AC1 (Sorry for the AC1 combat rant that I will go into.) AC1 has, in my opinion, by far the best combat in the series. Its easy to think of it as slow and defensive, but upon becoming more skillful, you begin to utilize offense more and more. Since most people played AC2 before AC1, they bring the defensive mentality from AC2 into AC1, ignoring how viable an offensive play-style is. Outside of combat, AC1 also has the freest parkour (if a bit clunky), and a great story. It’s flaws, unfortunately, drop AC1 from first to third. The game is very repetitive, and has some jank. Combat became slower and more defensive, while simultaneously becoming easier. Its enemy variations felt gimmicky. The money system in this game felt like more of a hindrance than anything else - buying medicine sucked. Notoriety punishes poor stealth by annoying you. Parkour was ruined, single handedly by the climb-jump feature. You have to press a button to jump, then press another button to catch. What button do you press to catch? The same button you use to release your grip from a wall. This makes it frustrating as you might accidentally release grip of the wall and plummet down to the rivers of Venice, wasting more time. The climb jump doesn’t add any strategic depth to parkour, all it does it make climbing vertically have a random extra interaction for no apparent reason. I hate the climb jump. From what i have played 1.Black flag 2.Brotherhood 3.AC 2 4.Revelations 5.Origins 6.Syndicate Black flag- has a good story ships a re great amd has a good final mission Brotherhood - continues straight from AC 2 only reason it is higher is because of the final mission AC 2 - the last mission boss villain feels rushed and not as enjoyable. If there was more of a fluidity and we knew about rodrigp before could have been higher. It really lets the rest of the game down. Revelations - Ok story ties up Ezio and altair's stories and finishes of the trilogy with him leaving the creed to live his life. Origins - good story don't love the combat but its okay but not as good. Syndicate - Ok story i like the not that funny silly jokes but the 2 big fights are horrible and are buggy.
I'm about 150 hours into AC Odyssey and still keep finding side missions everywhere. It's nucking futs but you're right, it's not an AC game. Weird that you ranked Odyssey last and Origins first considering how similar they appear to be. I wasn't going to bother with Origins because after this collosal waste of time I wanted to play an actual AC game again. Sounds like I might have to give Origins a shot.
I definitely recommend it, Bayek's mission and purpose for doing what he does in the game was a big draw for me, especially being able to explore the insides of pyramids and tombs as part of the side content helped me not get bored of doing it
This video is an instant classic, you have a lot of talent, the punchlines hit perfectly with the editing. Keep up the good work this was amazing and I am only 5 minutes in.
While my favorite game got last, i do have to concede your point that it is not really assassin's creed. Heck through most of the game i was legitimately annoyed by the like 30 minutes total of modern day stuff that occured. I never really think about the assassins creed part of the game, only really falling in love with the game as an "Ancient Greek hero and mercenary simulator" plus having the father of history as my ride along was a great bonus.

Thank God. I never understood why Black Flag is so overrated. It was the only one I didn´t finish because the never ending naval battles. Syndicate is my favourite.
The only problem with Unity is the story, even the Arno being boring issue is solved in Dead Kings DLC. Combat is the best of the series, parkour is the best of the series, the setting is one of the best of the series, the bugs were solved and stealth is highly rewarded. It's the best game of the series.
AC4 and Edward are more Assassin than Ezio in AC2. Ezio is out for revenge nearly the whole time, Edward is out for fortune and *freedom*. Edward also is in the creed sooner after the start of their respective stories and earlier in his life

@@speedtelevision It's next on my list. Plan on starting it once I get over an ear infection. Don't want to play it and miss out on the soundtrack and ambience.
Great intelligent list. I just don’t agree with Syndicate. First off Jakob and Evie are unbearable for me. I don’t think London fits a comedy it’s a depressing shit hole where the story should provide real emotion I never felt any sympathy from the two characters. They’re both act like immature teenagers that shouldn’t be allowed to be assassins. I couldn’t take the antagonist very seriously at all they weren’t intimidating what so ever and they’re very forgettable. The stealth missions were amazing but they weren’t as memorable as AC1. I didn’t get very much satisfaction assassinating targets in Syndicate. Although gang wars are cool it doesn’t feel like assassins creed. I’d rather have assassin recruits than gangsters. I honestly think the game could have even benefited both. Jakob would have is combative gangsters and Evie could have stealth assassin recruits. But pure gangsters don’t work for me. It makes me think Jakob doesn’t care about the Creed. The Jack the Ripper dlc was some what interesting. I just hate how his identity was given right away I got so uninterested after that. It really ruined the story arc and ending because of how lame it was. If it had the twist it would’ve made the story so much more satisfying. The fear gimmic was really awesome with Jack but making Evie use it was so goofy it just left stealth almost pointless for her and her gameplay did not play well at all. Because the game forced you to be stealthy when it be more efficient to run around scaring everyone. It made Evie not feel like an assassin at all and I feel like that still be important even in dlcs.

13. Assassin's Creed Odyssey : Pelopponessian War
From what i have played
1.Black flag
2.Brotherhood
3.AC 2
4.Revelations
5.Origins
6.Syndicate
Black flag- has a good story ships a re great amd has a good final mission
Brotherhood - continues straight from AC 2 only reason it is higher is because of the final mission
AC 2 - the last mission boss villain feels rushed and not as enjoyable.
Syndicate -
Ok story i like the not that funny silly jokes but the 2 big fights are horrible and are buggy.
Great editing and commentary. Excited for more
ayyy thanks man
Ezio's trilogy and black flag had superior writing so they're my favourite.
I definitely recommend it, Bayek's mission and purpose for doing what he does in the game was a big draw for me, especially being able to explore the insides of pyramids and tombs as part of the side content helped me not get bored of doing it
Ok I'm sold on it. I'm ditching Odyssey and starting Origins. Downloading it now...
This looks great, will comment when done
This video is an instant classic, you have a lot of talent, the punchlines hit perfectly with the editing.
Keep up the good work this was amazing and I am only 5 minutes in.
Thank you!
unity is so underrated the story and everything was actuallly good tho
Unity at 11 is crazy, definitly top 3 for me
While my favorite game got last, i do have to concede your point that it is not really assassin's creed.
From the games I played:
1. AC Black Flag
2. AC Revelations
3. ACII
4. ACI
5. AC Brotherhood
6. AC Syndicate
7.AC Rogue
8. AC Unity
Great video btw!!!
1. AC brotherhood
2. AC black flag
3. AC 2
4. Revelations
5. origins
6. Assassins creed
7. Unity
8. AC Valhalla (how has this made it here)
9. AC3
10. AC syndicate
11. AC rogue
12. AC odyssey
mirage would be between Unity and Ac1
Is this your personal ranking?
@@speedtelevision no its the definitive
I just now seen this and tbh ive never really cared for oddesy or Valhalla i tried to give them both a chance and just had a hard time getting into them bc it didnt feel like assassin's creed to me i loved the landscapes and stuff in them just not really my thing but it kinda saddens me how many ppl hate on syndicate i loved the game thought it was good my own brothers even told me they thought it was bad idk how i really enjoyed it over unity i liked unity but i feel they could of done a lot better on it then they way they went with it but anyways if i had to say my own opinion on my favorite one its tough bc i really liked black flag and origins but im a huge fan of pirate stuff all though egypt was cool id have to say my overall favorite is blackflag
Origins and the very first game are probably the best
Altair is the best Assassin ever
Thank God. I never understood why Black Flag is so overrated. It was the only one I didn´t finish because the never ending naval battles. Syndicate is my favourite.
Seeing Odyssey last makes me automatically press like.
Fr
The only problem with Unity is the story, even the Arno being boring issue is solved in Dead Kings DLC. Combat is the best of the series, parkour is the best of the series, the setting is one of the best of the series, the bugs were solved and stealth is highly rewarded. It's the best game of the series.
1.AC4
2.AC3
3.AC Origins
4.AC Brotherhood
5.AC1
6.AC Revelations
7.AC2
8.AC Unity
9.AC Syndicate
10.AC Rogue
11.AC Odyssey
Haven't played Valhalla and Mirage
AC4 and Edward are more Assassin than Ezio in AC2. Ezio is out for revenge nearly the whole time, Edward is out for fortune and *freedom*. Edward also is in the creed sooner after the start of their respective stories and earlier in his life
AC1 beats all other ACs in a few ways and, because AC1 isn't a bloated mess, that makes it the best.
yo bro what about ac liberation???
@@inousuke2067 I addressed I wasn't including it in the intro

1. AC 2

8. AC Syndicate
9. AC 1
10. AC Rogue
I haven't played Origins, Valhalla, or Mirage yet.
you gotta try and get around to playing origins but fair enough rankings
@@speedtelevision It's next on my list. Plan on starting it once I get over an ear infection. Don't want to play it and miss out on the soundtrack and ambience.
Him: No. 13 - AC Odyssey
Me: Stops video. Blocks channel.
"i-pad kid adventure"
it really do be like that
AC Revelations story is one of the best in the series
I don't agree with your ranking, but you did a good job about explaining why it's like that for you. At the end of the day, rankings are subjective and you did a good job explaining it.
Personally:
Never played/DNF: Rogue and Mirage
11. Valhalla
10. Syndicate
9. AC3
8. Unity (The best parkour the series has ever had and I hate how stiff it is now)
7. AC1
6. Odyssey
5. Revelations
4. Origins
3. AC Brotherhood
2. Black Flag
1. AC2 (partial bias because it was my first. Objectively Brotherhood is better than it in every way and improved on the game in every aspect but, I still preferred 2)
@@oUND3AD thank you! And I respect that ranking, bias definitely came into play in some of my rankings I didn't mention it but Rogue was actually my first one I played it a lil then decided to start from number 1, so I'd suggest finishing it it's super short
My hot take top 5: 1Origins, 2 Oddysey, 3 AC3, 4 Unity, 5 Black flag( Don't hate me for it but I don't like the ezio trilogy and I say people these days are ruled by nostalgia)
@@TheSpiciestCelery that's controversial but fair I definitely feel like growing up with those games coming out is a big factor in people's rankings and I'm sure nostalgia impacted my choices subconsciously
Bro has terrible taste in movies too
@@letsgetitbackwho? Me?

Big Gap
11. AC Valhalla
12. AC Odyssey (yes, I have the cliche opinion. Its a great game. Its fun. Its funny. But its an AWFUL AC game)
Havent Played:
AC Mirage
thats pretty much my opinion on odyssey at the core of it as well
Odyssey is way better than Valhalla
You should be thrown to jail for ac unity
I feel targeted 🤓🤓
What is assassins creed?
Assassin's Creed is a historical action-adventure video game series and media franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives.
