I’m sorry but I have read some of Ms. Kendall’s papers and I disagree with her on several of her conclusions. I feel she looks at race and a minority groups social status and draws her conclusions based on two demential thinking. They are like this, so it must be a result of white privilege. She does not take to into account the individual, their personal emotional insecurities, their lack of ambition and drive in life which I am predicting she would respond that these personal traits are a result of (again) white privilege. People are people each with their own intellectual attributes and personal motivations. I come from a very poor background. The only food I got as a child was from school lunch and did not want to go home for fear of being beaten by my mother, but I knew I wanted to be better and I (excuse my expression) busted my ass and made something of myself and I did. People need to be judged as individuals. Many of the black community’s problems start with the family, lack of two parents, lack of love and support, life style She seems like a nice lady, but I feel she’s trapped a little bit in fantasy land sorry Responsibility starts with the individual, you can’t blame someone’s personal circumstances on another race merely for convenience.
