My great Aunt is Billie Burke "The Good Witch". My sister looks exactly like her beautiful & sweet just like her. As a child she dressed up as The Good Witch & everyone said how much she was just like her. We told them it's bc she is related to her so.. I'm proud of Billie Burke she did an amazing job acting & looking stunning at 54 years of age while filming, I couldn't believe that when I read it. She will be forever remembered in the film. 👠👑🎩🕊🌹

My kids and grandkids love this movie also. As a matter of fact the first time my two granddaughters saw it they had to watch it several times on the weekends they came to visit. For atleast 6 months. Which was fine with me. I was tired of watching the Grinch movie. Don't get me wrong, good movie. But you can only watch the same movie so many times. 😂

Buddy Ebsen was the Tin Man who got sick from the silver makeup. And he played Uncle Jed Clampet on the Beverly Hillbillies. Side note; there used to be a miniature metal mechanical / early animatronic Mach-up of him dancing in the Walt Disney Story that was at WDW on Main Street. You would have enjoyed that. I think I read where that attraction had been moved to Tokyo Disneyland. Sorry I missed the watch party, Saturday. Thank you for the videos and Happy Halloween 🎃

Contrary to popular belief there wasnt a munchkin swinging as tinman & scarecrow & cowardly lion & dorothy go off a skipping down the yellow brick rd as you will probably know it was a couple of pink flamingoes loitering with intent... by the way great story about the signed autograph 👍

So wonderfully done. I lived in Southern California as a kid way before you were born, (and we met Lucy and Desi as well as Jay North who played Dennis the Menace at that time) and never got back there until a couple of years ago. I went to Westwood to see Marilyn and everyone else and made it to Hollywood Forever and saw Judy. I had an extremely abused childhood and young life and the old movies, especially the old black and whites, were my escape and those people became like God's to me. I was really touched by what you just said about this is what you and Jessica live for, because I am the same way, except I didn't follow my heart and move to Los Angeles years ago like I should have. After not having been there for so many years, when I went a couple of years ago I thought maybe I would be disappointed. Nope. On the contrary, it immediately felt like home to me ( there's no place like home...👠👠) and I get an energy and a spiritual feeling there that I get nowhere else. I've lived in South Florida now for over 30 years and while it's not terrible, I really wish I was in Los Angeles, with its problems and all. But I'm 66 now on a limited retirement and could never afford it. But it remains where my heart is and I was never happier than I was when I visited a couple of years ago. I'm happy you guys are able to live your dream.

My old elementary school Cerritos is located across the street from the entrance of Forest Lawn Glendale. While in Kindergarten 1964 our class walked across the street with our teacher to look at the pond, fountain, and birds there. Over the years, 1964-1970, while playing on the playground we would see very long funeral precessions driving by. Our teachers would tell us it was a famous actor or actress that passed away. This is one of the oldest cemeteries of the stars in Los Angeles county. Years later as an adult, I would go back and look and be in awe of the beautiful art located in and around there. As a teenager in the 70s, I went with my parents to a Little People's golf tournament hosted by Billy Barty and met many of the actors who played the Munchkins. Fun memories. My family played with one of the descendants of Terry AKA Toto. While in the back area of the Spokane Arena we had the Ice Capades of the Wizard of OZ in the late 1990s and the Shriners like myself would entertain the kids as they came in to be seated. Where I dressed to be in an animal costume, a little Carrien terrier comes running into our dressing room. We all said that sure looks like Toto. The owners come in and retrieve the dog. They told us he was a direct descendent of the dog who did play Toto. My kids were there at that time and got to pet him. A sweet dog who was looking for friendship and attention.

Jerry Maron was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! In his later life he used to do a lot of appearances and signings and you just couldn’t ask to meet a nicer human being than Jerry. I mean the man would basically do any request a fan of the movie asked. From singing to the camera, to posing with kids dressed as the lollipop guild trio and so on. Just an awesome guy all around. May he R.I.P

And yes I watch the biopic of judy Garland and she really went through alot from being called ugly and fat to proving her worth as a famous actress it was alot of pressure in those days it definitely isn't like it is now ...hope she truly R.I.P and her next life is calming and beautiful

I didn't make it through all of the comments, but Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett) was the second Tin Man. The make-up almost killed him. I believe he came back for a guard part later on in the movie. Love your channel. Great work as always!

when i also think of graveyard of The Wizard of Oz, it reminds me of the lost deleted scenes from the movie, the uncut test screening version of the movie, ran 20 minutes longer than the film we have today, sadly most of that footage is believed to have been destroyed long ago, so its very sad that there is a lot of the film we won't ever get to see.
The Scarecrow dance, or just the extended version of If I Only Had a Brain, is the only deleted scene to completely survive, remain fully intact.
The Triumphal Return to Emerald City is the one deleted scene i wish survived completely the most

The actor to first try the role as the the Tinman was Buddy Ebsen. He later starred as Jed Clampett in the CBS television sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies. You welcome Grimm.

I worked as a radio DJ in Liberal, Kansas which celebrates itself as the home of Dorothy (one of many places in Kansas that does) but every year for several years, the surviving Munchkins would come to the station and sit with me to interview during the annual "Ozfest". Jerry Maren was one of the most fun people to interview. Would smoke a big cigar and answer all my questions as if it was yesterday he was recalling. The last time I talked with him before he passed, I just for giggles asked him how scary flying monkeys really are.. Best answer ever.. "God Damn, they were terrifying.". Rest in Peace Jerry!
