None of the salt goes in the drink. got my daughter one for Christmas and it’s a really good machine when you follow the instructions ( put the container in the freezer before use) it’s worked every time now and not wasted any syrup at all. I was sceptical at first that it wouldn’t work but I’m actually impressed. Would recommend for sure.
Major Kirrahe you think it is a lot of mess.. ok... clearly you're not making one cup.. you're making a few litres... so invite a few friends around...
I got one of these recently followed the instructions and put the canister in the freezer I dont no what im doing wrong but after 30 mins it's still like liquid and ice cubes barely even crushed
I watched another video on here freeze canister over night turn it on half fill with ice cubes 2 lids of salt 40 mil of water fill the rest of canister with ice 2 lids of salt another 40 mil of water add your syrup into the jug and dilute with water how much it says on the instructions within about 15 mins it should be turning to slush hope this helps .
Right I've nailed it! Put about a 10th syrup in the outside of the container and fill the rest of the outside with cold water straight from the fridge. Full the middle bit loads of ice and then pour in tons of table salt and put it to work! In ten mins, it's perfect. Make sure you are careful not to get salt in the outside as that's where the slush will form.
The salt you don’t actually drink I have 3 of these machines the salt stops the ice from rapidly freezing the stuff you actually drink stays separate from the salt and ice xx
Lol... why do people assume the salt goes into the slush? It doesn't... the salt goes in with the ice.. to help it stay colder, it never goes in contact with the slush, unless you put the salt into the wrong hole.
@@yingyangdreaming7616 do you mind helping me out? i need measuresments of the ice and salt cap since i lost mine and im planning to 3d print a replacement.

Yea,doesnt work 😕 machine is expensive, syrup is expensive, easier and cheaper to get a slush puppie from a shop.4 hours mixing and I have no slush just melted ice cubes and a cylinder of water 😑 straight in the bin

so can someone please help me i bought one like this and i didnt freeze the middle compartment or put it on mix while adding the ingredients to the centre i have been whatching it for about an hour and it has done nothing please help as this was a main christmas present :)
freezing the middle helps to make the juice freeze on contact with it. The ice cubes and salt added are to make sure the drum keeps frozen - if you don't do this then it will never freeze as it will not get to a low enough temperature.
Amanda Craw I’ve just had the same issue. Whilst standing there thinking how to get a new one I looked at the vitamins. The cap from Tesco’s a-z multivitamins and minerals fits perfectly!!!
How long can you leave it running? Do I have to finish off the contents on the same day, then start over if I want to drink more next weekend? I'm assuming this isn't something you can keep running for days and days so that you don't have to drink loads of it in 1 day (I wouldn't be sharing it with anyone, I live on my own).
basically, the small booklet you get for it, say no more than 40 mins it can take up to 15-20 mins depend on your rooom temperature .. then leave for 15 mins to cool before using again., as for keeping it for the next day, No.. it has to be used right away, if you had a proper slush machine that costs 1000's you could... as when you're done for the day, you can turn it to a mode that allows you to do so anyway this slush maker can only hold like 2 small cups.. or just about 1 big cup of slush anyway.. if you're thinking about buying this, a word of wisdom... the booklet states for best results put the ice canister in the freezer for about an hour before use, and even put slush mixture in the fridge just before use for best results I've found this and many others to be the wrong move, as if you do it.. the ice canister will freeze to quickly and to thick.. and due to the blades being plastic.. it will seize up the machine....
Thanks for the info. Any suggestions which I should buy, bearing in mind I'm looking for results like Slush Puppie, or the Bunn Ice drinks they have at Wetzel's Pretzel. There are a couple of Margharita Girl ones in the $1000 price range but I wonder if they will come out similarly to slush puppie, or will they be more like smoothies which I don't want.
I mean, the machine does create slush, and does indeed work if you have the patience for it. but it's alot of effort for the amount you create. when i first got it, I broke the lid (My fault) due to not known how to open the lid, wasn't sure if it was a pull or push (the manual doesn't state it) ... I found out later the right way, but was to late, I contacted fizz creations, and they sent me a new lid.. no questions asked, all for free... The first replacement lid, got lost by royal mail, it was sent by 2nd class.... waited over a week, when it was meant to be only 2-3 day service. contacted them again.. and asked if they could send a new one out.. via royal mail 1st class, they agreed.. and that one did arrive.. few days later the one that got lost showed up.. now Have an extra spare. so fizz creation support is great, as for the machine it self... it takes alot of ice.. and salt, though the salt doesn't come in contact with the slush.. as it's a different compartment.. regardless it uses quite abit. and again depends on the temperature of the room... if you had a warm room it may take longer, or not work at all... forcing you to freeze the canister or at least put the slush mixture in the fridge for a very small amount of time... as for the slush "Syrup" I use the officially licensed slush puppy syrup just like the machine... it's simply 1 part syrup to 5 parts water, though they're different brands out there, but it will be a different ratio probably. ... nothing will beat the super expensive machines.. business use.. but in short it does work if you have time to spare.
After seeing the negative reviews on Amazon plus what you've said, I'm staying well clear of it even if it may be smart for me to try. I just shelled out $2700 on a Bunn Ultra 2. Someone said to me "buy once cry once." I hope this is the last time I cry and I have slush drinks for the next 8 years of my life without having to do any more research or workarounds.
Stop making videos for this... it does indeed make slushie.. however... it's cumbersome.. it jams alot, lid breaks or fly's off we follow your trouble shooting... nothing works, the design needs tweaking, and then it would be perfect, blades are not strong enough to get the thick ice from the canister .. hence the jams and issues, make the blade metal or stronger than plastic. then it would work like its intended.. i'd pay extra money for quality.
your not doing right, the lid pops off and machine jams because your probably putting uneven weight with the ice cubes inside or not enough water in the middle.. i had the ssme issue but once i addressed them issues above its been fine ever since.
I have one and it works perfect aslong as you have common sense..and the salt is just for the ice chamber that makes the liquid slushie...i think salt and ice together freeze faster

The salt helps the ice hold it temperature longer or something. It goes in the centre canister, the slushy is made with the outside of the canister so it doesn't go into the stuff you drink
Epsom salt is the correct salt to use as it helps retain the freezing temperature needed to turn the liquid in the slush. We tried normal sea salt yesterday and the ice melted. Tonight we tried Epsom salt and the ice didn’t melt however still failed to make slush. Third time lucky I suppose as I think we needed to have had the canister in motion as we add the ice and salt !!

Why soo much salt
Simon supersi yeah i wanted to know why the salt?
The salt helps the ice hold it temperature longer or something. It goes in the centre canister, the slushy is made with the outside of the canister so it doesn't go into the stuff you drink
@@nicolatilt2068 its to decrease the ices freezing point so the slush ie doesn't freeze completely. We use salt to melt ice on the roads as well
Epsom salt is the correct salt to use as it helps retain the freezing temperature needed to turn the liquid in the slush. We tried normal sea salt yesterday and the ice melted. Tonight we tried Epsom salt and the ice didn’t melt however still failed to make slush. Third time lucky I suppose as I think we needed to have had the canister in motion as we add the ice and salt !!
Got to be the most boring vid IV ever watched!! This put me off buying one.
I was number 666
How did I fuck this up
