currently have the wired gpro x and they are starting to ware out after 2 years, sadly the metal bit has started to chip a bit and some plastic peice came off, for wireless would it worth to go to the wireless version or go for the new nova 7 or nova pro wireless (i love my g pro wired headset been really happy with it, is it different than the wired one)
Seeing your so used to the g pro x you might be more satisfied sticking with the g pro x even tho my opinion is that the nova 7 sound better you might end up missing your g pro x

i love the idea of doing plugs/adds when testing the mic, this is clever! Personally i will go for wireless g pro x, I just love the premium feel, also feel a lil betrayed by steelseries (rn i have arctis 7 wireless and i can see points of planned obsolescence that piss me off)
Sadly a lot of companies do things to intentionally handicap products overtime to push future sales which is not cool.
Hello, nice video! I have a question, Did you notice by chance if as soon as you wear the headphones, the right headphone looks more isolated than the left one? I just bought this headset and online I can't find anyone complaining about this annoyance, while I notice it a lot wearing them.
Sounds like there might be something wrong with your pair which headset are you referring to also check if your sidetone is on or off
@@IAmVehement what do you mean by sidetone? at the moment I have requested a replacement of the headphones hoping that the problem will be solved, I still think it is a defect, also because I think that 180 euro headphones should not have a defect like this.
With defects it could happen to anything no matter the price. However I'm not sure what you mean by isolating so I'm wondering if your mic is playing the audio around you through sidetone. Sidetone is when the mic on the headset feeds you either yourself talking or the surroundings around you. That way when you voice chatting you can hear yourself. Otherwise it's bad contact with the earcups. Which headset did you buy?
@@IAmVehement ahh okay, the sidetone is disabled, i cant ear myself from the mic, i bought the steelseries
Try muting the mic on the headset put the button into mute mode see if it helps
Does steelseries nova 7 works the same for ipad pro?
Idk if the wireless dongle works on ipad but you can use it wired and over Bluetooth on ipad

I haven't used the arctis pro but there probably similar to the nova 7 and I'd def say the nova for valorant

Nova 7 aren't even a year old and I've only had em a few months but the 7 and 7x are basically the same headset but from what I understand the difference is just the guarantee they will work on Xbox I don't have an Xbox so I couldn't test the regular nova 7 on one

So I used the wired version so I honestly don't have any latency data due to being wired

My wired g pro x died after 1.5 of usage. All sound channels is dead somehow,only mono Channel. and i cant hear voices while listening music, only dull music. Now i want to buy arctis nova 7. Sorry For my bad england
I think the nova 7 is a great replacement for the g pro x just keep in mind the nova 7 have less bass in the very low bass but still have pretty good bass response the nova 7 are still my number 1 favorite sounding headset I've used that's not audiophile grade stuff

For me the nova 7 but if you want a bit more bass the g pro x have more bass with 80% of the clarity

@@PlayerPlaysHard i think if your an audiophile you will find the lack of clarity more noticeable on the g pro x then someone thats not. I like both headsets but if im going to give you overall for an audiophile then the nova 7 but you should check out the epos ones everyone talks about ive not used them personally so i cant give an opinion on them.

@@mayconalves7004 havent tried the g pro x 2 but with these two here id say the nova 7 are better for competitive they pick up footsteps and directional and distance awareness much better then the g pro x 1 i have heard the pro x 2 is much better but ive not tried it. there also way more expensive unless your looking at the nova pro its not a great comparison between nova 7 and pro x 2
I'm Replacing Nova 1 (Which broke at the swivel part to the earcup) with a PRO X. Waiting for delivery, using my other pair of Nova 1 to watch this video. (Yes, had two pairs) Honestly, hard to beat for comfort and sound, let's see how the Logitech PRO X are really like. I'm getting them at half price, so.

@@IAmVehement EBAY they wanted 50 plus 10 for shipping. But knocked down to 40 + 10 shipping. Also the Standard model for 45. We'll see. Kind of used the Nova 1 for the size and comfort, though. And Sound.

I've not used the nova pro headset but I do prefer the nova 7 over pro x

Nova 7 if you wanna look at pure value
- it's wireless
-sounds great
-can be used wired
-console and PC friendly
-great software
However Logitech is great too
-almost as good sound
-great PC software
But I think the nova 7 are just a better value

oh man, cant believe the timing of this video, i’m debating exactly between these two headsets since my hyperx cloud stinger s broke.
both of them are on sale at the moment which makes the decision harder.
i loved my old hyperx ones- they were my first headset but the only thing that bothered me was the cable which i kept tripping on (that’s how it broke)
i mainly play valorant and i’m planning on streaming on twitch. i’ve done a lot of research on tons of headsets- wireless & wired and i still can’t decide what to go for. what matters to me most is comfort & sound quality since i will be getting a separate mic in the future.
would appreciate your opinion on which pair u think would be better for me?

I answered your message on stream but I still stand by the fact you should go with g pro x for competitive gaming or the Corsair hs80 if you need a great mic as well they both have great sound quality and directional awareness basically if you need a mic for streaming I'd say Corsair but if you rather a more accurate sound the g pro x is best also the g pro x has sooo much customization for the mic but the Corsair also has just as much sound EQ stuff
I’ve been watching a lot of reviews when it comes to headsets and I can’t really decide on which headset to go for as I also face 1 problem.
I don’t have access to any software because I don’t have a PC..
I really want a headset that sounds amazing compared to my 3D Sony pulse headset for both gaming and watching movies while still having a decent mic.
What headset would you recommend me to use fresh out of the package without tuning settings and all that stuff (It can be a different headset than from this video too)
Out of every single headset I've ever tried sound wise my favorite is the nova 7 headset second favorite is the g pro x 3td favorite is Blackshark v2 pro 2023.
I think that the nova 7 sound best right out of the box and has everything you need to adjust right on the headset. Headset volume mic mute and game chat mix.
@@IAmVehementThank you so much for your reply! You and a friend of mine have decided the headset for me! I’ve heard people say that the headset could shut off at times when you use it on PC. Would this happen on Playstation as well? I don’t have the PC to turn off that option sadly
I've never had issues with it shutting off but when the battery on mine gets low it distorts pretty bad but from all my research it seems to only be my headset.
Just bought the steel series nova 7 for my PS5 and agree footsteps are great never have a problem hearing which direction they are coming from but also add can hear gunshots and explosions in which direction , I have come from Turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 both very comfy but probably like the logitech the bass on the turtle beach sometimes drowns out the foot steps or direction up and down. I still own the TB but wanted a back up for TB due to issues with lost power couldn't switch them on had to connect to laptop and try and restore them. Only good thing the TB had over the SS is the iPhone app you can adjust the EQ on the go ( I have had issue once the power went and I messed about with the update it no longer connected to the app so had to do a full recovery mode to the TB ) whilst the SS you have to connect to Laptop and save the EQ to the headset wish SS would do a mobile app that could save EQ on the go other then that the SS will be my goto headset

strange, I found nova 7 to be very uncomfortable
In this comparison they were the more comfortable pair and I do find them to be decent comfort wise but there definitely not top tier comfort but compared to a lot of headsets there pretty good

How you gonna just gloss over that mic test. The Nova mic was horrendous. Quite a biased review
I glossed over it not because I'm excusing it cause it's not a good mic. I prefer to give you the mic test to draw your own conclusion.
