Let’s be real, comic book villains are rarely known for their incredible plans and wits.
Like when Magneto just gave up because someone fooled him with a fake wooden gun.
He was like “welp I guess my powers just randomly disappeared, take me away boys!”
For every Doctor Doom there’s ten goons like Sandman.
Dr. Octopus just wanted to be the one to defeat Spider-Man. Spider-Man would beat all the other villains and be too tired by the time he fought Octopus, letting him take the credit for killing Spider-Man even when five other villains could not. His real mistake was jumping in the tank to fight him insteaf of just putting a lid on it.

draw a card at random, also the card you happened to draw has a time at place that gives you a personal advantage
Best part is someone despite drawing randomly, the Sinister Dix each got locations that were best suited for their abilities

I like the alternative name the 90s cartoon had "The insidious six". That name always stuck with me. Fun fact: the animated series went with that name because sinister six was deemed to dark for children.

I love how the end result is the villains getting locked up in the local jail like “yeah it took a man with superhuman powers to bring them down but they should be fine in that cell over there.”
Yeah it always bugged me that sandman just sat in a normal jail cell
Fun fact : The Green Goblin has never been a Sinister Six member at any point in the main comic line. The explanation given later was that when Ock invited Goblin to join the team, he refused becaus ehe was convinced he could take Spider-Man on his own.
The one "exception" would be Norman created his own villain team : The Sinister Twelve. He basically assembled and payed 50 OOO/hour each eleven supervillain and ambushed Spider-Man with them. Funny enough, Octavius wasn't part of the team.

There’s an alternate universe where Spider-Man didn’t learn from uncle Ben and became a villain,which lead to a heroic sinister six,but labeled as villains thanks to the media because this spider man reports instead of it being on himself but other powered people
For the sinister six
Doc oc is a school professor who teaches mechanics and psychology that became crippled from this worlds Spider-Man when he fought fellow professor that became the lizard,and he was interrogated as doc oct help him make the formula but he wouldn’t crack so they started using torture,then they tried to hide it but doc leaked it so he became a target so he went on the run on crutches then he met this worlds mysterio which saved him,afterwards he put on the prototype tentacle arms he was developing,while he would be forever handicapped he still thinks there’s still hope for this Peter
This vulture is an air force veteran,he was survived a jet crash intended as air show performed by a prototype jet caused because of an accident that this spider man caused by rigging it as he was against the acts shield was doing in secret
This worlds electro is a volunteer for a hazard suit experiment where the suit was intended to turn hazards into a power source to convert more hazards and power power tools,but it all went wrong as instead of testing if the suit could protect at all but instead how till it couldn’t and when he was subjected to severe electricity,it went to overdrive and bled into his nerves where the his nerves started taking the suit as more nerves so it gave him complete control over it but it caused him excruciating pain and scarred him,when the test happened he responded by violently struggling and losing control where this spider man fought and defeated him
This mysterio is a physicist that used science to perform magic,where he became famous and basically became a charity founder and guru,then he was during a public appearance,dormammu launched an inter dimension invasion where they took people back to the dark dimension to convert them to corrupted soldiers,during this mysterio encountered a dormmamu avatar and basically gave him a Cthulhu treatment by breaking his mind and somewhat corrupting him but was interrupted by doctor strange,but mysterio started struggling and screaming against dormmamu’s influence and magic as he began violently blasting magic,to which he was violently subdued by this worlds avengers,who are mostly villains, and thrown into a shield cell for evaluation and experiments,where he was mocked and experimented on by this worlds Peter until dormmamu finished his corruption and he broke free,this one is the most villainous of the team,borderline anti hero
This worlds sandman is the second most different,sandman is for the most part very similar to the movie one,but instead of going to the weird science mumbo jumbo,fled to a Martin lee shelter(instead of being corrupt this Martin lee empowers sick people with the negative energy) where there he is taken under Lee’s arm and lee having connections to other people in this world sees potential in sandman and performs a ritual where sandman instead of just being sand,can compact it into rocks and dust,he then started using his powers with lee as an enforcer and bodyguard against the constant attacks since this lee opposes the kingpin,but his family were then attacked by kingpin so sandman retaliated by starting a John wick crusade against kingpin but kingpin worked with shield so they sent a team after sandman and threw him in with mysterio(the two became friends after this)
Now kraven,this worlds kraven is the most different,this kraven was like teddy roosevelt,he liked hunting but didn’t do it maliciously or was mad about it,he was an African guide and hunter but discovered he was a mutant when he was ambushed by a rogue military group on a safari and when they threatened to take the kids for their own “purposes” he lashed out and transformed into a werewolf(more like the wolf man),when he returned with the safari watchers where he was praised as a hero but the government labeled him an enemy of the state,but due to him being a mutant,they couldn’t bring him down so they said he was a super powered mass criminal and they got shield to send superheros to stop him,but it was leaked and the word got around and alerted Kraven so he could flee from the country

@@spacetacos7574 I’m not saying that, just don’t think he’d be doing anything evil. Most evil people do evil things out of a lack of parental figures or a dark origin story. If Peter never learned the Uncle Ben lesson then both of his parental figures would be alive and he’d just be a normal kid with powers. He’d probably use his powers for personal gain or he’d end up joining some super hero team

Personally, the Sinister Six is the best villain team up I feel. The name right off the bat tells you how many there are and what their intentions are. The team itself is made up of iconic Spider-Man villains, each who are memorable in their own way. I just wish the formation was consistent and that they got their own Comic series like Suicide Squad.
I never realized until now how many of Spidermans villains wear the color green. Like what's up with that? Lol

There were plans for The Sinister Six in a 4th Maguire Spider Man film, but sadly that never happened. There were plans for The Sinister Six in a 3rd Garfield Spider Man film, but sadly that never happened. And now there are plans for The Sinister Six in the upcoming 3rd Holland Spider Man film, so I hope the over decade long wait pays off.

I've always loved that Spiderman is such a beast that his Villains had to put together a team, just to(attempt to) take him down.
It does make SOME sense to have each fighting Spidey in a way that would give them each an advantage, however slight. If you have ALL of them coming after him at once, it's pretty likely that someone's going to get hit by friendly fire! I' can see, for example, The Vulture, being hit by The Green Goblin's Pumpkin Bombs, while Kraken might hit Doc Oct, with a drugged dart!
Its also cool that TAS had Kingpin as the villains’ version of Nick Fury.
This is one of my favorite super villain teams if not my absolute favorite. Thank you for doing this video Arris.

*My father actually has the original comic annual issue of the first appearance of the Sinister Six and it was given to him from my grandfather and when he showed it to me when I was 9 it was actually one of the first comics I have ever read and I loved it so much, and it was one of the reasons I like Spiderman today among comics in general (both Marvel and DC).*
I've been to jail several times and it makes me laugh so hard at the thought of Sinister 6 sharing the same cell. 🤣🤣

I'm here from Spider-Man NWH trailer
The Spidey 2016 comic kinda did this with the Sinister 6 overwhelming the teenage Peter Parker one by one. However, inspired by what Gwen said about him never giving up, Spider-Man defeats them all at once by mostly out maneuvering each member and using Doc Ock’s arms to knock them all out and using them to bind the Six up.
Establishing a hero team in one movie was maybe a rush on the justice leagues part, but introducing a villain or antivillain team as atagonists in an established hero's movies is a fantastic idea for introducing old villains to new viewers.
Also I thought the eels thing was cute, and Jamie foxx played it nicely for the campyness it was meant to be.
I remember reading this story thought it was my favorite classic Stan Lee Spider-Man story.
Also makes me think of the Spider-Man PS4 game, when the sinister six formed at the Raft and decimated Spider-Man. He would defeat them one/two at a time afterwards, but just highlights that they were more dangerous as a team.
I really hope we see a live action Sinister Six. MCU Spider Man needs a real challenge.

I always loved the Spectacular Spiderman line up with Doc Oc, Vulture, Rhino, Sandman, ( I loved Rhino and Sandmans friendship in this series) Electro and Shocker. It was nice when they added Kragen and Mysterio to fulfill the classic lineup

I actually have this Annual, it was always one of my favorites, but I never realized how dumb Octavius' plan is!
He has the other villains randomly draw cards, but then says he tailored each location to their specific abilities? What was the point of drawing cards, then?
The Sinister Six are really awesome, but I'm disappointed Spidey almost never takes them on all at once.

Doc’s plan completely backfired, instead working to their favor it ended up leading to their downfall. Also I love how they recreated his plan in Insomniac’s game, not exactly the same but similar in concept, each of them fighting him one at a time, instead of them all attacking him at once
The sinister six should have their very own television series
If they do use the Sinister Six, they should use this as a template for the movie, using this as a basis to have Spider-man fight and beat each of them,, a tribute to Stan Lee and Steve Ditto, I loved these two, especially when teamed together!
there were plots like the sinister 66 or whatever but every version of the sinister six that was actually six ppl was pretty close to the same lineup. only a few other non originals made the six member versions in any of the universes. namely green goblin, hobgoblin being often substituted in

In Spiderman Animated Series they were the Insidious Six and assembled by Wilson Fisk "The Kingpin". The members consisted of Rhino, Scorpion, Otto Octavius, Chameleon, Mysterio, and The Shocker.
My dream team for the MCU Sinister Six is:
Vulture
Scorpion
Mysterio
Electro
Kraven
Doctor Octopus
With some reserve members including Shocker, Chameleon, Sandman, Rhino, Tinkerer as the weapons manufacturer, and Green Goblin as their benefactor.

Suppose Doc Oct returns, and, fights, along with the rest of the Sinister Six, against Spider-man, armed with the upgrades Doc Oct used while HE was Spider-man! I remember Doc Oct being shocked when he realized that Spider-man could have torn his head off, all the times they had fought. All those times, he had been pulling his punches!
The Original Sinister Six should have been "The Green Meanies + Kraven" haha didn't even realize all his classic villains were Green
