      It’s called Respect. You don’t have to be and educated or intelligent person to show respect. Once that’s established, proper communication and enlightenment can be obtained and at the very least heard. Then you could get some points across constructively. Now a days..ppl lack that..I think especially politicians. Politicians know that the person that comes out attacking verbally first seems to win the crowd over...above actually saying something intelligent. Bc (IMO) politicians believe their constituents are dumb and need to be told what they should be thinking. SMH 🤦🏻‍♂️

      Actually that quote was derived from Alexander Hamilton. You stand for nothing, you fall for everything. Just saying. It's a wonderful saying, still. It means so much today. I liked when Malcolm said, democrats are sheep in wolves clothing, at least you know Republicans, they come as wolves!

    • @petitor_veritatis1936
      @petitor_veritatis1936 2 года назад +40

      @@leithsapitan1428 It's actually been attributed to many sources throughout the years, including even Thomas Jefferson . I choose to attribute the quote to Malcolm X after gathering conflicting data, primarily because it's more befitting to someone with his kind of integrity and intellectual fortitude versus someone who purchased humans at auctions and actually "owned" them as slaves. You know what I mean? It just doesn't seem to derive from a "master" of a Plantation who had his way with black female slaves instead of simply rolling over and grabbing his own wife. Thank you for sharing with your disillusioned commentary, but I don't think I'll change the source in this instance. Who's your source? Google? 😂
      I also would like to say that I grew up in a house with historic ties to Malcolm X, was told as a child by my parents that this quote belongs to him and was commonly associated with him while he was alive. I am confident therefore that I have made the correct association, verbatim.

      Miroslav,
      This interview was recorded while Malcom El-Shabazz was still member of The Nation of Islam (NOI). When he broke away he was developing into a pretty good speaker. If he had survived longer I believe he would have become much better.
      Some things that he said that were not true were:
      The Supreme Court made a law:
      The Congress makes the law, not the Supreme Court. The Court rules on the constitutionality of a law.
      Counting slaves as 3/5s of a man:
      That was a comprise between the slave-holding states and the "so-called" free states. The slavers wanted to count 1slave as 1 person so they could get a majority of representatives in Congress. The states with fewer slaves wore them down to the 3/5s rule so the slave states wouldn't leave the union.

      @@МирославГлигорић Once every ten years a census of the total number of people who live in the US is used to determine the number of Congressmen from each state. The Slave owners did not want Black men voting but they did want them counted. Today Trump wants to reduce their numbers by not counting those who aren't citizens. Yet the Constitution as currently interpreted counts all people (young or old citizen or non citizen) not just those who are citizens. In fact caucasian non citizens and women voted in many states before the 20th Century. It wasn't till 1920 that the first presidential election was held without any legal voting by non citizens. Many government programs have money disbursed by number of residents not just citizens even if non citizens are not directly benefited.

Many of his Uncles were murdered by whites. His family was harassed by the police. His mother was deemed crazy. Malcolm was a great student. He was the top of his class. Malcolm X dropped out of school because he was told that a Black Man could never be a lawyer. Malcolm X's life was far more brutal than yours ever will be. Malcolm X moved to the city and engaged in criminality not because he was evil but as a means of survival. Malcolm wasn't a nefarious criminal. He didn't murder or rape. He was arrested for drugs and pimping. After being arrested he converted to the teachings of Elijah Muhhamad.
      In his Autobiography, Malcolm Shabazz denounces his past criminality. He was very smart in prison. He was always reading. The prison even let him check out additional books because of how much he read. He was one of the brightest in his prison.
