Seems like you totally get it. My absolute FAVORITE thing to do with AR glasses is play games or watch shows while sprawling out on the bed or the couch. Being able to play while completely relaxed, without having to hold up a Steam Deck or whatever to see the screen or crane my neck to look at a TV or monitor while lying down is the. best. thing. No more neck pain and no more hand pain. I really don't understand why most gaming/tech reviewers don't seem to see how much of a game changer AR glasses can be.
Which, how is that connection not made, when many people have specifically said the couch, bed is where people are primarily playing, especially the less portable, more powerful ones. The other very common location is the loo
Easy to forget you only have 80k subscribers... The quality of your videos is better than others with way more. Definitely expect you to at least hit half a million in time
Excellent video. I've owned the Ones and now the Pros - quality hardware and quality support. Just want to be sure everybody is aware that your experience with blurry edges is not the same as everyone else. The dials work great for me (-4.50 and -4.75) and the picture is crisp, clear, and sharp corner to corner. You may need to mess around with the nose attachments to get the proper fit. Also, if you are using glasses in front of the Viture frames, you are likely pushing your face further away from the screens, which could result in fuzzy corners. For most people, the edges and image will be perfectly sharp. Cheers from Canada!
In future models, I hope you will consider improving the dimming future so that I can make the glasses go from sunglasses to inside walk-around everyday glasses. Also, please include a sim card slot so I can not only connect my glasses to my phone but use the glasses themselves as my stand-alone phone.
I bought these, and I'm not a RUclipsr. They're badass! Any youtuber that you think are shilling there glasses to make sales you're mistaking. They are very good and crystal clear! Get the neckband with it. You can download any app and chill and watch TV.
I will 100% admit that I picked up a pair of Lazy Glasses that give you a 90 degree view so you can "read" lying down looking pretty much straight up. They actually work really good for playing the Steam Deck too. Nothing as good as these, but for the price, it's a pretty solid thing to try out. Do get the "Widescreen" ones though as the tall ones aren't quite as good for close Deck viewing.
9:00 i've been waiting for regular games to finally be able to be played in 3d, in a vr headset. turns out that guide for native 3d/reshade works for playing regular games in 3d in bigscreen... :D
Never used a VR/AR glass but I reckon it would trigger my dizzyness very fast, especially with fast moving images or first person things. But I got really interested in trying these
I guess that one of the bonuses of the external battery dock thingy is that you can charge the deck whilst using the glasses as well since the deck only has 1 usbc port. Unless this works with a normal deck dongle.
They also a cable that allows for charging and glasses use, I have one and it works great. The reason for the dock is really for the ability to play Switch, it tricks the Switch into going into "dock mode" so you get higher performance and benefit of the battery. They have a similar bracket for the Switch to attach to back. I think my primary reason for the dock is to use my ps5 with it. Dad life has you lose the TV at times.
@@capuman So I have the Xreal Air glasses, so this may not be true for you, but in my experience, the Viture "USB-C to Glasses & Charger Adapter" allows me to use my glasses while charging the OG Steam Deck. I also have a Rokid adapter that does the same thing, but it DOES NOT work with the OG Steam Deck, but DOES work with the new OLED Steam Deck. Again, that's for my specific brand of AR glasses. Others my play nice with both adapters with both versions of the Deck.
Super cool! If anyone out there has a Quest 2 or 3, you can emulate on it using sidequest and just bluetooth an xbox controller to it. I used this setup on a plane and it works however the screen will move if the plane turns,,, wild times we live in!
I'm an uber driver I always have my steam deck with me to play between rides, so the idea of this is extremely interesting I'll definitely be interested to see the future of these if they get cheaper
When you compare them to the xreal air as the last generation, do you mean the xreal air 2 pro? I am also interested in the different screen modes available, as xreal can provide several, each good for different use-cases.
After the past couple of weeks of suffering from neck strain from laying in bed playing on my deck, I've finally decided to drop the cash on a pair of these. I've been tempted to get something like this ever since I heard about them, but I wasn't convinced that the technology was quite 'ready' yet (I have the same feelings about VR which I'm still not ready to get into). This review got me to give them a go, I do wish I'd decided to buy these back when I first watched your review when it released as now the pair I've ordered won't arrive in time for my holiday in a couple of weeks, but I'm eager to try them out once they finally do ship. Thanks for another great informative review, I'm going to have to unsubscribe if you keep convincing me to buy awesome expensive tech!
Did I miss the elaboration of the prescription attachment and the myopia adjustments? Wondering if my 200/175 eyes can just use the in-built adjustment.
I'm not sure how that translates to the data that Viture provides. "VITURE Pro XR Glasses support adjusting the virtual image up to -5.0D (500 degrees) for users with myopia (nearsightedness)." My prescription feels like it's right in the middle of the adjustment, but it's still not as clear as when I wear these over my glasses.
I love 8bitdo and their controllers, but that type of controller I have. I maybe put 10 hours on it all together. Mostly palworld, but anyway, the L1 and R1 seem to start to stick after awhile of playing.
I tried the original Viture and noticed that I needed to “look down” to see the image. I ended up returning the device. Is that an issue with the Pro model?

Included cable is 4ft (can be extended with usbc extender). Edge clarity is not 100% (explained that near the end of the vid). It's almost perfect, but not quite. I didn't try any ultrawide resolutions but it'd be the same as doing ultrawide Steam Link streaming on a 1080p TV.

If you look at them and think "I NEED THOSE FOR ____", then they're probably for you. If you look at them and thinks "Neat, I wonder if I'd like them", then you probably don't need something like this and won't use them much.
Is the edge blur worse or better than that on the xreal air pro 2? Could you do work with them? Just got xreals and the blur is killing my productivity
saw this on ETA prime the other day. these glasses are cool but too expensive and more so if you buy the accessories that you need or want for it. my wallet says nope big NOPE
Are you able to plug the glasses directly into the deck, or do you have to use the dock? My friend who got one says the glasses go black after 15-20sec being in a game.
That sounds just like 8bitdo to make a controller clearly built for the steam deck but make it a switch controller inside 😭 like literally just give me an ultimate controller with the Xbox button layout and xinput over bluetooth I hate that it's not an option.

I wonder if the mobile deck would work with Pixel 7 Pro, which doesn't come with DP output?
Hi, what game are you playing at the 12 minute mark of the video?
Bot Vice
Does the docking station mount affect the steam deck cooling?
Awesome video. I may give them a go
Just wanted to know if you are still using these and if your experience has changed over time?
Yup! They are my favourite XR glasses. I don't use them often, but I really enjoy them when I do. I think whether or not they'll be right for you is whether or not you can see a use case for them. If you look at them and think "I NEED THOSE FOR ____", then they're probably for you. If you look at them and thinks "Neat, I wonder if I'd like them", then you probably don't need something like this and won't use them much.
@@TechDweeb Thanks for the response bro, keep up the great work.
Is the edge blur worse or better than that on the xreal air pro 2? Could you do work with them?
Just got xreals and the blur is killing my productivity
saw this on ETA prime the other day. these glasses are cool but too expensive and more so if you buy the accessories that you need or want for it. my wallet says nope
big NOPE
What do your heart says, though?
@@rony_rst ok
Name of game in the thumbnail?
Bot Vice
@@TechDweeb Thank you.
One thing you don’t mention is if they are 3DOF or 6DOF, if they are 3DOF it’s a big NoNo for me I’m afraid :)
Givin that the glasses themselves don't have cameras for inside out tracking they're probably identical to the nreal in being 3dof.
Intro = From Nick Carter Who I am Tour?
Can you use these with any/other controllers?
Price??
I am a reseller, can get you them on discount if you want
I might just get this for my Thailand trip this year!
heads up, definitely don't mount the docking station to the back of the steam deck. it will cover your air intake vents
you're now the coolest tech youtubers with that AR glasses
That gamepad is magical!
If only it had analog triggers. Sad because it would match my LE Deck perfectly but they gimped the controls.
Are you able to plug the glasses directly into the deck, or do you have to use the dock? My friend who got one says the glasses go black after 15-20sec being in a game.
You can plug into Steam Deck. Plays great.
Nice review as always, but the price is way out of my league. I can't justify almost $500 for these even though it's tempting.
The lite version (non-dimmable) is $350, with an additional 10% off coupon amzn.to/4bOqE7S
You should have made a glasses reveal
That sounds just like 8bitdo to make a controller clearly built for the steam deck but make it a switch controller inside 😭 like literally just give me an ultimate controller with the Xbox button layout and xinput over bluetooth I hate that it's not an option.
