      First off - none of these are ever great or even useable for glasses wearers 👎 (the adjustments advertised are often garbo and don't work for astigmatism at all - it be shocked if it was anything more than a basic adjustable magnifier)

      I don't think they are 'the future', but it will have a large place in it. like VR, it wont be for everyone, but will have a sizable following, and a place in the future but will still be a niche. like VR or motion control, it will become a love it or hate it thing.

      If you are talking about doing it professionally, I'd be more worried about the colour accuracy of the screen. I believe Wood stated they were 1080p, and if they are saying that they can't see any pixels, then the screen is probably around 500+ppi that would be good enough for casual video editing, but what would make or break it (for professional use) would be the colour accuracy. For that price, I wouldn't expect it to be extremely colour accurate, just good enough for most people to not be able to tell the difference from that close.

    I preordered these October of last year. They will support remote play for Xbox and ps with the neckband, and I can’t wait to use that on the go or at home. Also, these with the neckband support airplay. I’ve confirmed that I can connect a tv to my phone hotspot and airplay to that tv while using data for my phone (so I don’t use hotspot internet), so believe these will allow for the same functionality on the go, again need the neckband.
    I’m seriously stoked to get them. My concern is that I can’t put my phone screen very close to my face and focus on it, so I am afraid I won’t be able to focus on these having the screen so close. Oculus uses lenses to focus the image, but since these allow you to see through them, I can’t imagine they would distort your vision with a lens in front of your eyes. Guess I’ll see when I eventually receive mine, hopefully in March.

    The thing about XR is that the "distance" to the screen can be adjusted through software. Or that should be the case at least. Virtual desktop, a VR program made for the purpose of creating a virtual desktop environment, allows you to set the distance of your screens in VR. Instead of the entire screen being just moved closer (so you eventually start seeing pixels), the screen is made smaller as well. So it winds up taking the same amount of space on the screen, but suddenly you have to cross your eyes a bit more since the image of the screen is right in front of you. Far enough away, and the screen feels massive, even though it looks just as big. VR/XR/AR is amazing, and currently growing a lot. We can only imagine what the next few years look like.

    I got a pair of these. For the budget-conscious you can find a used pair of Nreal Airs for way less that should be otherwise very comparable for the basic functions mentioned in the video, but the main selling point behind the Viture seems to be the extra features and the ecosystem. I was scared off the Rokid Airs, seemingly the only other native nearsighted-supporting glasses by the reviews complaining of screen edge distortion. Perhaps largely in thanks to my very average IPD but Viture has no edge distortion for me, and a lot of the price difference between them and NReal would otherwise get eaten up by prescription lenses. I was enticed by the seemingly genius feature of electrochromic lenses that can darken on-demand, but the effect is so mild (I can't tell if it's activating at all?) that it seems useless in any scenario that isn't so bright you'd want to use the light blocker instead anyways. But the unfinished neckband accessory seems like the biggest selling point, turning them into an all-in-one smart glasses. And if a comparison photo I saw is accurate, their color accuracy blows NReal out of the water.
    The screen size is of course relative to what you're looking at but to be honest, I'd much sooner compare them to a large TV (~70 inches). They don't fill up your peripheral vision at all, and compared to the distance I sit from a ~100 inch projector screen the image is much smaller. The comparison to it feeling like a switch held up to your eyes is definitely accurate to my first impression rather than anything akin to a large theater screen. But compared to playing on a handheld device it's awesome. My one concern is their proprietary magnetic connector; even if you can stomach the ~$500 pricetag, the thought of them charging $60 for a replacement USB cable if the included one breaks is nauseating.

    • @VITURE
      @VITURE Год назад +3

      Thanks so much for your support! Not bad! Since it is around the same price as a portable monitor, it's definitely a cool idea and the way I think modern displays are going to go, where instead of smaller, brighter screens we get these projected screens that can be any size or scale. Maybe the SteamDeck/Switch killer will just be a controller that outputs directly to glasses like these? For me though, with the price of a Quest 2 as it is, I'd probably just side load a usb camera app and connect a USB capture card to it, or use Immersed or other virtual desktop apps to view my screen, and get the same effect with the added bonus of being able to move the screen, adjust the size, and get other functionality. But then again, these glasses are way more portable and fit in a pocket.

I personally love the black out shades and highly recommend getting the cover with the glasses. I've been using them with my switch, Iphone, and even my PS5. I watch the last of us every sunday with them. About the screen size. I was curious so I went to a movie like 20 min before it was going to start, took out the glasses and plugged in my phone. I was sitting in the middle row middle seat and the projection perfectly fit the Movie theater's screen. I did have an employee come up to me while I was sitting their and i had to explain that they aren't recording glasses and what I was doing with them. Let him try them out and he said he would look them up later. Wonder if he bought a pair. XD

    @BeatEmUps ,Nice glasses tbh but I had a recommendation why not try the nreal air glasses since I assume these glasses were inspired by it in design terms(they came before these did and I think it fixes on some parts you mentioned like black bezels in the top of the glasses.) I use a pair for my pc and steam deck and other devices and it's great. If you have the app for android and ios it goes upto 201inches and it supports up to 90hrtz on some devices. It's great for my steam deck but I think this one having a portable dock is nice and maybe you could use it on the nreal air. Would love to see you make a review on them and compare these glasses to that.
    Also I just realized these glasses have less features than nreal air but cost somewhat more than it, one feature I am sure you will like is that you can lock your content in place and not have it move with your head if you don't want it to. Also wanted to say that I have took them to college and sat and watch videos and done work on them through it and it was fun😂
