This oustanding lecture by Dr.Anderson reinforces another great African American woman, the late Dr. Frances Cress Welsing.The Cress Theory of Color and other brilliant writings lectures concerning white supremacy should be on the minds and in the discussion of anyone who is interested in understanding the system of white supremacy throughout the world and here in the united States. Dr. Welsing not only defines the system but details how and why the system exist.Thank-you Dr. Anderson for your book White Rage. I couldn't put it down. Your book too, is a must read.
I just found this woman and I have to say she is on point. Being raised on Military Bases overseas in Military schools, when I returned to the US, I went to one of those "all Black" schools, I found out that the Black schools were so far behind that I was not taught anything in my senior year that I had not already learned in the 7th grade. The books and materials were archaic. The teachers did the best that they could with what they were allowed to have. When y ou are a high school senior being taught what you learned in the 6th and 7th grade tells you that Black education was purposefully made inferior.

Not totally unbiased, I say this because of the mention of several times naming of races... There is bias between all individuals and to say the least, fighting a civil rights amendment requires someone to become a bigger person. I recently heard of a white woman in Texas complaining about books of racism at the bookstore of a toured plantation. She wrote into the board of the plantation and complained. So they took up to 12 books off the shelves. I look up the books and White Rage was one of those books along with Roots. Is it unreasonable to want quiet neighborhoods? You don't get that with black youth. Is it unreasonable to want crime free living? Sadly, you'd be hard pressed to find a black neighborhood with a low crime rate. It may be true that racism abound, but after while whites don't see it as racism, they see it as safe assumption. We need to do better.
I have a new hero today. I felt the words as she said them! It is white rage too. My father taught me to not be racist. I was shocked to find he has been raised in a racist environment. He said he did it so my generations children could live in a racist free world. It didn't work Daddy but I am proud of my lovely black granddaughter and great granddaughter. Found this lecture by chance. Very interesting and informative. Makes one understand how the American political establishment works. The hypocrisy is staggering. As a Social Worker in New Jersey I have seen too many incidents where a person gets a parking ticket which can lead to having their license suspended. Once the ticket is paid for and the restoration fee is paid, a 3 year surcharge is added. If you fail to pay your surcharge which can be in the thousands of dollars your license gets suspended again - now the vicious cycle begins. How are you supposed to get to work without a license or money to take public transportation? Until you live in our world shut the hell up. Things are stacked against black peoples. I have had to deal with numerous times in housing, insurance, employment, schooling, medical treatment ( and I have great insurance) etc. I suspect I am wasting my time writing to you….
I picked up a young man doing Uber in Memphis near a school a few years ago. As I drove him to his job I pointed to a prison and asked why there was a prison in a residential neighborhood. He said that that was a high school! I kid you not, it had what looked like the exact same shape as guard towers on the building and it looked like an actual prison! He said that the city or county had contracted a company that builds both prisons and schools and they use the same basic design. SICKENING!!! Subconscious programming that they are being prepared for prison instead of being prepared for collage Life…..so why do so many of our black folks vote DNC when they want to deny school vouchers for parents to take their tax school money to send their kids to the school do their choice? At 18 I got a scholarship to an Ivy League University. I lived in a"nice neighborhood" in that year with crazy white girl roommates from "good families,." They were so jealous of me with so much sexual jealousy that it was dangerous for me to live in that space. I left going to Rome in my sophomore year, for my year abroad. For the first time in my life I could breath. I could be myself everywhere. No one followed me around in stores or gave me bad vibes just for being me. My Bronx manner was not only appreciated but seen as charming. Women, men and even children were so welcoming to me that it caught me totally off guard. I wasn't expected to "behave respectability" which basically means mimicking Anglo American-ness to the best of one's ability. People in Italy were like my family, animated, loving, honest, loud, funny, smart and warm. The cold repressed environment of my New England college environment and the constructed oppression of the Bronx was gone from my memory once I felt Rome. I met my future husband the first day of school and I transferred to school in Rome, never returning to America again. 11 years later I'm married to my soul mate and we have 4 beautiful children. I would never bring my children to that awful cesspool of a country. They know nothing of it. I don't even like speaking English to them Black people in America perform for whites, so they can work with them , and live in "nice" sterile neighborhoods with them. Blacks are profiled by police whether they're in the hood or Beverly Hills. You wear a mask, asking whites to accept you, feeling as if your rich ancient African heritage is a stain. None of that sickness is apart of my life or my children's experience. We are proud Afro descendants who have all kinds of friends and family. Our heritage is respected and my kids love their blackness just as much as their Italian heritage. They don't have a sense of shame about being black like so many black Americans have been given. We live here in Rome as human beings, not performing like scared marionettes. Wearing that mask makes you sick, giving you high blood pressure and other stress related diseases. I speak Spanish, Italian and Bronx hood speak with my husband and all of me is loved and respected. I wear my hair natural like most all black women do over here. No one questions your hair choices or any of that silliness that occupies black American life. I am able to concentrate on being a human being and not some sort of example of black respectability as it compares to the dysfunction of whiteness.

Tessa Triumph , I believe that some of the stagnation of our society is due to people listening to false prophets that promise a smooth level four lane highway. Getting anywhere worth getting to, takes long hours of hard work and personal sacrifice. We should all have the true freedom to climb as high as we choose to, and the freedom to fail miserably, if that is our chosen path. We have kids that have college diplomas that are functionally illiterates. That is one of the cruelest things that can be done to any child. When a young girl has a child with no father to share the responsibility of caring for, and guiding that child on the right path, the government steps in to take part in the support, but not the guidance of the child, the government takes on the role of an enabler. We have to find a different solution to the collapse of the family unit that produces good kids.

I have found both he and Walter Williams to be intriguing to listen to. Dr. Sowell more or less believes that you should have your facts in order before you open your yap. If our young people of any color were exposed to minds like these, we might have a surplus of prison cells. If some of our highly compensated professional athletes would organize some type of athletic program for our youth through the law enforcement officers, some of the prejudices on both sides might be reduced.

I just found this woman and I have to say she is on point. Being raised on Military Bases overseas in Military schools, when I returned to the US, I went to one of those "all Black" schools, I found out that the Black schools were so far behind that I was not taught anything in my senior year that I had not already learned in the 7th grade. The books and materials were archaic. The teachers did the best that they could with what they were allowed to have. When y ou are a high school senior being taught what you learned in the 6th and 7th grade tells you that Black education was purposefully made inferior.

It is apparent that you are not educated. Let tell you one more fact about systemic racism. As a Social Worker in New Jersey I have seen too many incidents where a person gets a parking ticket which can lead to having their license suspended. Once the ticket is paid for and the restoration fee is paid, a 3 year surcharge is added. If you fail to pay your surcharge which can be in the thousands of dollars your license gets suspended again - now the vicious cycle begins. How are you supposed to get to work without a license or money to take public transportation?

I picked up a young man doing Uber in Memphis near a school a few years ago. As I drove him to his job I pointed to a prison and asked why there was a prison in a residential neighborhood. He said that that was a high school! I kid you not, it had what looked like the exact same shape as guard towers on the building and it looked like an actual prison! He said that the city or county had contracted a company that builds both prisons and schools and they use the same basic design. SICKENING!!! Subconscious programming that they are being prepared for prison instead of being prepared for collage Life…..so why do so many of our black folks vote DNC when they want to deny school vouchers for parents to take their tax school money to send their kids to the school do their choice? They want the kids to be trapped in failing schools to program them to be helpless, hopeless, and lost because such people are more likely to vote DNC. Hi Carol I'm a double minority black and Disabled. We disabled people are the largest minority group, and 80% of us have incomes that are 250% below the poverty line. And we disabled folks have 80% unemployment rate the highest of any group. Please mention we the disabled in your talks. Thank You.
When are these problems going to be a priority. I am 53 from a inner city originally so I know all to well she is talking the truth. This has been going on my whole life probably before that. Anybody have any ideas how to make the politicians to really listen. This lady should have had an appointment in a presidential cabinet. She is very smart and really understands what's going on.

@Theresa Romero. Everything she is saying is true. The problem is that the system is working exactly as it was intended to work. It is not about fixing it. It's about leaving. I live in Rome and have since college 11 years ago. I was born in the Bronx living there for 18 years. My brother was a straight "A" student and put in jail for nothing by racist white cops. As a black Latina and a mother of 4 beautiful children, l would never bring my beautiful babies back to that hell hole country. Many blacks are going back to Africa, including some celebrities. America is evil and this brilliant woman and even 100 million more like her, can not change what was built to be rotten 💯
@@gandolfthewhite America is a sick country that has turned black people into self hating, capitulators to whiteness. I am an Afro Latin American who grew up in the Bronx. At 18 I got a scholarship to an Ivy League University. I lived in a"nice neighborhood" in that year with crazy white girl roommates from "good families,." They were so jealous of me with so much sexual jealousy that it was dangerous for me to live in that space. I left going to Rome in my sophomore year, for my year abroad. For the first time in my life I could breath. I could be myself everywhere. No one followed me around in stores or gave me bad vibes just for being me. My Bronx manner was not only appreciated but seen as charming. Women, men and even children were so welcoming to me that it caught me totally off guard. I wasn't expected to "behave respectability" which basically means mimicking Anglo American-ness to the best of one's ability. People in Italy were like my family, animated, loving, honest, loud, funny, smart and warm. The cold repressed environment of my New England college environment and the constructed oppression of the Bronx was gone from my memory once I felt Rome. I met my future husband the first day of school and I transferred to school in Rome, never returning to America again. 11 years later I'm married to my soul mate and we have 4 beautiful children. I would never bring my children to that awful cesspool of a country. They know nothing of it. I don't even like speaking English to them Black people in America perform for whites, so they can work with them , and live in "nice" sterile neighborhoods with them. Blacks are profiled by police whether they're in the hood or Beverly Hills. You wear a mask, asking whites to accept you, feeling as if your rich ancient African heritage is a stain. None of that sickness is apart of my life or my children's experience. We are proud Afro descendants who have all kinds of friends and family. Our heritage is respected and my kids love their blackness just as much as their Italian heritage. They don't have a sense of shame about being black like so many black Americans have been given. We live here in Rome as human beings, not performing like scared marionettes. Wearing that mask makes you sick, giving you high blood pressure and other stress related diseases. I speak Spanish, Italian and Bronx hood speak with my husband and all of me is loved and respected. I wear my hair natural like most all black women do over here. No one questions your hair choices or any of that silliness that occupies black American life. I am able to concentrate on being a human being and not some sort of example of black respectability as it compares to the dysfunction of whiteness.
@@lf1496 sexual jealousy? Were you humping all their boyfriends? When my brother was going to Rutgers in 1971 the blacks kicked out all the whites from 2 dormitories and took them over. Rutgers had to lower their admission standards so blacks could be accepted into the college. If this country treats blacks so badly how did you get a scholarship to an Ivy League University? Most whites can't even get scholarships like that?

This is perhaps the best factual presentation on what you always felt was true. You know some of the dynamics involved in earlier Black history; however, to see it still playing out in modern day is sad for America. Let's continue to be excellent, in spite of the challenges. Thank you

We stand for righteousness. Being Spiritually Unique is what draws people to us. I love my earthly walk because you may walk by faith but, I walk with Blind Faith everyday. I believe that some of the stagnation of our society is due to people listening to false prophets that promise a smooth level four lane highway. Getting anywhere worth getting to, takes long hours of hard work and personal sacrifice. We should all have the true freedom to climb as high as we choose to, and the freedom to fail miserably, if that is our chosen path. We have kids that have college diplomas that are functionally illiterates. That is one of the cruelest things that can be done to any child. When a young girl has a child with no father to share the responsibility of caring for, and guiding that child on the right path, the government steps in to take part in the support, but not the guidance of the child, the government takes on the role of an enabler. We have to find a different solution to the collapse of the family unit that produces good kids.

A very interesting and informative man to listen to on the subject of economics and the black experience in America is Dr. Thomas Sowell. I have found both he and Walter Williams to be intriguing to listen to. Dr. Sowell more or less believes that you should have your facts in order before you open your yap. If our young people of any color were exposed to minds like these, we might have a surplus of prison cells.
If some of our highly compensated professional athletes would organize some type of athletic program for our youth through the law enforcement officers, some of the prejudices on both sides might be reduced.
