I have absolutely no justification for why I watched this whole thing. But I did. Thanks for sharing!
Finally someone properly explaining how the spydieflick is done 🙏
you didn't know? really?
I've been into knives for a while now and I didn't know how to properly Spydieflick until now. Great video!
I have the trusty Spyderco Paramilitary 2 and I've seen many videos with people flipping it open like this and no explanation on how. Now I can do it no problem! Thanks for explaining it in a way that a knife enthusiast can understand!
THANK YOU for providing a demonstration that gives a look from BOTH sides of the knife. I can now do a mediocre spydieflick, albeit not on either of my two Spyderco knifes. I'll work on them :)
Thanks for this video. I could never figure it out from just watching people do it in videos. Also, a year or so ago I picked up the GiantMouse ACE Clyde and was disappointed that I couldn't thumb flick it open because it was designed for only righties and I'm a lefty. After watching this video I was spydieflicking through my collection (as you do) and was super excited once I got to the Clyde because I can now spydie flick it open as opposed to awkwardly and slowly opening it otherwise. Thanks man!
funny story, I have actually spydy-launched my knife (Spyderco para 3 for those of you who wanted to know) into the floor almost spring my foot in the process
I've owned Spyderco knives for the better part of my lifetime, and I'm both embarrassed and thrilled to say I finally get it. G10 Para 2? _Check._ G10 Para 3? _Check._ FRN Endela? *_Grrrrrr!_* I'll get there. Thanks for the instructional! It's the best one I've seen so far on this silly/fun topic.
I'm already a pro at this technique but still watched the whole damn video! Merry Christmas everyone!
Very nice and informative. I wondered how you flicked your knives open.
Took a while to break in, but my first thumb stud knife was a Spartan Harsey, which I can reverse flick right handed, but not left handed because of the lock bar. Thanks.
Thank bro I'm a retired Army veteran I have a spiderco tenuous
Good timing. Due to your EDC vid's I've been guilty of trying to learn this over the past few days. Great channel. (Wife thinks I'm mental)
It only gets worse!! With the wife and with gear 😂
after watching some of our videos and seeing you spydieflick when i got my Honeybadger i did it right away, i like to open the knife this way much more then using back flipper, and with this videos i got to know that the hole is ment for thomb
It somewhat works on my Buck 311 but it usually requires a little assistance with a flick of the wrist. The first time I did it with the flick assistance I accidentally threw the knife across the room 😂
Thanks for the video! I had been trying to learn that technique properly!
Good vid. Good idea putting finger on pivot...makes everything line up better
looking really good man! Glad to see you doing well!
Great little tutorial. Thanks for sharing. I'll be sure to give it a try.
As soon as I saw the Zaan on the table I had to see what happened... lol
I learned how to do the spydieflick years ago. Took a little practice. What I did for practice was to put a piece of scotch tape on edge of blade until I was comfortable with the technique.
That's clever.
Try the Zaan with your left hand. I can’t spydieflick mine with my right hand but can do it effortlessly with the left. And I’m right handed lol
Very nice tuto 👍🏼👊🏼
Nice tip for axis lock's knifes 😉👍🏼👌🏼
Y’all definitely give him a thumbs up. Great content! Thanks for sharing!
Wow!!!!! Can't believe how easy it actually was. Picked it up so quick thanks to this video.
Thanks! Appreciate it!
That's cool. I'll have to try it on my old Spyderco knives. 👍
I always thought of the grip as shaking hands with the knife
Thanks for the tutorial...cool disco in the background
I think I'll just stick to the spine flick knives, my fingers are too long, to get a proper spidy flick going.
Yeh I used to be able to do it 6x in a row to but alas those days are gone 😪
Thanks Taylor!
I’ve been working on it. My spydey is brand new from factory, I’m assuming it’s going to have to get broken in haha.
my favourite way for my baby banter. so smooth so flicky.
The civivi odium is GREAT for reverse flicking ;)
Will you please look at the stat gear ausus? I think you’d really like it!
Dope I need this because I can't spydieflick at all
Best videos ever
What's the front flipper you showed in the beginning?
Me : now Ima spydieflick my proper
I love you taste of knives and stuff
I watched to mostly see the garage.
I need a knife hand gymnastics spinneroonie tutorial
Wow.. Hello from Poland...
can you flick open a civivi elementum? I've seen people being able to do that on a stonewashed finish.
I appreciated the how-to instruction. I watched with a Spyderco knife in my hand. I just can’t do it. 🤨☹️☹️
Do you have any recommendations for knife stores in the concord/charlotte area? I always find myself wanting to get some hands-on experience with a knife before I purchase it
Didn’t even know this was a thing or a term I’ve just naturally been doing this for years
I just bough the Spyderco Delica 4 , its so stiff, do i have to loosen the screw to do this or it takes time to get loose? Like i flick it and it doesnt even budge up lol
I’m a noob & I’ve got a Tenacious & Efficient to practice on. What’s that on your wrist Tay Tay? Looks like a Marathon diver
My Tenacious is super tight. (That's what she said) Its difficult to flick open. Suggestions?
Can anyone tell me if that is cru wear spyderco. And if so where to get those grips? Or are they custom?
I still can't spydieflick my Sebenza 31...it's the only knife that causes me trouble
It's funny how some people don't know how to do it I can do it with every finger on my hand
Me with an otf still watched the vedio good work
I wanna see ya do this with a Praetorian T
When i'm looking for a knife i don't even consider those ones with no thumb hole just because i know that i can't spydieflick them. well i knew... and i was wrong
I've tried this before on all of the knives I own and I think my hands are too damn big for this.
I know how to do it , i just like watching u play with knives! :))
I would love to see how someone with the balls to spydieflick a Spyderco Police
Can you show my how you flick the SOG SealXR?
Cool video Taylor! IF you haven't yet do a sharping video! IF you have please link! Big fan of your stuff!!!
Anyone know the knife at 4:09?
My Stretch 2 isn’t easy to do.
All 10m of them.
I feel so heard! :) I was so curious how you spydie flicked your umnumzaan!
The umnumzaan is my only knife I cannot spydieflick. Maybe one day I’ll get lucky or a strong enough middle finger to figure it out. Great video Taylor.
Love reverse flicking my zaan
@@kaanyalim9086 but howwwwww?!
I just broke off an inch of the tip of my PM2. Anybody have any suggestions? I hear i cant buy a replacement blade from Spyderco.
Buy a PM2
Nice 👍🏾
Damn this just popped up when i just got my Titanium Military, 2x g10 para military 2's fucking stolen.. Unfortunately i cant spydieflick my BUG :(
I don’t have any spring assist knives so I have to flick my wrist to do it lol
None of my knives are spring assisted.
@@BestDamnEDC random question. When did you start you knife collection. And what was your first knife?
Name of knife @ 5:02 in?
Super expensive Mall ninja
@@Notorious2024 thank you. I found some on ebay going keep looking because I have to get one & its all your falt 😂, 1 grand blade there! 🙈
@@justadudeintheworldman.120 😂
Hi
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Can’t believe people need a video on this
Farmer E
you need 2 things 1 you need strong fingers 2 you need to oil the hinges. I dropped my knife twice. Twice it almost fell on my foot. This is not safe to do.
Sharpening for noobies
This…needed to be a video topic?
I made it for old geezers like you
My man mitts couldn’t spidey flick my mini grip with speed hole.
Literal un-watchable click bait trash /s
tried this on my spyderco knife and this does not work sorry but have had to give a thumbs down for this. I have fear of chopping my own fingers off
It worked in the video and in countless other videos.
I have monster mitts. I can spidie the Spyderco Resilience. Course my other ones need to be a little more broke in. I just don't have luck with anything smaller.
