This is really powerful stuff! Thank you so much Salimah. During the third meditation quite frequently my head will start to bob and the left side of face twitches. Could this be from releasing pent-up emotion?
For those having problems with wrist circles or other parts of the movements, consider this is a Kriya to Adjust your Brain, and the state of your body is a reflection of where you are at in the state of your brain. Do the best you can, and as your brain improves from the exercise, so will your movements.
From my wheelchair, I have been doing this kriya for sometime. Definitely, helped w/PTSD. I've stayed with practice because of the aerobic exercise plus toning my upper arm. TKU for offering specific movements in your kind manner. It is almost like we are sitting together. peace
Day 2 for me. I am smiling at myself for being able to hold my arms up this time for entire duration. When I re-goldened my heart, and re-steeled my spine, and focused between my eyebrows, I sensed something beautiful happening. I was going within. I was steadily maintaining my center within and it feels delicious. I was also better able to keep my hands in the mudra during the whirling wrist exercise. At first, I felt such discomfort in my wrists, especially in my right thumb (the one I text with). The discomfort left as soon as I let my wrists twirl in a more relaxed fashion, rather than by forcefully manipulating them to turn, which was necessary the first day because they were so stiff. I know I am going to want to do this every day. I have been challenged with CPTSD, and PTSD for my whole life and really struggling with it right now because of heartbreak. I am so grateful to find your videos. Thank you.🙏🏼
I love this! Just finished 40 day for head and heart and think I will do this one next! Very powerful, and I found myself going deep within with a huge smile on my face right before you said slight smile! Can’t make this stuff up! Thank you for your teachings! Sat Nam! ✨💜🙏🏻✨
Whenever my body is really triggered and stressed this is the only tool that can take me out of it. Thank you so much! Please don't ever take it down! :)
oh my god salimah.... this video lesson was on a completely different level. right in the beginning, i struggled so bad to complete the first assignment. ive been following you for roughly 40 days now, and this PTSD video effected me completely different than any other video. it was really hard for me, and i struggled to finish it. im convinced that the postures & breathing tapped into something subconsciously stuck in my body.
Hello all - my humble apologies for the delay in clarifying the last part of the kriya. Here it is written out - I cant upload a picture - sorry. 1. Hold the ring finger and the baby finger down with the thumb on each hand 2. with your palms facing up, extend your arms out to the sides keeping your hands in this mudra 3. rotate your arms forward so that your palms face behind you 4. continue as instructed More clear?
This was day 1 of doing this. I felt refreshed after I finished. Through it I believe it was the second exercise for a quick moment I felt like I wanted to cry but then it passed and I was okay again. Thank you for sharing this with us.
The first few days were very intense and hard physically. Now I'm almost at day 40 and I'm proud of the progress I have made. I feel much stronger and every day after the practice I'm calm, with an open heart and head, and very grateful. If you struggle with the past traumas, do it for yourself and the others around you :) Thank you so much Salimah!
@@YogaVisionOnline Dear Salimah, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately I'm on a limited budget right now. So I'll proceed with the books and youtube for now.
I am going to try this as I had a bad car crash 6 months ago and I am having terrible flash backs and anxiety when in car...feels as if they are all trying to hit me, thank you for this
I was not able to hold most of the movements for the suggested time, however I know that any bit I do has a powerful cumulative effect. The clenching and releasing reminds me of progressive muscle relaxation-- where a muscle group is tensed for a little while and then released, producing relaxation and presence. Thank you Salimah. I've started to paint some quotations on canvas that I've heard from you that have become a part of my speech: Keep up and you'll be kept up Spine of steel, heart of gold In gratitude, Eileen
Hi Eileen - yes that’s right. Some is better than none. And the act of sitting with it, listening and practice all have cumulative effects. Glad to know you are benefiting from the practice. ❤️❤️
Okey so here I am going to share my experiences. Day 1: arms hurt, sometimes it was hard to keep up, i got confused a few times with the circle mouth inhale en nose exhale, after the second exercise i started to feel the urge to cry because of the muscle squeezing, it made me think of how scared i was back when all the bad things happened to me, it got activated but because of the breathing my mind was here calming me down and letting me know it’s all in the past. With the last exercise i let a few tears. I am very excited to do this 40 days and I am going to share all my days with you guys. Have a blessed day 💛✨
Awesome! Better than Western medicine. Thank you so much Salimah. YOU ROCK!!! Love this meditation, even though it physically hurts afterwards I feel so much better. Sat Nam, JasDeep Kaur
This has been very challenging for me, I find that when I do the wrist twirling I also feel the need to twirl my ankles. When I don't twirl my ankles, my legs tend to fall asleep during this practice. I also find that I can't follow your breathing cadence, it is very fast for me. I try to go at my own pace. It is only day 3 for me but I hope to be able to follow this practice exactly as you perform it.
Hello - I liked the practice and it helps me much better than several forms of Yoga I tried. I can feel my body much better although this varies. However, the last meditation isn't clear to me how my arms and hands needs to be oriented relative to my body. Maybe a picture or another similar practice would help me to do this meditation properly. Thank you and good bye Kornelius
Does it matter which direction wrist rotate in 2nd section? And TKU, this meditation is very good. Emotionally, I feel centered and physically, MS disabled needing even to be pushed in my wheelchair, my arms are now toned and I like all the oxygen.
Hi, thanks for this video! I'm a little confused still about which way to do the arm rotations. Are the circles moving inwards or outwards away from the body?
Hi, you mention it's part of a 40 day programme, do you recommend doing this one daily and are there any of videos which are part of this programme. Also, please can you clarify the position of the hands for the final pose
Jo Avada, me neither lol it just seems slightly confusing, so I put the inside of my hand facing upwards with the correct finger position, but when she says turn your wrists to face the back wall, I'm not too sure where the inside of my palm should then be facing
I know the third part has been asked about in the comments, but Im still not clear. So just to clarify, does anyone know if the wrists/arms are turning as we breathe during the third part or are our arms/wrists just being held still once they are in the twisted position. Thank you!!!!
I was crying all the time while doing this so i almost couldn't do the excercises. Something painful (emotionally and physically) was going on in my chest and shoulders. Should I keep doing everyday until I stop crying?
Daniel I’m glad you found this video. Tears can be cathartic. Letting go is painful. And it will leave you lighter. How did you feel after completing this practice?
YogaVision Centre thank you for your reply. I felt a little bit more open in my muscles but with opening came also unease and pain. Like constant electric impulses.
Daniel I can’t give advice here. I have limited knowledge of what your situation is. What I can do is encourage you to keep seeking the Healing. If you found something here commit to it one Day at a time. Each day you will be different and you may experience the practice differently. It is effective and optional to practice for 40 days in a row. Do your best and pls keep in touch.
Tears came for me also, along with painful memories. I'm going on the idea that this is good and part of what is supposed to happen. I will do my best to return daily. 🙏
This is a very effective meditation for me, but like some of the others folks, I am confused by the "palms up and wrists to the back wall" part of the meditation. Is there a picture of this somewhere that we could reference? Please, please explain this for us.

tried this first time today. Did anyone else have trouble keeping arms extended in 3rd exercise? I had to keep lowering them to rest. no strength...will this improve?
Salimah, I find that rotating the left wrist in an outward circle felt quite awkward. Not sure if it's because I am right handed, or because the right wrist is rotating in a clockwise direction and the left wrist is rotating in a counterclockwise direction or a bit of both. I also have mild dyslexia, so this may also be a factor. Would appreciate some feedback. Sat Nam, Yoga Rani
Thank you so much Salima. This practice is a blessing! On day 4 of 40. If one wanted to practice more than once a day is that advised? Love and light to all as we enter 5D. 💞
@@YogaVisionOnline I think so , thank you!! So to be clear palms are not actually facing the ceiling they are starting extended out to the side and from there, shoulders hunch forward and palms face behind. Once you reach the position with the palms facing behind you stay there until the meditation is complete rather than going back and forth between palms up and palms back....?
I cant seem to turn my wrists without cracking or do it very fast when I can for the second exercise- can i keep my elbows close to me and use my arms instead?
Be careful not to do the cannon breath through the nose at the end of the last exercise when Salimah accidentally says to do so. She corrects herself but it was too late for me! Lol. I feel quite uncomfortable now, dizzy and my ears feel blocked. Was feeing amazingly relaxed just prior. I'll know to avoid this next time! Hopefully this feeling will pass soon.
