I grew up in Salem seeing these locations are so nostalgic! You forgot the scene where the little kids were walking in the trance (by Sarah's singing spell) near the ocean. That scene was filmed right outside max's house. I grew up 2 streets down from that location lol
Lucky!
That’s so cool! Absolute dream as a kid living in England
Love how the house is so near to Pioneer Village where the "historical" witch scenes were filmed. The people who arrived there from the "Arbella" -- one of Winthrop's settler group of ships -- had been at sea 2 months and were exhausted and sick. But then went on to found so much of our area. I wonder what they'd think if they could see it now.
Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic are my two fav “witchy” movies. Would love to see a Practical Magic vlog 🧙 ❤️
have u seen or heard of the movies . witches and teen witch..are also classics
Mine too
I love Halloween somuch and hocus Pocus One of my fav of all Times when I Was a Young Boy
❤i Loev
This was a real treat. Hocus Pocus is one of those films you have to watch at least once a year.
This was by far the best Hocus Pocus video ever. I loved how you showed us the filming spot and also a clip from the movie from that location.
Yes! I called this trip my pilgrimage to the Holy Land when I went to Salem back in 2017. It is Mardi Gras for witches! It was so much fun. Thank you guys for the memories.
I admire your hard work and dedication to bring us these videos, thank you so much for all you do to show us all this cool stuff.
1993...what a great year to go back to! Great job guys!!
I’ve always been curious about the filming location(s) of Hocus Pocus. This town is the quintessential image that comes to mind when I think of fall. What a treat being in Salem for spooky season. Great video.
Well done guys going back watching some of the older videos! Such a feel good factor about all your stuff, thank you both all the world bringing happiness back into all our lives. We need it now more than ever 🤷♂️
🖤
I have to visit these places! Hocus Pocus is literally my favorite childhood movie. It was probably 1995 or 96 I saw it for the first time as I was only 4 when it came out. And now my dream has come true to get a part 2!
Fantastic Video, I was in holiday in New York a few summers back, made the trip up to Boston for a few days purely to visit the Salem locations, well worth it.
Awesome review. I always liked Max's room, where the stairs went up in to the attic/roof. Even though they never used it in the movie. Great review guys! Movie magic is SOMETHING else. It really is. Movies do really take you into a FICTIONAL world!
I’ve been binge watching your videos all day! I love all of them! You two are great. And I also wanted to add that I love how Michael calls Jessica baby ghoul all the time. 💜
Thackery Binx is my spirit animal 🐈⬛
I hope you are majority Native Indigenous First Peoples, because it's racist white supremacy and cultural appropriation to claim "spirit animal" as an imperialist, colonial white person on occupied stolen land. #EducateYourself #DoBetter #EndWhiteSupremacy
My Cat Name is Binx 🖤
Lol 😆 🤣 yess
Great job with taking your viewers down memory lane. Hocus Pocus is a long yet bewitching Halloween movie in the world.
I dont know who's singing but it's so relaxing. I love it
Sung by the Stairway Siren on RUclips...my favorite version of
"Come Little Children"
Thank you for this. Myself and my kids love this movie. Every Halloween it’s a tradition now I can show them the locations. Ty ty ty!
I can’t wait for the second hocus-pocus to come out. See you both this Sunday and thank you for the great video content
The second is never as good as the first, I'm sure it still be really good though
Me too!!
Same
@@skittlebug5515 Ummmm Ghoatbusters 2 I rest my case.
@@Gonk that don't count that whole series was good 😆
Classic movie. Has a special place in my life, as I would watch this movie with my ex girlfriend of 11 years and her 3 little girls, over and over again. Dannie also played in American Beauty and Allison had a small role in Eyes Wide Shut. Great job guys. Always enjoy your precisiveness.
I like how you guys put the music from the movie in you're video.
You both were in my territory of my life and where I live infact you love movies well, George Clooney portrayed my cousins husband Capt Billy Tyne in the movie The Perfect Storm. Gloucester Massachusetts is my home town and all cities Salem, Marblehead, so forth are and remain our back yards. Loved this video .🖤🖤🖤
My hometown too! I go there every weekend
Dude you 2 put together some amazing videos!! You present them beautifully!!!
I watched 1 of ur videos and now I’m hooked for life…. Thanks bro I love this channel
There was one scene in Hocus Pocus (1993) that used to scare me as a kid. It was when one of sisters was turned into a headstone.
Love Salem! I got to see all these locations 2 years ago as well. Thanks for the video :)!
LOVE these videos of locations NOW from back then, so good. You should try and get to a few prop collector's places, and look at the costumes and props.
Grimmlife are easily the best at what they do. We will make sure you guys do this forever
Another great video! I went to Salem mass 23 years ago for a weekend when I first started driving big rig. 2 weeks later I was in the French quarter new Orleans for another weekend. Had a blast!
I went to Salem in 1994 it was awesome then. But we stayed in the cemetery and the hotel mirror was. Cool
Another awesome video. Each video makes me want to visit that area more and more. Thank you so much for sharing and as always, Happy Halloween.
One of my favorite movies! Thanks for the great tour, excellent job as always!
I love your channel!!!! Keep up the great work!!! Love ya both!!
I love how much interest, seriousness, effort, precision and respect you put in all of your videos. And all those beautiful landscapes! Just about to discover the rest of your channel 🤩👍🏼
Oh myyyy . You really make me revisit my childhood with this! Wonderful shots 🖤
Everything looks so beautiful around Salem where you guys have made these videos at. While i watch these videos i look around at the landscape and the architecture of the buildings around you while you are walking around explaining things. I am so fascinated by it. I have visited Massachusetts once before but only by the ocean with a big beach and a lot of marsh land that extends into the landscape. I love that cemetery up on that rocky hill you showed. It definitely has an ancient spooky/halloween vibe to it. Why are all those boats out in the bay like that though?
Those are really hard to get moorings that people use small tenders to get to. It’s inconvenient, but instead of $150 a foot every summer for dock fees, it’s cheaper.
@@Grandizer8989
Ahh ok, thanks for the info.
So they basically have to take a boat to get to their boat?
@@TheBHAWK89 yes. If they belong to a yacht club, then they get a water taxi
I have an answer, I live one town away from Marblehead and there’s a big fish house in that bay. You take almost what looks like a kayak to your boat(if it’s anchored there) and you can ride to some neat islands nearby!
@@JackOlackk
Does it make it a little harder for people to dry dock their boat for the season?
My family is from Salem and when they were filming this movie our family called us up here in northern maine to tell us they saw Bette Midler walking around Salem she was was looking around in between shoots. They were in Salem shooting scenes all 3 actresses
One of my students waited.on them at their hotel this year, when they were filming #2. She said Bette was very nice to her
@@LindaC616 That must have been so Cool!!! When I was a Waitress, I served Steven Lang, James Franco, Some NFL and NBA players. My friend served Beyoncé and Jay z
I really enjoyed this. I was obsessed with Hocus Pocus when I was a child. Thank you guys
I really enjoyed your Hocus Pocus location tour! These locations are an absolute transcendence of time, they are stunning, all and so haunting, I love it! You and yours do an outstanding job of condensing all of the best loved scene spots into a very entertaining and enlightening episode; you should have a annual, hour long TV special where you do this for other Halloween classics! It would be such fun! Thank you for creating this!
Loved this! I can’t wait for HP2 .. Salem is everything I imagined.
Loved seeing this!!!! As hocus pocus is my favorite Halloween movie ❤️
A great video 😀 love watching you guys and seeing all the locations
When yall did the " it's not Jessica, it's baby ghoul". I died laughing!! Yall are the best🎃🎃🎃

Just came across this channel and can't stop watching your videos. All the way from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Stuck down a rabbit hole watching filming locations when I should be working 🤣
I'm living vicariously through your videos 🖤
Another very interesting video just like the others , keep up the great work 👍🇬🇧
Thanks for this. I have not seen this movie in such a long time. I must go and watch this movie again. Take care guys.
Hocus Pocus is such a perfect Halloween movie.
I just love stuff like this and Visiting Salem is one of my biggest dreams… ❤️ from the uk.
Ever notice how insanely DARK the lyrics to "Come Little Children" really are?
It's very dark, and and creepy!
Sooo one day I was bored and listening to Pandora and a Buddy Holly song came on. I decided to Google "the day the music died" just to read up on that fateful day. I knew some things, but I wanted to know more. My curiosity then led me to RUclips.
The first video to pop up was the one you and Jessica did about everything leading up to the plane crash. It was so informative and interesting, I was hooked. I was absolutely ELATED when I found out you had more videos about historical and interesting places. I thought to myself, there is absolutely no way any other video could top the Buddy Holly episode. I was so wrong.
Every single video you both do, I can feel the passion, interest, and time you put into each video. They just keep getting better and better. I appreciate all the hard work that is put into these videos. So, thank you!!!!
Also, Hocus Pocus is my favorite movie so you can only imagine how excited I was to watch this!
hocus pocus used to be one of my favs as a kid, cool tour
We have done this Tour (Which we Figured out ourselves) coming over from England Many Many times and we are going to do it again this October..I just cannot get enough of this..Salem will always be my most Fav Town out of the Whole of America and Hocus Pocus has a Historical Magic all of its own..You Guys have done a SERIOUSLY Fantastic Job, this year we went to Florida and did the Day of the Dead Locations..We have also done the Stephen King House.....You Guys were in England doing our Jack the Ripper Tour thats Awesome as well..I CANT GET ENOUGH OF GRIM LIFE COLLECTIVE..EVERYONE SHOULD BE SUBSCRIBED TO THIS CHANNEL....LOVE YOU GUYS...
Hello from (Ingram) Pittsburgh, PA! Fantastic video Michael! My favorite videos are with you and Jessica AKA "Baby Ghoul" taking these historic walks.
Max's house is actual my Aunts house, lots of fond memories for me, the widows watch at the top of the house is actually a lot smaller than depicted in the movie, I use to play board games up there with my cousin, in the movie you see a painting of the house, they actually gifted that painting to my Aunt and Uncle at the end of filming.,
Thanks for the great work on this and all your other productions but especially this one
Very cool vlog! Loved this tour showing the old homes. Michael reminds me of a younger version of actor/comedian Jim Carrey 😁. Well done!
I love this movie, great nostalgia for my childhood, greetings from Brazil
How cool was that school! Watching it as a kid I always wanted to go to that exact school for some reason. You guys are doing awesome work always!
When the wind blow the reeds around and you listen to the music in the background (from 2:31 onward) it feels so enchanting.
This dude deserves more views for finding this movie locations 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💙💙💙💜💜💜💯💯💯
Great job on the filming locations! I watch Hocus Pocus every year. Jessica did a great job re-enacting the scenes! I'm looking forward to seeing the sequel and what the storyline is.
Gorgeous pic of Jessica on front steps of Allison's house, with the flowers n the pumpkins!!!! Great posing guys!!!!

Now I’m about to turn 21 and I still adore this movie!! I hope that I’ll be able to see the filming locations myself some time in the future.. because I’m from Germany and right now everything seems so far away but maybe one day :(

I lived in Salem ma in the 90s my boys used to swim at Pioneer Village they have a small beach straight ahead. I have so many memories in that city go to Salem Willows if you get a chance.
Love and peace always.
Can't wait to see what you guys do with the new Hocus Pocus!!!
Thank you💖💖. Baby ghoul is adorable, you two are the greatest!Happy Halloween 🎃👻
In Salem as we speak and walking the same streets as Grimm and Baby Ghoul, as well as the cast and crew of Hocus Pocus before them.
As you guys were in the cemetery, I had an idea of a fan meet & greet but make it a group tour of old cemeteries & voodoo shops in New Orleans. My husband & I want to visit & tour New Orleans but how much fun would it be for a group of us to meet there & do everything as a group. It’s just an idea.
I was 8 when Hocus Pocus came out in '93. One of my favorite movies growing up.
OMG this is the best Hocus pocus filming location you've done. I totally love it. It is on my bucket list to go to Salem Massachusetts one day. I would love to see all that plus the Salem witch trial. You guys are awesome
That dress is superbly fabulous, Jessica!!!!! Love you guys ever so!!!
Now that was fun. Love Hocus Pocus. 🎃❤️
Loved this video, thank you both ❤
come to scituate and see the ellis estate where two horror movies were filmed. then go to neighboring cohasset and see where they filmed the witches of eastwick
Next time your in Mass you should visit the Mt Auburn Cemetery in Watertown. It’s a beautiful cemetery with a lot of gothic headstones and is home to Boston’s elite and celebrities from the 19th/20th Century. And not too far away you can still see the bullet holes from the Marathon bomber shoot out.
I’m new subscriber!! I been watching like 4 video already so good.. I love your video! 🎃👻💀 Amazing!!! 🥰
What a great video! New subscriber now
Brilliant I'm doing a lot of catching up you guys are awesome ❤
Another excellent video. You are very good at this. Thank you for that
Was that Lauren Paley's version of "Come Little children" in the begnning?! LOVE IT! Gives this vid just the right energy! COOL COOL
You always show us beautiful videos jesica looks so cute always in black
My daughter & I went on a ghost tour and we stopped at The Ropes Mansion (Allison's house) and there is a ghost story related to the house. Each bedroom has a fireplace and a little girl burned to death in one of the rooms after her dress caught fire and she is said to haunt the house. Also, is that Jessica singing?? Love it! The town hall is also on the ghost tour and said to be haunted by a man.
This was very cool to see, thanks for sharing!
Yes!!!! just what I needed today! Thank you so much!
My cousin lives in Boston Massachusetts and she lives 40 minutes from Salem Massachusetts she has visited the hocus pocus last year loved it
Don't worry, sir. You'll be right near Salem. They know how to take care of her kind there.
