Honorable mentions to Euro Truck Simulator 2 & American Truck Simulator, which came out at about the same time DC did. The amount of detail they (SCS Software, a Czech-based company) put into the trucks you drive, and the sounds & sights in the game, is amazing.

Well, harcore fan (like me) doesn't dislike the style of the game, it's a great game but a very bad FF main entry. It was suposed to be a spin off and if you take it like that it's a great one but selling it as a main entry was a "mistake" (they made a lot of money so... "mistake"). At the end of the day, most of us remember what a sh*t show FF13 Versus developpement was and we ended up with FF15, a great spin off, a great game but the worse FF Main Entry.

My personal mention: GTA 4. It came out in 2008 and it still holds up.
Additional mentions: Uncharted 4 looks like it could be released today and it'd look amazing. The Last of Us Remastered from 2013 still held up for a time (until Uncharted came out and then it raised the bar, and Naughty Dog raised it again when TLOU 2 dropped). Rise of the Tomb Raider holds up incredibly well (some tech youtubers still use it for benchmarks). Mad Max from 2015 still holds up. Some of the older Resident Evil games (mainly 6) still hold up. Resi 7 still holds up incredibly well. Also, the fact that games like AC Origins and Metro Exodus are on here but Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't, I think is unfair. Red Dead 2 could also release today and would probably be the best looking game in both graphics and details. Hell, might as well throw God of War 2018 and Marvel's Spider-Man in the mix, as well. All hold up to this day. There's a lot of games from years ago that still hold up incredibly well. You could very well make a part 2 and include a lot more games.

If we're having 2015-19 be the era of 'old' then you could include Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018), Kingdom Come Deliverance (2018) and Hitman (2016) as well as the best looking game I'd seen up to that point and still one of the best BY FAR to this day EA's Battlefront (2015) and EA Battlefront 2 (2017) both looking incredible and really immerse you into the worlds of Star Wars with excellent sound design to go alongside. There's also Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017), pretty much all the Far Cry games (ubisoft always tend to have high priority for decent gameplay and equal or better graphics so including ubisoft games at all is a bit of a cheat) and not to mention games like Subnautica (2014) and No Mans Sky (2016). I think people underestimate how good games from around 2015 looked because the consoles were so under par next to PC and now they have progressed to a point where they are still very under par next to PC lol
The new consoles are more than equal to 2015 pc's now though so I can only imagine how games will look in 5 years time
