Looks more like a icee to me the slush puppie ice is small but like ice more than a slush.

How much is a cup of salt

The slush puppie machine has an inlet cap which you can use to measure the salt (approx just 2 inlet caps of salt). The salt will not be consumed; It's just to stop the ice mix from rapidly freezing. Full instructions are included in the box. 😊
