This was good. I think the mtv vma’s in 92 is one of my favorite live versions of lithium. The Amsterdam show from Muddy Banks is prob the overall best version I’ve heard but this one was good.

Probably because it wasn't a particularly good show. Kurt was suffering heroin withdrawal symptoms at the time, which is why he was so mute and withdrawn during this show, when compared to others like Reading later that summer.
@@robotusch I feel like he was the same at reading. They even tuned the guitars down so he could sing easier at reading. I think he just put on the show a little better at reading but he still was the same to me.
This video deserves more views. I see the other video of this song uploaded here was removed for some reason. This version of this song has very similar vocal delivery of the 9/11/92 VMA's performance of the same song. Great show wish this one would be released officially on DVD.
@@outdoorsanimalsandmusic3014 Yes their touring schedule was crazy, especially after Nevermind. Unheard of for bands nowadays to play 25+ shows a month.
@@edmunddonnelly3881 even before Nevermind they were touring Europe like crazy as well as the US so he spent 6 years either on the road, in the studio or sitting in an apartment or house waiting for what comes next music wise
I have heard almost every live version of this song that's been released, and I'd have to say that this one is definitely my favorite one.

Perfection!!!!! R. I. P. Kurt
Love this version
The bass on this song is the best
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends
They're in my head
I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you
Broke our mirrors
Sunday morning is everyday, for all I care
And I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze
'Cause I've found God
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm so lonely, that's okay, I shaved my head
And I'm not sad
And just maybe I'm to blame for all I've heard
But I'm not sure
I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet you there
And I don't care
I'm so horny, that's okay
My will is good
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I killed you, I'm not gonna crack
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I killed you, I'm not gonna crack

@@outdoorsanimalsandmusic3014 Probally if you see early 1992 shows it has some songs in standard tuning but others half step down
Miss u Kurt..

I was just telling someone that the 92 vma’s might be the best version but the Amsterdam show from Muddy Banks takes the cake though.
I was there, just turned 18 shit i was drunk😂
♥️
OMG THIS IS THE BEST VERSION WHAT AN AMAZING VOICE YOU CAN REALLY SEE HE BEATLES IF YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LISTEN TO THE BEGINNING DAMN U KURT
Agreed. Love this version!

Grunge ;)
This was a top shelf live edition musically speaking. And I really love that bass sound. But Kurt really looked worn out ☹️
That’s what being on heroin will make you look like. Always tired and worn down and just down in general
