He was a very good drummer but I don't like how he drummed on mtv unplugged especially when they preformed porch he was beating the drums too hard for unplugged acoustic session.
Still one of the best conserts I have been to.

I guess Eddie got sick of the large crowds pretty fast, because when they played Pinkpop just a few weeks earlier, he seemed thrilled to be there.
Nice!!! Looks like a parking lot by the size of this lot. Still kind of cozy. Saw them in small seaters like old grocery store or on Westminster Blvd on the Curve in Montrose, Houston, Texas USA. About this size but indoors. Outside is nice.
Will be 58 this weekend and have been lamenting my youth. I was 27 when I first saw these guys in 91 or 92, after 10 was released. These guys are my age. Jeff Ament is 59, born 1963, Eddie Vedder December 1964. He was 27 here. These guys weren't super young when they hit it big. They appealed to such a wide group
State Of Love And Trust is my favorite PJ song. I bought the Singles Soundtrack CD when film came out and it's impossible to stand still. That's a boss jam!
Been 23-ish years since I've seen them here in Colorado at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre. It's maybe a little bit bigger than this. Nice show. From watching concerts in May before Jeff got "you know what" #19 and had to cancel tour dates. Surreal to see them at this age. Still awesome just quite a bit older, as are many of us. Eddie has slowed down and his voice seems winded, years of cigarettes and liquor. I don't know if he's still drinks a lot since he's had his children.
They've really stood the test of time as rock legends. Really such an honor to have been able to witness their awesomeness for so long. Really sad others died before then. Way before then.
I really don't know if I'll ever get to see them live again, I don't do crowds well anymore and at the age where you have to pee more often so I'll stick with my memories 😁.... might get lucky one day and catch a surprise show in a small area. We never know.

I’m 72 and I watch their RUclips videos nearly every night. I can’t handle the crowds either. My last concert was Fleetwood 4 years ago. That was absolutely fantastic!
I think it was Mike McCready. He was beaten by the security when trying to climb back up on the stage at one point.

From pearl jam fm: Noting the HUGE crowd, Ed jokes, “… I made a mistake … I thought ‘Roskilde’ meant ‘small club’ … I fucked up.” After a fan makes it to the stage, stage dives and begins getting beaten by security, band members and Eric (tour manager) jump into the audience to assist. Security doesn’t seem to recognize the band and they have difficulty returning to the stage, which is fairly far from the crowd. Ed is clearly pissed and says next time they will pass out photos to security. After the thievery of his journal the night before in Stockholm and this incident (combined with exhaustion from nearly ten months of solid touring), the balance of the tour is canceled.

When you see all the crowd surfing and people getting saved by guards, there was no wonder 9 people died 8 years later.
In 2000 it was pitch black and very late.
It looks over crowded there freakin scary, it's not 2000 concert but it's still looks scary you know what I mean?
We were 65000 plus 10-20.000 volunteers/technicians etc.

The rest of their European tour was cancelled after this show, but they did another US tour on Lollapalooza, a free show in Seattle, then wrapped Things up with a couple shows in Hawaii.

Yea.. I haven't seen it till it's end when i wrote the other comment. Not because i have any kind of experience with stages and audiences of this size, but i think it may be horrible to have only some kind of contact with only the half of the audience..

He never lost it. He wore it all through the rest of the year at pretty much every Lollapalooza show, the MTV VMAs etc, he stopped wearing it because designer brands were copying it and selling it for hundreds of dollars.
You can see a security guy pull the jacket from the hands of the crowd after they pull Eddie back out. Around 15:48
