@@Sam-dd7tn Ali himself on many occasions commented on how his school ‘education’ went poorly, but by no means does that mean he was stupid, he was most definitely VERY intelligent, it was obvious in the way he spoke, behaved, and fought. But at the same time he himself admitted that when it came to even things like reading, he never had the patience for it, at least in his earlier days. Even his amazing rhymes used a limited vocabulary. Also I think most people who think he wasn’t smart think so because of his slang and the way he speaks, which when contrasted to most other professional entertainers sounds less sophisticated.

This was the first human being I absolutely loved! I was just a kid when I sat with my uncle to watch Ali vs Foreman. I was immediately struck by this human who exuded such charm, wit and enthusiasm. The total package. I named my first son after him to keep his memory alive.

Ali mentions 'O'Connor' , 'Grady' , 'Kennedy' all of which are altered into the english versions. The Gaelic/Irish, original spelling of those names are 'O'Grádaigh' , Ó Conchobhair and 'Ó Ceannéidigh'. Even this comment was removed by someone a week ago when i sent it first. I also mentioned about the British oppression against the Irish still happening as they still occupy the 6 counties and the anti Irish government currently ignoring/oppressing Irish culture while using working class Irish money to bring fake asylum seekers to Ireland and give them houses and other welfare over the indigenous Irish.

Ali's confidence comes from self-knowledge & self-belief. He gave up a slave name & embraced his African heritage by being re-named with an African name as a Muslim, not a Christian. Why did he do this? If you know who you are, then where can the shackles of #Racism wear on you? This is the best Ali interview I have ever seen. What other guest could relate so brilliantly with the Irish people of 1972. Whenever I need inspiration, this is who I take council from. And the interviewer was excellent, I’m sure he’s well known in Ireland but truly excellent interview.

I always knew Ali was great at trash talk but he’s even better at public speaking. He’s incredibly articulate and funny while also being serious.
He would have made a fantastic motivational speaker. No stuttering at all, and not reading from a script.
He was one of a kind, in a class of his own. Truly the greatest boxer of all time, witty, charming, and brilliant. RIP dear friend.
I wish my kids will get to see this when they grow up and learn from this man.
