If you ever saw the movie “Ray”, which is Ray Charles’ biography, you already know this, but back when Ray was starting out (in Georgia) he played keyboard in some pretty questionable places, was doing heroin, and was considered to be a troublemaker by the State of Georgia. Years later, Ray got his act together, got off heroin, and in 1960 recorded Georgia on My Mind. Jamie Foxx is incredibly talented, so much charisma, acting chops, musical chops and on top of all of that a killer comedian.
Seeing Ray Charles be so warm towards Jamie, especially at the end of the video, brought some tears in my eyes.
I've watched this movie over and over. I will watch over and over again. Jammie was magnificent and brilliant. I hope Ray family was pleased with the movie..he sounded so much like Ray
Absolutely an OUTSTANDING performance that will never be repeated! That took a lot of hard work, dedication to a craft perfected by RC over decades. Jamie Fox (Eric Bishop) was perfect!

This movie came out while i was in middle school. It was a life changing movie for me. Woke up my love for music.
Jamie did one of the most unbelievably great performances I have ever seen. I thought I was watching the late great Ray Charles. Certain films give you chills. This was one of them.
Couldn't anyone else BUT Jamie play the incredible Ray Charles. I swear, every time I watch RAY, I actually believe he's Ray Charles!!! ❤

One of the beat films I’ve ever watched. I cannot recall ever having to remind myself that this is a movie. Spot on job by Foxx. This cut is awesome as well
