to get the Dragon Slayer physics down perfectly. This does feel like how someone would wield such a huge sword. You can also tell they wanted to really emphasize Gut's unique reckless fighting style during the clashes.
You can use PS2 Emulator to play this game. The link to download is probably somewhere on Reddit. This was how I installed and played this game and also the old edition of Shadow of the Colossus
@@GatsuKS Except for the Grunbeld fight where he turns into his apostle form That took forever for me to actually beat. A lot of the time I wasn't doing any damage to him for some reason But other than that, yeah, it's pretty fun for the most part despite some of its issues, and I do enjoy the game a lot.
its honestly insane how a game made nearly 20 years ago looks better than an anime made in 2017
It's because this game was made by Berserk fans
The counters are amazingly well-choreographed for a ps2 game.
the choreography correctly follows the manga, this is the way Miura intended the characters to move. If you read it you'll notice.

Aside from the fact that it's way better than the anime, even the ps4 game doesn't come close
Rickert not being there was definitely a bad decision
wait what
@@wileymanful Rickert could've bitch slapped Griffith.
@@valtenLbOz1495 too soon😆
that scene with griffith and guts is good enough
I agree. The scene worked good enough as a flashback in context yet Rickert was important as well.

Way better than the 2016 anime
One of my favourite intros for a boss ever
THIS FIGHT IS PURE BERSERK PEAK, and to be playable is a dream come true, goddamit, why was this game Japan only

Best fight ever
I didn't notice but this guts is slightly stronger than manga guts
close fight
0:52 lies
It's on hard mode?
@@Dhaos620 Yes
The ps2 game is honestly pretty boring. Besides this one fight it really isn't worth it.
better than recent anime adaptations
Better than 2016 and 2017 anime adaptation
Not really, it gets repetitive after a while but the boss battles are great. In general a good game.

shit opinion
For those saying this was better then the 2016-17 adaptation your buggin all the way out. Other than the grunbeld and this fight the gameijs ass
2016-17 is the real ass dude
@GatsuForce it really isn't tho
you're wrong
@@Nihilism110 prove it . Cause I know for a fact this game was ass
Totally better than that mess of an anime
