horribly late to give a fix, but the 35% glasses shut off could be related to the usb select suspension settings, normally on different power modes, theyll have a usb pause feature that lowers power delivery, stops using them altogether, thinks the usb device is afk and therefore stops it to save battery. check all profiles and make sure usb selec suspension is off on all power profiles. learned ab it when i used a very slow read/write usb drive on my gpd win 2 and everytime the win fell asleep it would suspend the storage drive so steam would stop downloading, slow as in if i put downloads over .5mbps it would freeze/stutter a lot so as a 512gb it was a frequent issue

Hey, can you say how is it to use visual studio code with this glasses??? You said something about text, but as a text editor for coding can have some differences, can you test it and show us the result? I'm interested in buy one to replace monitors and to not need to work seated, but since I dont know how is the quality of the text in a text editor like visual studio code, then I didnt buy one yet.

Hi, Emily. Thank you kindly for your perspective on these glasses. Have you tried them with your iPad?
I've heard the Rokid pairs best with Android devices, but would like to hear your thoughts. If yes, pros and any cons to using the glasses on iPad?

    • @Emily_Lowrey
      @Emily_Lowrey  Год назад +1

On the ipad mini, yes, its great! It needs to be an ipad with usb-c port. If you try to connect to a lightning device all the streaming services are blocked in the glasses. But it's fine on the ipad mini 6, very similar to an android experience. You just don't have access to the Rokid AR app (which is no great loss in my opinion!)

Yes and way less secure it wasn’t Apple that got their servers breached a few years ago and caused over 600,000 android users bank account information and credit card information to get stolen by hackers. Yes you’re open source where you can download anywhere you want but you also open yourself up to hackers because you’re not secure but cry as you may

Honestly, it's beyond me how any company can justify selling such a low-quality product at the price they're asking. It feels like a complete rip-off. Save your money and invest in something more reliable.
This product is a prime example of how far a company is willing to go to deceive customers with flashy marketing rather than delivering a functional, high-quality product.

I've been enjoying mine so far for couch gaming and believe it or not, I find these super helpful for souls-based games (Lies of P) that require a bit more timing and precision because having that screen in your face really allows you to be a bit more immersed in the game. one of my best purchases so far, would love to see how the Legion Glasses would fare against these next month.

I am watching this video on my own rokid! I think it is worth mentioning that the native resolution of these glasses is square or square ish so you can see more by changing the input to something like 1920*1920. Case in point, while mirroring from Fold 5, I can see more by opening my phone (candy bar to square)

Some question about Rokid max and 3DOF stable screens / multiple screens
    1. Is there any special software compatible with Rokid max to support stable screen 3 DOF?
    2. How many screens/windows can I open in parallel with this software?
    3. Are the screen stable in space (3DOF) when I move my head with glasses?
    4. Can I move the screens/windows farther/closer to me using the Rokid max?
    5. Can I increase/decrease the size of each windows that is displayed in space?
    6. Do I need a special strong graphic card in my windows PC/laptop?

Not at all - If you think about a Final Cut layout - the video view screen is about a quarter of my 16” MacBook screen anyway. I wouldn’t do any colour grading in the glasses (as I mentioned - the colour is much too warm to be accurate!) but chopping and building an edit it’s great 😁

For starters, why are you lying to people saying that even on the iPhone with the lightning port that it doesn’t work yes it does with the adapter again you would know this if you did a little more research before making a video saying all iPhones pretty much suck when it comes to this there’s enough dumb people out there that believe that their android phones are God and they would pray to them every day. Don’t make them any dumber. Yes, you can buy an adapter for the iPhone users with the lightning cord, but unfortunately, the iPhone 15 came out and they got USB-C and they work just fine as an android phone does so I think you should update your video.

I recently purchased a product from Rokid and unfortunately, my experience has not been positive. Wearing the device often leads to feelings of dizziness which has greatly reduced its usability for me.
Despite these issues, I’ve found it extremely challenging to initiate a return with Rokid. Even when a return is agreed upon, they do not provide a shipping label, which adds unnecessary difficulty and cost to the process.
Furthermore, Rokid’s customer service has left much to be desired. They do not have an online customer service option, which results in communication strictly through email. This has led to delayed responses, and in some cases, no response at all.
It’s been a disappointing experience overall and I would caution future potential customers about these issues.
