    The real ICEEs seem like they have a different consistency

      Yeah because they use much more expensive machines!

      This is a home kitchen-sized Icee machine, so some textural differences are normal when compared to industrial machines. We have found that these small differences do not impact our love for Icees, though!

    That looks awesome. I wonder how people can make a coke icee? I guess freezing it does take time.

      Seems though the video shows that the guy did put a ton of salt in the machine to help it freeze. The icee machines at Burger King and a few gas stations I sometimes go to they must put a lot of salt (don’t know how much exactly) almost every time

    I never would have thought that salt was an ingredient in ice slushee

    • @prestigeprestiges8311

      Yeah that’s a lot of salt!

    • @Dezywezy
      @Dezywezy 3 года назад +19

      It’s not really an ingredient the salt and ice goes in a different compartment than the syrup. Salt makes ice colder and this will eventually make the syrup slushyfied

    Question why Salt 🧂?

    • @TheMoises1213
      @TheMoises1213 2 года назад

      They say it makes the ice colder….

    • @blake031299
      @blake031299 Год назад

      It drops the freezing point of water, allowing the ice to become colder than 32 which allows it to freeze the drink

    Salt?

      @ScientificsDirect  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! The salt is used to stop the ice and water mix from rapidly freezing so you're icee is a perfect consistency!

    jesus christo! your eating 4 caps of pure salt!????? WTF!?

    • @bonksoda3710
      @bonksoda3710 3 года назад +3

      no no no!
      there are 2 separate compartments
      one for the ice salt and water
      which is what freezes it
      then there is another area that you pour the drinkable stuff into
      you don't taste the salt at all

      You can actually play our video on a faster speed if you prefer! Go to the options at the bottom of the video, select the gear, and then "playback speed!"
