    Unfortunately, Rokid decided against a promo code after this was filmed. Instead, they are offering direct discounts for the Holidays.

    cool review, i like the idea of a huge monitor i can stick in my pocket and drive the display from my phone ... presume could use wireless earpods for audio

    Had a hard time choosing between this and xreal air 2. The lack of 3dof usage of rokid is really a great drawback to me. But the xreal needs an additional xreal beam for 3dof and the function still makes you feel incomplete in this time.

    Man I wanna try something like this soooo bad. Looks so cool. Dope vid Shane!!!! I can tell I wouldn't like the jittering either, it looked annoying in your screen recording, I know some of these glasses have that lock feature where the window will lock in place regardless of how you move your head

    • @scaryifliteral
      @scaryifliteral  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah, it's trying to lock it but it just can't lol. You're better off just letting it stay put, which means it's stuck to wherever you're looking.

      You can lock position

    Nice but I don't like seeing around me cutting off your outside view.

    Thanks for mentioning the 3D. I think I may pick these up just to watch my 3D movies. My 3D TV died and you can no longer buy one. The 3D Projector is a pain to setup etc..

      If you have a good source for side-by-side 3D stuff let me know lol.

      @@scaryifliteral Thanks again for the great review of the Rokid Glasses. Unfortunately all of mine are 3D DVD / Blue Rays, I bought when you could. My last 3D movie was Black Widow in 2021. I don't understand why they don't release the 3D movies anymore. And the have hardly any 3D hardware. And when they have 3D hardware the manufacture hardly mentions it. Even the description for the Rokid glasses on Amazon did not mention 3D.
      They still show them 3D Theaters. If anyone knows a place you can stream or buy current 3D movies, please provide a link :)

    I would hook up my PS3 and Logitech wheel on these to play Gran Turismo 5 and 6 in Side-by-Side 3D!
    It's fun on my LG 3D passive TV, but it's 47", not 360"!!!! lol

    Have you tried comparing these to the nreals? Curious about your thoughts

    But isn't it true that you could arrange multiple browser pages alongside each other so that you kind of get multiple monitors?

    How bad is your astigmatism? I have -050 in my right eye, do you think i won't be comfortable using these AR glass? Thanks.

      @hikiroasha981 5 месяцев назад

      @scaryifliteral thanks for the reply. Since I'm much lower than yours, really hoping here that I can find comfort in using the glass. Only hesitancy I've got now is the blurry edges you mentioned in your review. May I know how bad is that blurred part? Let's say in fullscreen browser, does it mean the corner part address bar are not clear? Or in steamdeck, the overlay fps are so blurry?

    As far as i know these don't work with pixel phones because Pixel usb ports lack video out?

    • @scaryifliteral
      @scaryifliteral  7 месяцев назад +1

      Correct, several phones do not support video out over USB C DVD that would render the useless with that device.

      @@scaryifliteral I got excited when I saw you connecting it but then I realize it was the OnePlus and not the Pixel Fold. Dex is something I miss from Galaxy Fold and used it with the Xreal Airs. Even iPhone with USB C now works with these devices, you used to need cumbersome/expensive adapters. Hope Google enables this stuff on Pixels as they've been rumored to.

    The Rokid viewing quality looks rich and bright but the jittery part of it is annoying. Something needs to be done about the jittery or shakiness for that type of asking price. 😎💯👊🏾👍🏾

      Great video my friend. I bought the legion go glasses. Way too blurry on fringe of screen. Do u think these are better? Especially hoping the dials help with focus. Thank you for your great work.

    It's a cool idea but they're just so large and bulky I can't see myself wanting to wear them, let alone in the real world, they seem more like goggles than glasses.
    I also don't like that half of the lenses are obstructed, seems like it would be hard to see out of them normally

    • @scaryifliteral
      @scaryifliteral  7 месяцев назад

      I was able to walk around the house with them on, but yeah, there's a see through screen there. Also, my vision sucks so the screen is in focus and nothing else is..
