Thanks for the heads up on Milliput giving you a sample of the new putty. I received some as well yesterday and did some crack repairs today on a chunk of wood I was turning. Hope to finish the outside tomorrow then onto the inside and then find more cracks to fill as well. Should look good with this putty in the cracks.
I think my favourite moment of most of your videos is that first time you put isopropyl alcohol on the surface and the beauty of the wood suddenly leaps into view. The cherry in this piece gives a beautiful example.
I’ve been spoilt recently, having the pleasure of your company so often. The bowl is beautiful and you have inspired me to dig out my milliput. My Son took three of my inlay bowls back to France with him for his friends, one of whom carried the Olympic torch. Have a great week Mike and hopefully we’ll meet in November 🌞
Wow! The Cherry wood is so beautiful. And the shape of the bowl really shows off the unique growth rings. Thank you for giving the close up at the end. It revealed the shiny colors in the Metallic Milliput. Happy for you that you have found another addition to your artist pallet.
I especially love when you make bowls of interesting shapes like this one. And I’m so glad that you were able to get those two black bits out of the metallic epoxy putty with the sanding.
I so love the angles on the side of the bowl. Very unusual and so very beautiful! Cherry is such a lovely wood. Gorgeous grain. Congratulations on yet another successful turn.
It says a lot for life that you've posted on a Saturday, and I was sitting in my house on a Saturday night watching you 😂 I would never have thought of using milliput for inlay, but it is for filling in gaps 😊
Hello Mike. One of the first videos of yours that I watched included an inlay. And I thought it was beautiful. This one is absolutely gorgeous, with the markings on the cherry wood. Definitely one you should be very proud of. Have a great week.
Love the shape, and the wood grain. What a nice inlay! Also, I had no idea a chunk of wood could be unbalanced simply because of how it was growing and then cut -- very valuable learning experience. Thank you.😊
I really enjoy your adventurous videos. The piece of wood is really pretty. It has a lovely sheen. It's interesting to see the difference in weight. I wouldn't notice that on my own. I was really nervous when you cut in for the putty. I'm glad it went so smoothly. I think it's a beautiful bowl. Nice work, Mike!! 😊
That turned out really nice, love the inlay !!! And huzzah to Milliput, been using their stuff for decades now lol... Thanks for taking the time to share Mike !!!
When this popped up I was right in the middle of making a video about using Milliput to rescue naff wood. I love what you did and can't wait to try something with that new stuff. Their products RULE and your channel has me inspired. Thank you :-)
A beautiful piece Mike. The profile is striking and the cherry is gorgeous. The inlay adds an interesting contrast. Like seeing the new things you are trying, makes for an interesting journey in wood turning!
Hi Mike what a stunning effect of the Metallic and Black Miiiput. The shape and design go together to produce a marvellous bowl. Catch you on the next one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Okay, Mike! I couldn't take it anymore. You just made me buy Milliput's full-sized, al varieties kit. Go ahead. Tell 'em. Thanks alot, mister. Seriously. Thanks for the information. 👍
I love the bowl. Very well done. As you said, a very interesting grain line in the wood. I wish I knew how that occurred. I have not seen such a line in any of my wood pieces. Fascinating. The stills at the end do show the metallic epoxy well. Nice contrast of the black and the metallic. Dave.
Thanks Mike 👍. That’s another idea I’ll borrow from you when I get some free time. I’ve got a few of your videos to catch up with over the next few days, can’t wait. Cheers
Another wonderful piece. Enjoyed your new inlay today and look forward to a few more ‘plays’ with it. I loved what you were doing at the end with the rolls.
Great piece Mike! I really like the way the metallic milliput looks in the inlay. I'd also love to see you do an inlay inside of an inlay with the metallic and the black, like you mentioned.

@@GavinConwayWoodworkBBQ Indeed! Let me know how it goes 😀
Gotta say, your sanding montages are the only ones I actually enjoy watching.
Same.
Thanks! So glad I came up with the idea, never going back lol 😀
Couldn't agree more! The amount of time in editing that must take has to be ridiculous.
@@MikeHolton I have to agree, I love how it has its own beat! Awesome work.
I think my favourite moment of most of your videos is that first time you put isopropyl alcohol on the surface and the beauty of the wood suddenly leaps into view. The cherry in this piece gives a beautiful example.
Thanks Ben, it's my favourite part as well 😀
Yet another video when you never let us down with your great talk through of making the piece, and the beautiful results.

Thanks Dawn and me too 😀
The cherry grain is tremendous and so is the shape. Your creativity with what is basically a filler will hopefully inspire a wider range of colours. ❤
I hope so Jayne and thanks 😀
Awesome piece! Just the right amount of metallic, and you're right: the thin black sets it off beautifully. Well done! ☺️
Thanks so much Cynthia 😀

Thanks Dave, the only comment that seems to make sense is someone suggested that it could be a graft line. I guess it's possible.
Magnificent!

Anticipating metallic sparkle to your newest work of art.💚🤗
Thanks Alets, camera hides a lot, look for the closeup at the end 😀
The close up shows off the inlay better. I suspect that the camera still downplays the inlay's true shine.🤗💚@@MikeHolton
@@Aleta-uy8gt it does I'm afraid, I'll have to bring it round to everybody to have a close look lol
It look so soft, very beautiful
