Just FYI you got a runt version of this weapon. You got the "Aeterna". What you're actually looking for is the "Aeterna+". There is quite a difference. The Aeterna+ comes with factors activated, and they are random. So you can get it with a "chance of paralysis" factor, a crit chance factor, etc. So not only do you wan to roll until you get the Aeterna+, you also want to roll (if you don't mind going all the way), until it comes with a good factor. I think the most preferred is "20% attack boost", but if you roll crit chance I say gladly take that one as well.
You can get it with hp drain plus 20 percent and equip the bloody armor to be invincible
cluades "ultimate" weapon is the demon sword laventine can you get it "early" before the 12 floor of the postgame dungeon?
About that its better to use the MARVEL sword for that due to it already having a 100% hit rate as in Bloody armors are useless if you can't HIT anything with it and with the Aeterna EVEN Etheral Queen at lv 255 on Earth mode even WITH a Bloody armor tends to block Claude/Dias's Physical hits 100% of the time.
Hence that the MARVEL Sword MUST have the HP drain effect but theirs no way to MAKE the Marvel Sword itself so you would need to Rework the Marvel Sword to have the HP drain effect.
Not Exactly the ONLY way to get that Demon Sword early is via the Santa Boots but since those are first stolen AFTER the Cave of Trials unlocks its kind of pointless to Steal the Santa Boots.

Good ol Eternal Sphere. Breaking the game has never felt better! I gotta say though, the new developers have definitely made this game easy to level in.... I'm level 70 and I'm just going into Krosse Cave now.... lol

Max out skills in this order: Determination, Danger Radar to get the Scouting skill and Bodyguard skill. Do this for every person in the party. Then get the Enlightenment super specialty online via effort, determination and whatever else to get survival and train. Turn Train and Enlightenment on for everybody. Then get the Sword of Marvels found in a goodie box (reload game repeatedly until you get the sword from opening the box), get a goodie box via level 4 Art skill, make strange item from Magic Clay, get magic clay from a vendor in Krosse. Have fun!@@kosciarz
lvl 70 in krosse cave is insane.... that takes a while even in this game. guess you went to lagos mountain? or salva dragon mines? otherwise hours of grinding.

Used this sword through everything in the game even the post game dungeon. Adding the MP drain factor to it plus the bloody helm basically breaks the entire game.
Getting level 10 custumization nets you 5 mythril as well for the achievement
I got customization to lvl 10 for the 100% success rate then kept doing it until I got the 1 with 20% attack boost
Some notes: you want the + version when customizing for factor effects. 2 most powerful ones so far I've gotten is a 20% hp drain that works with the sparks and instant death that grants a chance per hit to instant ko your target and the sparks count as per hit so 🤔👀 you can do this as early as level 30-35 assuming you spent your points wisely, diversifying the SP spent on characters like ESP, and save scum the hell out if the game 😅

@@agidnis1234 Save scumming is when you save before making a choice that can't be undone and reloading if you don't get a favorable outcome, like Fuzz did while crafting
when can you start factoring your weapon? where can you buy the mat to factor it?
You can also get mithril, 5 of them, by levelling up Customization to level 10.
If you're don't have enough SP for Claude to reach Level 9 Customize or if you just want to reach Level 10, just throw a Rainbow Diamond on him. When equipped, the Rainbow Diamond levels up the all the Specialties of the equipped character by 1.
I'm also pretty sure Claude only needs Level 8 to make this sword too
Not true, he was level 4 for me. No bonuses or anything. It took a little while at 1 percent, but i was able to get aeterna after 20mins
Definitely seen people get it with level 4-6. I was at Customization Level 8 myself, though. Had a 30% chance for it as opposed to 1%, so it made rerolling for it a lot more painless, lol

i found out that the sword of marvels is another op sword can still go back and try to get it im currently in Lacuer before the tournamnet
Bodyguard is absolutely busted since you can max Train to 100% and Enlightenment and just run in circles on the beach with Scout(?) turned on to find extra monsters. I was level 60's before the tournament in under 12 hours. If they aren't green, just set up a 5-link on the beach and pop an EXP card from easy challenge, you get insane exp. Once you have 3 people level 10 bodyguard you get a 15% bodyguard activation accessory from challenges that breaks the game even further. I'm level 104 just from walking through dungeons and just got my "mount", all the fights get skipped saving loads of battle transition time and most of my skills are maxed since you get cp/bp from these kills.
Yep, Bodyguard is a gamechanger for farming.
There's 1 small problem with this but it's not related to trophies so it probably doesn't matter but I believe that if you use bodyguard the enemies won't get registered in your enemy database collection? Correct me if I'm wrong on that but I'm fairly sure. I only bring it up because of the challenge to get 80% enemy encyclopedia as a challenge that gives you Opera's AAM Clip.
@@Asch519 You'll run into them with Scouting turned on every once in a while, so you'll end up fighting the stuff manually, but I was able to beat the game and the maze and have all 7 people level 255 with everything maxed in right around 30 hours using Bodyguard!

It is the items in drops in this version are pure crap.
Yes you can still get the mischief, it's now called Sprite's Bracelet. It's not as good as it used to be but it can still drop Counterfiet Medals which is what you really want from them and really you only need to get 1 and save it until you can replicate it in item creation. Otherwise it's not really worth using. P.S That said you can still equip it to a party member on the bench and the effects will still work.

You have to go out of your way to not grab a full party.
this version had no special effect tho! dont take that one.
you can get +10% or even +20% atk special effect. and get custom to lvl 10 so you have 100% craft chance.
there is also supposed to be a MP or HP leach effect but i never got it.... fight or flight effect pushes atk,def and int up to 30% when you HP get low.
You also need to talk about the downside of this weapon.
The Sparks only work on a few skills, and will leave you with just auto attack.
Mirror slide is his best attack skill, and that weapon doesnt work with it so it makes that skill useless if you use that weapon.
So when you use that weapon double check if the skill with work it or not
Mirror slide with the 3k atk weapon its just too overpowered. Im hitting 99999 with it
@@ivancouto1028 the only downside to mirror slide was the MP cost but if you throw MP steal on the weapon you can spam mirror slide without worry.
why do you wanna use mirror slice when your normal attack hit for 15x?

it's actually around the same damage. But in the ps1 days, it was better to use the Aeterna because it would save you so much MP from not using Mirror slide.
But with the remake, you can remove that limit with putting MP steal on a weapon.
The negative with aeterna is that you have to get the quick attack skill max, and you have to keep hitting the attack button over and over to match mirror slide.
If you don't mind hitting the attack button over and over then Aeterna would be good for you.

You say come second? Is that automatic by “winning”?
Yes, the story prevents you from actually winning, so coming second is the best you can do.
If you do grind and get Claude up to Customization level 10, you are rewarded with 5 Mithril as a Challenge Reward
can you make it into a plus weapon after you make it ?
yes, but as far as ive seen not until you warp with the wiseman to the second planet

I remember the Eternal Sphere ( Aeterna) not being that great in the original, because it attacked with many elements and enemies could absorb them.
About that while it isn't Light/Dark element IN 2nd Evolution the Star Spray it gives out in that one the 13th Cave of Trials boss is still IMMUNE TO that.
They un-nerfed it, cuz it was extremely nerfed in the remaster version due to how clunky the mutli-attack system made it. Although I don't know if un-unerfing the Eternal Sphere is good thing or bad thing, but if you don't want easy mode, you don't have to use it.
Thats not claude's ultimate weapon but its the 2nd/3rd best one. Theres ones with 3k atk now but i wont tell where to find them :)

The other two weapons are found in the cave of trials. Which is end game. It's debate between the 3 which is the strongest.

its the second best and not the ultimate weapon Levantine remains the best .

Theres a new weapon called Planeteer which causes Godspeed/Breaker to triger 2x as much, when paired with the factor that increases damage after godspeed by 50% -100% it's just busted damage, you get 50k+ attacks with auto attacks, when paired with winged bracelet and might ring you just destroy everything in seconds.. I kill uber Gabirel in under 10 seconds with this set up.
Best craftable weapon.

How to get +?
@@FFFanatic319 it's a % chance I don't know, (google isn't very helpful with this game for whatever reason) but I know now that a '+' is just an added factor on the weapon; it's not really important after all 😅
@@Sir_BadAss Not important for the early and easier difficulty, but can be game changing later on and against the post game. Things like HP steal just makes you quite the immortal
Ah thats lame! The weapon doesn't change it's look?? So you're stuck looking at the same weapon the whole game?
Boring game so mean you to need be op in the few mins only. So this is not enjoyable game. Just go op and finish the game a few hours. Better they dont make this game op from the start but from the last part or end game.

You are absolutely wrong. To do these types of things, in this game, you need to know the mechanics. Many people didn't even know that it was possible to get this sword.
If you play this game in universe mode, even if you make this sword and don't know how to play, you will get beaten up a lot in the game.
On Universe mode its CRAP without the 100% hit rate and you still NEED the Marvel Sword equipped on Claude/Dias for the ENTIRE game.
Even at lv 255 EVERYTHING on Universe can still do 9999 per hit so 4x blood armor users Claude Dias Opera Bowman first half of the game ALL at lv 100 is a must else I won't even last for 10 seconds.
It's easy to break the game or cheese any difficulty for regular players/veterans in all star ocean games using IC(Item Creation) if you know what you're doing. First time players of the franchise and casuals won't even know such things are possible, or even exists, until they thoroughly play around with IC menu.
