Yes, just like cars and anything else that is financed.
Sheds are typically on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their rental payments we pick them up.
My wish is not for anyone to get anything repossessed but rather for everyone to make great decisions and prosper.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly, if you can't pay you can always voluntarily return it.

I was a little taken back by the fact that he did not neatly stack up the cement blocks and properly stack up the used doors and plywood, actually, LMAO. They were worried about him tearing up the yard! Just when you think you’ve seen it all in. The decent thing would have been to return the mattress, LMAO, LMAO.
I have a feeling if I looked up integrity in the dictionary I'd find Josh's name right there.

Unfortunate that the people who rent-to-buy these buildings and can't make payments, take it out on you by leaving junk in the building and packed up around/under the building that you have to remove. Very sad that they exist in our society. But they do. You are a saint.

I suspect money wasn’t the only issue. They moved in with someone, didn’t want the shed that they butchered and made reselling, impossible.
The cost to rebuild the shed, the loss of income to the retailer for all the payments missed while defaulters made excuses for months, and the cost of recovery will total thousands of dollars. Hopefully the shed retailer will sue and recover or at least start the process of debt recovery.
It’s the principle of the matter and accountability is required or the takers just keep taking.

I just can’t understand how someone can be so disrespectful for mother peoples property, they hire these sheds they don’t own them. How they have the cheek to take a couple of panels out of the side and then replace them with a bit of what we call chip board (wood chips compressed) is beyond me. I don’t know what you get paid for these jobs but it isn’t enough. You are the most tolerant hard working helpful individual and they just give you crap. Josh you are one top guy. We will never know the story after it’s returned to the sales lot and the seller sees the condition of this repo, ie voluntary return. Structural changes made by idiots will not help resell the shed. He will take a huge loss on this unit.
In a perfect world the contract violations would be mediated by the legal system on behalf of the plaintiffs- the seller. We all know it’s not that easy to hold certain types accountable.
@@mipilot30 they probably sell the shed for what they can get for it and then sue the person for the difference. Then write off the balance as a loss on their taxes....I doubt they truly lose anything based on the crazy amount they make on the rent to own interest rate.
I worked in the rental business for years. Many returned items were so damaged or filthy that we sent them to the trash, after I junked them in the computer.
If I'm not mistaken, Josh showed this shed on the lot later on in another video when he delivered another shed and said it had been cleaned up and was sold.
I was surprised that you didn't remove the mattress from the shed. The dump fee for mattresses isn't cheap.
I am amazed as to how much crap you have to remove from the shed and remove from under and around the shed to get the thing out. All because they don't care to remove it themselves. Josh, you are an incredible person.

It's not that they 'don't care to move it'; but they leave it there on purpose. It's as if the trash going to stop the repo. I guess they expect the repo guy to say, 'Oh, there's a plastic bin in the way, so I guess I'll just leave the whole thing here and not get paid today.' SMH

Yeah, it seems the repos take place on some pretty large amounts of acreage with lots of other buildings and a 'zillion' vehicles.

Probably not. Josh was raised Amish, doubt he ever saw a video game until he left the faith.
For 1 night in Georgia earlier this year in February we stayed at an airbnb on our way south for a one night rest. Turned out it was a shed converted into livable space. Didn't even have a proper door, just a wood door with a lock on the outside only. I accidentally turned the latch thinking it wouldn't lock, but it locked, and the key was inside with my Fiance. But there were such big gaps on the door that she was able to finger the key to me. It was a neat experience but the hot water only lasted for a few minutes and the mini-split heat wouldn't run for more than a few hours. Also remember the floor was ice cold since it was a shed originally. Very weird. A unique experience but definitely glad it was only for one night!

@@bettyhoo6604 I don't have a clue. Some rural places are relatively relaxed about that sort of thing unlike cities that have requirements. Basement apartments in Chicagoland USED to be a thing before they started cracking down on those. I've heard of a few stories from small time landlords who ran in to trouble.

I don't comment often, but wanted to say I think all of us watching are pulling for you on jobs like this -- so many times you find desperate or sad situations, but these folks appear numerous and physically able, yet left the shed and the area around it a wreck, then laughing about the wasps, riding an ATV around you, and talking about leaving their trash mattress in there -- you keep your cool, do your job, and always stay respectful.

I'm surprised that you don't lift the end up that you stuck the wheels under as high as that Mule will lift and dump all that crap out of the shed. You need a cup holder like the Tuffy 034-03 mounted to the Mule to hold a couple cans of Wasp and hornet spray. Some of cans of spray need to be shaken before you use them. I've noticed they have a little better knock down when shaken.
I'm always amazed at the capability of the mule. Another great repo.

They displayed thier full and true colors of selfishness, laziness, manipulation, horrible manners and were just plain old disgusting creatures. What a mess. They destroyed that little building with all the modifications they did to it. That is going to be a big fixer up project for someone. Glad you got out of there all in one piece! You have impeccable manners and people skills. Your nerves of steel got a work out today. What the cuss! It wasn't your fault they turned what was left of that shed back in without completing the purchase. They should have had that shed cleaned out with a clear path to move it out. They should require a pre-inspection of the property before the sale and deny the transaction if the place looks like a shithole.

Tech Tip: If it stinks totally paint the floor, walls and ceiling. Then inside smells like fresh paint. Put floor paint on very thick and simply roll it, let it fully dry, any color works. This is the same way you do a house it works and cheap!
