    Review: Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro
    After spending a few days with the Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro, here are my thoughts:
    Ultimate On-the-Go Display: This device is perfect for any Android app and streaming media. It’s truly the ultimate portable display solution.
    Seamless Connectivity: I’ve used it extensively with Anydesk, and thanks to Windows 11 Pro, I can use Android RDP to log directly into the console. It’s incredibly convenient.
    Screen Recording Limitation: The screen recording feature seems to be capped at 30 seconds, which might be a setting I haven’t discovered yet. However, this limitation doesn’t apply to 3D recording via the device.
    Specifications:
    Model: Xreal X4000, Android 14
    Battery: 4300mAh
    Processor: 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 @1.80 GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A55 @2.21 GHz
    Cores: 8 Cores, 3 Threads
    Resolution: 1080 x 1140 pixels, 300 DPI (Per Eye)
    Impressions:
    Field of View: The field of view is impressive, though future models will need to improve in this area to compete with the likes of the Apple Vision Pro.
    Display Quality: The screens are exceptional, with vivid colours that stand out.
    Performance: The 8GB model performs well, though the 6GB model might not be as robust.
    Overall, for the price, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra & Beam Pro offer a very impressive experience.

    8:57 is where he answers. He chose Viture Pros.Worth watching for the comparison. I have Xreal Air 2 Pro/ and Beam Pro bundle on order, debating on cancelling for the Viture, but I do like the beam pro for the 3D Photos and the Viture Neck thing looks bad to navigate. Anyone here with both want to chime in?

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  5 месяцев назад +11

      Well obviously I have both and I'll chime in.. beam Pro is pretty damn cool but essentially just a mid-tier cell phone with a 3D camera and an extra port for your glasses so you can charge and play. The neck band from Viture is a wearable computer that you don't have to hold in your hand. I love the fact that it just slips around my neck with a very short cord to the glasses so I have nothing dangling to catch on things as I move about my day. As for navigation of the neck band, you can do this in multiple different ways! My favorite method of navigation is simply using my dualshock 4 controller because the little mouse pad even works this way. For productivity you can also pair a full Bluetooth keyboard and mouse setup or a more compact travel mini foldable BT keyboard mouse combo and those work just as well. Lastly there is also an app from VITUTE that you can put on your phone which turns it into a mouse and keyboard for the neck band so as you see there are multiple different options for navigation available on the device! Hope this helps you and making your decision 😎

    • @AlexJorgensenPresident
      @AlexJorgensenPresident 5 месяцев назад +3

      You will get used to the navigation if you use it often, but Viture also has a neckband remote app, which is very smooth for navigation

    im getting the Xreal Air 2 Ultra with the Beam Pro in a few weeks. Have you wondered how the glasses and the upgraded companion device wil match up to the Viture Pro and its neck device?
    I have looked at other reviews of the ultra glasses and they all say the FOV, and audio are greatly improved from the Air 2 Pro. They are expensive, but I think they won't stay at that price forever. As the initial batch are aimed at developers although anyone can buy.
    But it's this new Beam Pro product that is really going to completely put it into another ball park from the Viture Pro. Don't worry I am sure they will emulate in their next version!. it has 6DoF also. Enabling hand & spacial, mesh depth tracking..
    i think of the Beam Pro as a specially designed product as a spacial computer that can record in 3D and can be plated back @90fps using the Xreal Air 2 Ultra glasses. All with the Google play store with Zillions of app? Viture wont be able to touch that!

    • @vrgamerdude

      I will have a review of Beam Pro coming soon but until then the TLDR is that honestly it's not much different than a mid tier Android cell phone with 2 Usb c ports and a 3D camera. When ultra is out I think it will be a more needed device but until then if you already have a compatible phone you might not need it.

    • @ApfelSgt
      @ApfelSgt Месяц назад +2

      In my personal opinion, buy the Viture! They’re by far the best overall Choice and most advanced out of all! There simply is no comparison to the Display quality in the viture pro! They’re so sharp from edge to edge that it is a pleasure everytime i am using them! Perfect clarity, no blurry images like with the others! And the colours are so damn good! I got a iphone 15 pro max which is known for a really good display with really accurate and beautiful colours and it’s nearly completely identical! I would even say that the colours pop even slightly more on the viture pro! That shows how amazing the display really is! You could also choose between 4 colour modes by pressing and holding the louder button. The dimming is also the best out of these glasses. It’s nearly complete dark when you dimm them!
      In my opinion, the Display is the most important thing on xr glasses, because that’s what they are for! To replace or extend your normal monitor/tv!
      The Sound by Harman is also by far the best, which is amazing for movies, youtube etc. and i love that i don’t have the need for external headphones or speakers! ☺️👍🏼
      Build quality is also higher because they use aluminium and not plastic like the others!
      And on top of all that is, that Viture has Spacewalker! Which is the most advanced Software for xr glasses!
      If you want to work with your glasses, then that alone should decide to buy the Viture! 👌🏼
      And you asked because of the beam pro.
      The beam pro is basically only a smartphone with the ability to capture spatial video with a „okay“ quality!
      If you have a iphone 15/16 pro, you could do that too and with way better quality! 😅
      But here is the next game changer with the viture! They release their Neckband Pro! That thing is so powerful! That makes your ar glasses to real „extended“ reality! It has 7x more CPU and 40x more GPU power than the normal neckband! You get AI Voice control, it has a camera built in so you could control your glasses with your hands! So if you want to zoom for example, just pinch in the air like you do it with your smartphone! It’s also 20% lighter and has 50% more battery life!
      And on top of all that is that Viture is not a chinese brand and they really care about their customers! They react to videos and critisism and make updates to fix them as good as possible!
      For example, the built in speakers were not as good as they are now and they were not as loud! A youtuber criticised that and Viture wrote a comment on that video that they fixed it and we all should download the new update for the improved audio! And they have done all that in a few days! 😌👌🏼
      So my personal opinion is that the Viture Pro plays in his own League! All combined they’re miles ahead of Xreal and Rokid! Even if they’re not the cheapest, quality just has its price i guess? 🤷🏽
      I absolutely love mine and i am impressed every time again when i use them! 😍
      But even when they all would be equally in every other part, i would buy the Viture just because of the Display and the software! You want to have joy using ar glasses, regardless if you’re playing games, watching movies or work with them! And i can’t having fun if my edges are blurry, or the colours aren’t good like with Xreal and Rokid! And to work with them i need a good software too! And in this case, spacewalker is by far the best!
      The amazing accessories like neckband/pro and the mobile dock are just the icing on the cake!
      For me, it seems like Viture is the only company that really think about and engineer their products and don’t make products just for profit!
      For example the neckband pro like i said! Or the mobile dock which allows to watch with a friend the same things! And use your nintendo switch or steam deck on the go while charging it and you could „clip“ the mobile dock to them! That just makes sense and it’s cleaned up too!
      Rokid for example just makes new products for profit! They just released their new „rokid max 2“!
      And what’s new? Basically only 2 colours and a little bit different design… 🤦🏽‍♂️
      They know the problems with the cheap display and haven’t changed anything with the hardware! They still have the extreme blurry image, the worse colours and so on! They still have the worse speakers! And they still look ugly as hell! 🤷🏽
      That’s in my opinion not how a company should release new glasses with a „2“ on the name! Basically no improvement on the past failures! That’s only to release a „new“ product and selling more! 🤦🏽‍♂️
      Sry for the long answer haha!
      Just buy the Viture pro xr, you will definitely be the most happy with them! Rokid and Xreal just are a big step behind Viture! ☺️👌🏼

I haven’t bought anything yet. I work for long hours on my laptop and the problem is the screen sizes so I want to have glasses where I can sit anywhere and have a big screen without affecting my neck. I will also use it for movies etc. I like the spacial option and multi screen etc.

I tried the VITURE glasses on a plane with 2 props versus jet engines and with the sound level it was on, (I couldn't figure out how to raise the volume yet so my fault), I couldn't hear the dialogue in the movie so I turned on closed captions to read it. • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  2 месяца назад

      My audio is crisp and clear and sounds loud enough to drown out most of the noise in my room but not sure in the cabin of a twin prop airplane though... Most likely the volume needed to be adusted from both the glasses and source to be maxed. I have noticed that sometimes if my source volume is set to max and my glasses aren't it can make the volume seem soft.... Also a 3rd culprit is sometimes the media player app itself depending on which one you use having it's own volume settings, so it is a balance of many things here. You also need to double click the button on the glasses to switch from brightness to volume adjustment and some people tend to forget or just don't know about that option. I wil say though use in nois polluted environments like an airplane would still require a good set of noise canceling headphones in most cases.

    awesome video dude, exactly what i was looking for! Easy sub!
    remaining question though... I also wear glasses and that's the only thing holding me back from jumping into this tech. with the Myopia adjustments its starting to look more appealing.
    Have you tried those adjustment dials in place of your glasses? or have you ordered prescription lenses for any of the pairs of glasses? and how did you find whichever you opted to test out?
    Thanks!

      @@eambot sure thing... The adjustments in the VITURE glasses work great for me. My friends at VR-ROCK did send me a pair of prescription lenses for these as well as all of my other XR glasses, and those also worked great as they're just magnetic and clip right into place. The upside of using prescription lens inserts is that you can see through the glasses just like sunglasses, so it not only makes the image clear for the image you're seeing in the glasses but also the the world around you. So no matter which way you go, just hit up the link in my description for VR-Rock and you can get a great set of prescription lenses for just about any headset... Or if you're in the correct prescription range, go with the VITURE glasses! Those are my daily drivers and I currently recommend them over any other XR glasses out there. You can also see the description for a 10% discount on those as well. I hope this helps and thanks for the sub. 😎

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  5 месяцев назад +2

      Yes it will work with an adapter that you can purchase and yes so far I have not had any issues swapping any glasses to any other station from any other manufacturer outside of the fact that specific features will only work for the glasses they are meant to be plugged into.. for example with the Viture neck band you can use any sets of glasses but screen pinning and 3D will only work if you are using Vitures... Same goes for devices like the new beam Pro that I am testing currently.. it will work with other manufacturer's glasses but only in screen mirroring mode so you do not get any of the spatial UI stuff. Currently I don't know of any truly universal device that will work with all the glasses.

    I just bought the Vitrue pro and sent them back. I tried last night to update the firmware using my Mac and it kept failing. After 10 tries I stuffed them back in the box and sent them back today. I will wait for the next generation next year. Also, say the audo is great is absolute hog wash. I had to use air pods to get decent sound but he built in was soft at full volume at best.

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  2 месяца назад +3

      Definitely something wrong then.. My audio is crisp and clear and sounds loud enough to drown out most of the noise in my room? Most likely the volume needed to be adusted from both the glasses and source to be maxed. I have noticed that sometimes if my source volume is set to max and my glasses aren't it can make the volume seem soft as you described it....Also a 3rd culprit is sometimes the media player app itself depending on which one you use having it's own volume settings so it is a balance of many things here... You also need to double click the button on the glasses to switch from brightness to volume adjustment and some people tend to forget or just don't know about that option. Did you try all of that? As for the firmware not loading, I have no clue since I am not an Apple user. Did you contact VITURE Support about this? I plug them into my PC and it updates no probelm. Spaceawalker is freaking AMAZING with it... I now have three AR monitors and two 30" real ones at my desk that can all interact with each other.. It's like i'm siting in freaking mission control at NASA...LOL... Anyway, sorry you didn't have a good experience with you'rs... Not most people obviously but plenty do.

      Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy S8, LG G7 ThinQ, and iPhone XS.

      @@Shark-fj2sz So where in this video do I talk about The VITURE One glasses? Obviously you didn't see that this is a comparison between The VITURE Pro and other more current glasses from the other manufacturers. It is widely acknowledged that The VITURE Pro has no screen edge blurring and this has been completely solved now with the new Sony micro OLED panels.... The screen is crystal clear! Maybe next time watch the video or read the description that way you can make an informed comment on the subject matter! 🤨

      @@vrgamerdudealthough liked your video and also I'm waiting for your beam pro impressions. However, just a small correction. Viture Pro has no screen edge blurring, has been completely solved - is not correct. People are reporting blurriness. Totally depends on which glasses fit well on which face type.

    • @vrgamerdude
      @vrgamerdude  5 месяцев назад +3

      @@ketley2aug okay yes I will completely agree there it is really dependent on several factors including ipd as well as eye depth and face shape and size... I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones who never saw the blurriness or distortion in any of the first generation VITURE products. It was also similar for me with the original pimax VR headsets where several people reported seeing distortions in the periphery but I could never see them. Might also have to do with the fact that I have been testing and using immersive technologies like this for over 25 years now so my eyes have grown accustomed to anomalies.

      @@ketley2aug there is a difference between press and influencer embargoes versus beta testers... What you are seeing now is coming from people in their beta program. Looks like paid review for me. At viture reddit lot of information what they have very bad colors on viture pro and right now they are working (not ready at this moment) on firmware update to support more color profiles. Also 4000 nits it clear marketing, because sony just not have such microdisplays with 4000 nits. I think what xreal air 2 and viture pro using exactly same microdisplay from sony.
    Also people talking what sound quality and volume actually better in xreal air 2...

      I have not been paid for this video by any of these companies with the exception that all three of them sent me their glasses for free, so these are my personal opinions... as I mentioned a few times in this video people perceive and see these things differently. As someone who's been in the consumer electronics industry for over 25 years I can't tell you the number of times that I've had people look at the exact same image and describe it to me completely opposite of what the other says they saw.

      @@vrgamerdude but as reviewer, you need to know what 4000 nits microdisplays still not exists... Also reading viture/xreal reddits to know more about common problems with reviewed gadgets = may be good way to go.

      Doesn't xreal reddit have way more complaints and they are switching to viture; as a long time viture user, I can firmly tell you viture has been constantly improving, not perfect but definitely the best on the market, and the brightness on Pro is noticeably brighter than any other glasses I have tried

      @@alexkavak5055 Not every tech video you watch is a "review" and if this was a full technical "review" I might actually mention stuff like that more in depth. Oh and if those slides are wrong, well you can blame it on the manufacturers because these all came from their publicly available materials whic I find most to be slightly deceptive from all 3 companies mentioned here. OH.. and BTW, this video is meant to be an overview and comparison piece where I am just giving my personal opinions of what I see and think.... Sorry it wasn't technical or deep enough for ya! 🙁
