Yes, you read that right. I have just been testing the Bodyguard skill and oh, do I wish I tried this earlier! Bodyguard is a brand new ability for this version of the game and when you turn it on its basically free leveling and Fol.

I forgot, Also How to make use the equipment and mining accessories and what not.
Ring of avoidance can be crafted fairly easily and increased trigger chance of bodyguard by 30%. Equip it on multiple characters. You can get proc rate to 100%. There are also formations that increase xp. Free fight is 50% bonus xp which does work for bodyguard kills. There is another formation you can get from the arena later which will increase xp by 125% at 300 spheres. Also maxing out training gets you another 100% bonus xp.
How do you make the ring?

Which at this point can't really be done those are only first available AFTER you start the 2nd half of the game.
@@veghesther3204 I got a couple from challenges. Probably blacksmithing lvl 10 or something. Not hard to get.
By the time I had Blacksmith at lv 10 I can already Bloody armor Claude/Opera/Bowman BUT Normally you can get those until you start the 2nd half of the game in order for lv 10 Alchemy to make them you need the Lezard Flask BUYABLE In Central City itself on Nede.
I'm really loving how this game gives you the option to play it straight or just make everything hilariously broken and OP. I already knew some of this was possible from the original release but it seems like they've added some new options to spice things up. Really enjoying this remake even more than I thought I would.
It's seriously great time saving stuff, I mean max level is 255! Who has time to grind for that? Not me!
@@SliderFury1 oh for sure, this ability seems like a great addition especially for the optional content.
I was too stupid to break things back when I was like 12 in 1999 and I never had a PSP to play that release so being able to just break everything so easily has been deeply amusing. was always scared to do a Rena playthrough because she's the healer and I struggled with bosses while playing Claude, but NOW I have some new confidence, time to see the OTHER half of the story.
@@ConvictedHeart oh for sure, my original playthrough in the late 90s was the "hard" way so I'm really enjoying completely breaking the game now and also being able to speed through to see more endings and optional stuff.

You are the king of Star Ocean and YT and Amazon, thanks Simon! Last SO game I played was Integrity and Faithlessness and I can't remember a more pointless, hollow RPG. Felt like playing an MMO in a world that had no active users left. I love Star Ocean though, might check this one out.
There's accessories that make bodyguard proc more often, 30% is the highest I've seen.
and they do stack as in 1 on the entire party is just as useful as only giving it to a single party member the ones that aren't fighting the battles it still works the no back attacks accessories also triggers when using a non battle party member WITH it equipped.

Using the music Goddess's arrival greatly increase the % rate of bodyguard procing, basically dont need to move anymore for your allies to chase every monsters around you until the music ends.
dude this game has so many good secrets and ways to play.. I love breaking the game.
Bodyguard+Enlightenment = Infinite SP/BP even near Arlia. It was so good.
the only Problem about that is that the EXP/SP/BP you get MORE of it via fighting the STRONGEST enemies in game and once you start Eluria Tower your STUCK their.
@@veghesther3204 Naw, you got infinite Early SP/BP for cheese IC. No need for doing battle when you could just Grind in Post Game by having Bloody Armor or Helmet. L80+ Bloody Armor/Helmet with Weapon Factors AND infinite FOL that the game through at you, no need to grind battles. IC in this version of the game are broken like SO3 IC. Lv doesn't matter much.
I remember doing all this and more with Gameshark !!

This game just gives you so many ways to be completely busted, especially so early in the game.
I constantly feel like I"m being pushed into things that straight up break the game, even when I'm trying to avoid that.

Was this intimidation pendant patched? Cuz I got the skill at lvl10 and did not receive the item.
Just stay at the entrance and if some monster is about to hit you leave and re enter
Is there something you've done to get the green enemies to target you? Or did I do/not do something that causes them to ignore me? It's been that way for me the entire game.
Try checking your scouting ability. If it is set you avoid, or do nothing, it won't aggro enemies

It's not OP, it solves the biggest annoyance in a JRPG. It also takes some decent skill to dodge all the clouds, honestly more attention than I have to pay during battles.
It is OP when done right. Craft 6 ring of avoidance using a magician character and philosophers stone. Equip you three other in-party members with two rings each to proc bodyguard 100%. Sit your character in a corner and watch as your other characters kill enemies for you while afk. Use scouting to increase enemy spawn rate and profit.

The downside, if I am remembering correctly, is that you earn ZERO SP and BP (you still get EXP and FOL though.
No, you get 1sp 1bp for normal orbs and 2sp 2bp for boss orbs.

They rly need to add more difficulty levels,
Dupe counterfeit medals with replication. Takes about five minutes to have everyone hit level 100 if you combine that with bodyguard.
I did that for a LV 100 Claude Opera Bowman Dias party and still NEVER will EVER have Ashton Precis Leon Welch join at this point.
I don't get it. You level up way faster by engaging in 5/5 battles? Hardly "broken". It's an easy game if you play it at that setting. The game even have a IC speciality named "contraband" that states to rake the balance of the game. Your choice!

I held my accusation for the first few times as sheer coincidence, but this is the 6th video that has come out just a few hours after people on the discord posted it. But Celine Ashton Precis Noel Leon Welch are still PURE CRAP and will still NEVER be in my party and still BLOODY armor Claude Opera Chisato Dias/Bowman for when you DO still trigger Live Flayer battles In the Cave of Trials for hitting 255 in the same way.
At this point I'll still have Claude OPERA BOWMAN DIAS lv 100 BEFORE entering Eluria Tower itself.

@@Darkheart68for me ashton didn't feel that good compared to precis,días and Claude. His tech have a shit ton of ending lag
Ashton is CRAP because Opera MUST be 1 of your 4 Bloody armor users Precis is only crap because she can't EVEN equip it so odds are EVERY ONE of Iselia Queens physical hits on Earth mode at lv 255 will still do 9999 PER hit to Precis that's why she's crap OVER using Bowman.
