Cool video! Thanks for posting, xreal 2 pro owner here and your video reassured my right decision on choosing the xreal over the rokid. A couple of things I must share though for your audience:- 1- xreal does support volume control. Just press and hold the brightness down button for ~3 seconds and you'll hear a beep through the right speaker And voila! You can now adjust volume. Press and hold again until you hear the beep and you're back to brightness control. Another cool xreal feature (at least in xreal 2 and 2 pro) is if you press and hold the brightness up button until you hear the beep then the 3d videos feature is enabled. Press and hold again and you're back to normal videos feature. And if you double click the single button next to the brightness/volume control buttons then the spacial screen would be turned off while the speaker continues working. Double click again and the spacial screen will be back on. 2- Kudos to Rokid for creating the branded "Rokid Hub"; a tiny hub to connect both your glasses and a power supply. Just a little disclaimer though, with the hub connected to the mobile device, the glasses won't work unless a power supply is also connected (unlike when directly connecting the glasses to the mobile device).
Oh and one more thing for xreal which also applies for rokid, when their proprietary computing devices are connected with the glasses (example: xbeam for xreal) then the setup would take you to AR level. Without that devi ce, the glasses are just a wearable monitor/screen with no AR features as explained in the video.
@@chriseYe-xh6oh no one, really. just a matter of research and understanding specs, and then it all comes down to first hand experience after checking others', and based on what I found and watched, I'm more into the xReal version of this kind of wearable tech. why are you too bothered? jealous? you can still buy both and decide for yourself then sell one and your partial loss would then be the price for your first hand experience and experience-based decision. not really rocket science, yeah?

Your extensive research on the specs etc for both couldn't have been very 'extensive' ... Every single review i read states that the Rokid Max are better than the xreal glasses... which is why i got the Rokid Max... you don't sound very bright tbh

One very important thing to note if you wear prescription glasses for near-sightedness: The Rokid is easily the winner with the diopter dial, because the Xreal need prescription lens inserts (more $$$) and also the Xreal Air 2/Air 2 Pro has a smaller OLED screen compared to the Air 1 requiring your eyes to be much closer to the glasses, and the prescription lens inserts will get in the way. Wearing contact lenses is a non-starter for many as you cannot wear them while asleep, and for many the use case is media consumption either resting or in bed - you cannot take the Xreal off and get a 5-minute shut-eye or nap. The Xreal Air 1 may be an alternative, but it comes with drawbacks in most other departments compared to the Air 2.
The challenge with Rokid is their lack of support for firmware update + they have neither the desktop nor the mobile app for any kind of integration that XREAL and VITURE are offering.
@@afterworkio Agreed, Xreal is clearly the more popular glasses and they're doing the hard work with 3DOF with the beam. Again it depends on use cases as I (Myopia -3) want the glasses for gaming and entertainment, and the Rokid hardware wise has a bigger FOV and diopters, while the Xreal Air 2 has a smaller 0.55 inch Micro-OLED panel which, while it looks to be higher quality than the Rokid, requires the eyes to be closer. The AR/3DOF stuff in Xreal is nice, but IMO it's really for productivity users needing a second monitor, or for stabilization when in public transport e.g. planes/buses. And the Beam is too underpowered for streaming video by itself - If I were to ever get the Xreal glasses I'll pair it with the Rokid station with full Android TV. My perfect imaginary setup would be the Xreal Air 1 with the bigger OLED panel and diopters/prescription inserts, with all the other ergonomic improvements of the Air 2 Pro, connected to a more powerful Beam that has enough processing power to do both do 3DOF and as a powerful Android TV box.
is this good for work use for viewing pdfs, powerpoints, webpages etc? is the text and readability crisp & clear like a real monitor and the color reproduction ? and what about media viewing experience like movies etc ?

You mentioned that you noticed a bit of pixelation with one of the glasses (Rokid Max?) but could you see yourself using either of these as a replacement for your monitor for long period of time (4-6 hrs) for office productivity applications/software dev. As small piece of constructive criticism, when comparing the features of the glasses you kept saying "this pair...of glasses" while briefly showing one of the glasses when referring to an advantage or disadvantage of the glasses but it wasn't clear which pair of glasses you were referencing...I would suggest stating the name of the glasses to make it explicitly clear when comparing the features...even if it might seem a bit repetitive to you.

Lol... the Rokid literally is BETTER in EVERY SINGLE WAY... Sound... EVERYTHING... no idea who paid this guy.. but ROKID is MUCH better

Xreal is the one i will get. Xreal at least has a decent community ,support and xreal keeps updating this glasses which is good.
Interesting review, but the background with the video is really annoying for me with ADD.
