This must have taken an unbelievable amount of time to test, record, quantify and then get together and recap. Not easy doing something like this - thank you to all involved!
I test drove all these trucks except the Chevy prior to purchase. My ‘19 Laramie Longhorn is just gorgeous!Inside and out I just can’t stop looking at the details they put into it. The highway ride is second to none and that air suspension is so handy for loading stuff. I didn’t buy my truck to drag race, that I do in my Mustang. So I f it takes me an extra 1/2 second to get to 60 I don’t GAF. I’m doing it in luxury.
JMO , Been a long time GM owner , my 2004 Z71 LT was a good truck dependable , pulled my camper no problem even when it had over 100,000 on it . Then I purchased the GMC industrial grade 1500 DENALI with the 6.2 which I plan on using to occasionally pull my camper to the beach , not such a great truck . Due to a event that nearly cost me my life , wasn't able to go thru all the camper hookups and setups , so I never got to pull anything with it . At around 32 / 33 thousand miles front Trans Axle blew out , after repair had to return it another 3 times to get the Trans Fluid to stop leaking all over my paved Drive way ( they tried to fix it cheaply and finally had to do it right ( GM at their best ) . During this time period the Stability Traction light Alert started coming on then go off . They said it due to the Trans Axle problem and the repair would fix it , it didn't and they wanted another 3 to 4 hundred it replace the faulty senor . I have 36,000 on it now , dash has already cracked , Specialty wheels that came on it are peeling off chrome like paint on a old cheaply painted house . My GMC industrial grade Truck hasn't done a decent days work in its life , less you call work driving to town and Dr appointments work ( my 1999 jeep wrangler can do that with no problem ) . Up to about 30,000 miles or so I enjoyed owning my GMC , but when they start falling apart at that mileage that is pathetic . Its hit or miss now with GM products , I will never buy another . GM lost a loyal customer , not going to continue fight with them about fixing it because warranty is out , but BUYER BE WEAR .
This was pretty funny actually. Having owned 3 of the trucks myself and driven 4 of them, I couldn’t believe how biased the reviews were. The one guy referred to the ford as a weekend warrior for towing. That truck handles the weight the best out of all of them. The interior hasn’t been changed since 2015 and it still is nicer than the new GM. The GM is the last truck I’d pick of the group. It just feels cheap, not to mention they’ve managed to make the truck even uglier than ever.
The problem with the 6.2 is that you can't get that on the work truck or middle of the road truck. You have to go to the luxury trims to get it... the 5.3 is weak.
Why do you say the 5.3 is weak? It’s been a proven motor and more than adequate for the working man....since trucks are supposed to be made for work not running kids to soccer practice....who in the hell needs a 8 in. screen in a truck!?
Joshua Shaw/ True about being behind on hp/torque but it still way more than the 5.3 generations of past. I’m not a brand guy by any means had a 13 F150 with a 3.5 eco and now have a 10 Silverado with a 5.3. I was more impressed with the Silverado as a whole package of a “truck”. Yes the 3.5 has more power but have done everything in the Chevy with just as much confidence with much less “power”
They're so close but the Ram just stands out for me for interior. You spend a hell of a lot of time inside your truck especially having a family like me. RAM wins hands down for me personally.
I think this review shows why you can't look at stats. The braking notes were very valuable and good insight showing that confidence and feel in brakes is as important as stopping distance. Most of these will be lifted and slowing down the left lane of the expressway anyways so stats are not everything.
Short story here is; if you’re not maxing out capabilities, Ram wins. If you’re maxing out capabilities, it’s time to move up to a heavy duty and get a Ram. It’s the drivers choice, end of story. I converted five years ago and from everything I’ve seen I won’t be changing. UConnect functionality, comfort, looks..., just a great package. If you’re worried about acceleration get a corvette, these are pick-ups.
D Jay T , that was the case regarding premium. That being said, my experience among colleagues regarding mpg is Ram’s hemi seems to do better than than ford’s turbo 6. Not sure if premium is still necessary on this gen. Also, I don’t have feedback regarding Ford’s 10 speed.
Billy Smith yea I have a 14’ outdoorsman and I love my truck. Loved my Fords too but overall the Ram is a great experience. The interior on the new Ram is fantastic
How first things first 5.3 or 6.2 will both out run and tow better than the hemi second z71 better in the mud the only thing the ram has on gm trucks is the inside and even that belongs inside of a car and last while I'm still driving my chevy 3 or 4 years down the road that piece of shit will be parked under a tree with the motor or trans gone it's really like gm is a cat and ram is less than a john Deere lol
Jonathan Hatten so not true- not even close. I traded in a 2015 Denali with the 6.2 on the 19 Ram. No comparison. The Ram kills it even with the smaller 5.7 and 87 octane fuel vs the 93 in the Denali. Ram just rows better, more stable and waaaaaaay better brakes. These guys must have had air in the lines from the recent parole who built it (my only issue with Ram). The brakes on my 19 are too powerful. They easily overload the tires if pressed but they are the largest in class. The Ford has the best power train hands down. I had a gen 1 eco boost which is crappy compared to the gen 2 version and they are strong
I used to be gm. But those interiors are not a nice place to be. And the back seat is the worst part. I wanted a 6.2. But i pick up my Laramie tomorrow
Nick, I had a 6.2 GM with the 8 speed and I have a 19 Laramie now. I know the 19 GMs are different, but my 19 Ram is in every aspect better then any truck ive owned. Also unsure how the dyno numbers were done, because honestly my Rams don't feel far off from the 6.2 GMs. I used to be a GM guy but the new Ram is by far the best truck money can buy right now.
Im going with the ram, I own a trailer park and it will do ever thing I need to do. In fact most of them will, but as a single father, the interior is what sold me. It has all those bells and whistles to keep my kid entertained and those rear reclining seats. YES PLEASE. But if I was just getting a work truck, I would go ford
Not impressed with gm this time around. GM will always take out features for new gen over previous. No cd player, no adjustable pedals, less center console storage etc. As a longtime gm guy ram is my choice.
My only issue is that the Gm that one 6.2 with 10 speed is only available in the higher trim level . The 5.3 is the one that everyone gets and you can’t get the 10 speed . If Gm brought the 5.3 it wouldn’t have done as well
That's right! Things are different when they're not testing in Colorado at a mile above sea level! I like TFL Truck but the Ford gets the advantage with them all too often and its annoying.
I dont think they're 0-60 times are accurate. The F-150 is quicker than all of these. TFL has their table and even at altitude the f150 still outpaced the 0-60 time of the GM trucks by over half a second. They eve did a drag race and its on their channel of them and theres plenty other videos showing the same results
TFL does all their testing above 7000 feet elevation. That's a minimum of 25% loss in power for the non turbo engines. That's why the ecoboost does so well in their tests. The 5L Coyote is quicker than the eco at sea level.
@@timcartwright4679 They test at a mile above sea level. That's just a bit ober 5000 ft, if the tests were done at 7000 ft the F150 would increase its performance advantage even further.
I bought a 2017 z71 Silverado after hurricane Harvey. And I can honestly say I love this truck. But had the 2019 ram come out. I would have gotten that instead. I test drove several different trucks before I made my decision. The deciding factor for me was comfort .... but I recently had the chance to drive the new ram and holy shit is that truck amazing. I completely agree with you guys having picked the ram as your personal favorites
Well how would it have been if GM would have sent a Denali version of the Sierra half ton probably hands down. Didn't see the Tundra that's built in Indiana , that 1794 edition is extremely nice on the inside.
Everything I have a Laramie level 2 equip group stickers at 59k, sell price of 50 and it’s everything you get in a limited minus a few details. My wife has a 2019!BMW and thinks my Ram truck is a far better ride and quality.
@@TheRays0852 My wife has a Mercedes GL450 (her dream car). It definitely rides nicer and handles better but many things about it stink. MPG is a joke at 13mpg and needs premium. Merc. Infotainment/Bluetooth/NAV... etc. is far behind in quality and ease of use. My RAM has the 8.4 Uconnect/Alpine and works flawlessly. Also, night driving is much better in the RAM. One button turns the 8.4 screen off to reduce ambient distracting light and dash light is easily dimmed as well. The Merc. requires ridiculous searching using the their control knob on the arm rest. It's not even a touch screen. The tech in my point of view is junk on the GL450 compared to RAM and it stickered for damn near double.
Ford F-150 4wd. Can never go wrong folks! Older design of group yet most high tech still. Ecoboost twin turbo GDI gen2 motors. Proven. All Alum alloy body. Proven. Reliability. Proven in spades!
The Ecoboost is complete PROVEN piece of shit....even the Gen 2. I will agree the 5 liter is a great engine for the F-150 and my only choice at this point. The large Powerstroke is great too in the Super Dutys, but it isn't built by Ford and who can afford it? I don't want to pay more for a truck than I did for my first house
Fanboys come about cause of all the bashing. Gets tiring having to defend one's choice of a truck that performs exceptionally well yet gets called crap despite doing its job. Shit gets old. I don't even get why people bash each other's choice to buy a dodge or ford or chevy either when again competition is exactly what drives improvement. Would be nice to see more love than hate and more of a push to innovate.
I’ve had a ‘12 Durango V6, a 13’ grand Cherokee overland V6, a14 Ram Laramie hemi, a ‘15 Durango Citadel V6, and now a ‘19 Ram Longhorn Hemi e-torque. Never a single problem with any of them. Am I just lucky? I don’t know, but I just changed the fluids regularly. If you asked me 10 years ago I would have told you that I would never own a Chrysler, but that 2012 Durango really changed my mind and I’ve been extremely happy with all those vehicles.
I was looking for a pick up truck because I live in Houston and the streets flood here all the time whenever it rains hard. A little background; I am NOT a pick up person at all. I have a sports sedan doing sub 5 seconds to 60 and my previous car was a Corvette C6. Keep this in mind; I do not tow nor care much about payload since I am mainly buying the truck to deal with water. I do care about reliability, comfort and speed. I test drove the Ram Limited, Ram Rebel, GMC Denali, GMC AT4 and the F150 Limited. With this in mind these were my thoughts of the trucks I have test driven. 2019 both Ram had the best interior. Both had the 5.7 hemi and I found the power to be the weakest, even though it was adequate, but slowest of the 3 brands nonetheless. The ride was very good on the limited and on the rebel it wasn’t bad neither. I did really like how much usable space their interiors had. I did not find the limited to be an attractive truck, but I love how the rebel looks, but to surround view on it was bad. 2019 GMC both had the 6.2 their interiors after their major redesign on 19 needs to be much better. They need to use better materials in the cabin, especially on the Denali. On local roads the ride was fine, but on the freeway I felt the rear no being too stable and it made my wife carsick. The AT4 ride was a bit better. On the other hand, the 6.2 was just awesome. I know that it wasn’t the fastest compared to the high output ecoboost from ford, but it felt awesome. Instant thrust, no lag and provided acceleration that I can feel. It doesn’t push me back into the seat, but still fast. I also loved how the Denali looked. The deal killer was the freeway ride. My wife couldn’t stand it. 2019 F150 Limited with the 3.5 high output engine from the raptor was the fastest, but it wasn’t as pleasant as the 6.2. The ford had some minor turbo lag and it didn’t sound as good as the 6.2. The interior was okay, but it was better with the Limited interior. The cameras could be of higher resolution, but this is an older technology unlike the other 2 which were redesigned in 2019, so I didn’t fault it as much. The highway ride was excellent, but on normal city roads it was okay. I like how the truck looked too. Now, on the hot topic of reliability. I don’t have any problems with GM or Ford but I was doubtful about Ram, so I did some research and asked around. Ram seemed to have many reliability problems. I was able to get in touch with a friend who is a mechanic for an unnamed state agency and he told me that they use many Rams and they are not reliable at all with lots of problems, while the other 2 brands were okay. So, no Ram, which left me with a single choice, the 2019 Ford F-150 Limited which I now own. I did struggle with the choice because it was about 5-6k more expensive than the Denali. Well, that was my choice and thoughts based on a sports sedan owner that doesn’t need to tow. If only Ram had better reliability....
I got the best deal out of all this discussion. 2013 F150 Lariat Super Crew, 5.0, 6 speed auto and I'm the 2nd owner. Best of all it has less than 50k miles on it and the price was reasonable.
To me if it tows good and interior is comfortable then that truck is the winner for me so I guess the Ram!!! I do not do 1/4 mile racing with my pickup
Rams longhorn Brown interior is the best imo. So nice. Besides that I think the truck looks soft and not as manly as the last design. Fords interior is just blah. Bottom of the barrel materials. While GM didn't do much to change theirs they did give their customers what they asked for but it could have been better for sure.
Great review. The Titan clearly holds its own. It's a good all around ride, comfortable. it just doens't get enough credit where credit is due. The ram interior is gorgeous but because it's dodge fiat I wonder how long the interior will last. Quality has always been rams downfall both interior and longevity. It out of all five manufacturers rates the worst in reliability. I'm not surprised the gm won. Over all it's a great truck but that interior could be better, actually a lot better. The Ford's are decent as well.
C Steele.....If you look at the quality of the materials in the Ram, you will see they are very HIGH QUALITY compared to the other trucks. WARDS rates the RAM at the very top when it comes to QUALITY materials! Ram has set the bar for interiors in trucks! Check it out...............
@@1gr8oilNew the materials look nice, but their longevity as in past trucks just don't hold up. Maybe this new model will be different. I've been the auto biz for 20 years, seen many a ram ford dodge come thru the lot, the rams always look worse for wear compared to similar model years of other trade ins. that's just my view on my first hand experience. I personally wouldn't touch one.
@@chadsteele1 Yo C Steele, as my search for a new truck continues, I'm seeing you all over Titan-related vids haha. Don't you have one and how is it holding up?
C Steele I have a Ram with 305,000 miles. Only had to put a new rear axle in it at 260,000 when the spider gears blew. Cost per mile, the Ram has done better than my Toyota, Chevy, and WAY better than my dad's Fords ever did.
Ram may have a fancy interior in the Limited, but the in-dash screen on a base truck is pathetically small, compared to the 7" screen in the Sierra, which also gives you Apple Car Play and Android auto.
The in-dash screen in the base Ford trims is also small, but at least that truck isn't all new. If RAM hangs on this generation as long as it did on the last one then too bad for those base trims...
That particular Ram should be called a “pickup car”. The 1100 lb payload is pathetic for a truck. The bed almost looks shorter than the cab. A truck like that is good for a daily driver I guess, but it really frustrates me since trucks should be phenomenal at overall utility, and that truck lacks a lot of utility. To qualify myself, I do like the Ram when it’s configured differently.
I love the Ram. They should have had a Toyota in the bunch though instead of two GM trucks. The GM truck pulls ahead on the score sheet simply due to the 6.2L engine. It's the biggest and most capable V8 in the class and you will notice it when pushing the limits of these trucks. The extra power will help the 0-60 numbers and the max towing numbers. Lastly the Ford Ecoboost is in a class by itself. No other V6 engine could compete with these V8 trucks. It's a groundbreaking engine for its time.
I like the GMC but for me it's the Ram...the deal breaker for me on the Sierra is the issue of not having Adaptive Cruise Control..that's insane it doesn't have that...I go with Ram Just on that Factor
I am slightly disappointed that their is no Tundra, but it’s not “new” enough i guess. Im also not understanding why their are 2 chevy’s. I know they are different, but they are virtually identical. Another thing that’s strange to me is the absence of base model vehicles. They are all $50k and up.
The GMs used the 6.2L that is not a typical off the lot motor like the others. Try finding one the way you like it. And the 6.2L needs higher octane fuel. they should have used the 5.3L
Could you explain the mechanical differences between the GMC and the Chevy? Obviously the tailgate is different, but why the difference between 1st and 3rd. Would really like to understand it...
Motor trend tested the new RAM at 6.1 seconds for 0-60. It's really hard for me to take the numbers that these guys provided seriously. TFL raced the 6.2 Sierra vs a 5.7 Ram and it was very close. There is no way there is a 1 second difference between these trucks if all settings are the same(track, tires, traction control, manual-shift, etc).
They are about $1700 over the price of a 5.3 and come in a lot of trims of the Sierra and Silverado, but the best way is by ordering the option , comes only with the smaller gearing 3.23
I like how these reviews are about the interior, how it rides when unloaded and so on. It’s a damn truck. If we’re comparing what trucks are meant to do, it would be f150, ram, gm/Chevy (they’re the same thing people come on) then titan.
Did anyone notice the RAM payload numbers were horrible compared to the other trucks. Is it because it's a limited with all the options? If they had a ford limited, I wonder what it's payload would be
The Ram limited does push curb weight very high making it the 2nd heaviest truck. In MT weight was well over 5800lbs. I think that's why some say it's more a suv at this higher trim level. Ford eco can be optioned with various packages. It seems Ford chose to not bring their better packages. If they did payload would be around 3230.
I had an F150 , a 2016, and I agree with most of your observations. The GM Denali interior was dated then and still used keys wth lol, and they still don’t get that the market today is interior competitive when across the board everything outside being equal ! The F150 was down 50 hp over the 6.2 engine and gets better gas mileage cross country tris with better technology?! I drove them !
WOW, you love the "SPORT SOUND" in the Ford? I don't need to listen to anything else from this review. Nothing you guys say after that is worth listening to. Your opinion though.
Go back 5 or 10 years for each truck and look at the customer reviews on them to determine which one is the better truck. The Chevrolet and GMC aren't being recalled at the rate of the others.
good review i think the f150 goes to show that its still on top with that v6 compared to the gm big engine that most consumers will not buy or cant afford gm stil sales 5.3 more than the 6.2
Pricing is the great equalizer. I can buy a Titan Pro4x, the second highest trim level, for 45-50K CAD. The most comparable Ram - the Rebel, is $60-65K. Yes, the Ram has a more luxurious interior, but is it worth an extra $20K? I don't think so. The Titan is far more capable than my needs demand, and $20K for more flashy plastic is a hard sell.
I really like the Ram, but Ram is always dead last in build quality and long term reliability. The Ram looks beautiful now, but I'm afraid it wont stand up as well as Ford and GM.
Just started watching, don't know their decision, but I personally would stick with the Ford, as long as it could stay without the turbo engine (Coyote V8 would be fine).
Im a ram guy but can agree with the reviews. Driver choice goes to ram but when you compare the 5.7 against a 6.2 and 3.5 EB the numbers are going to say a different story especially having 2 less gears too. I do think the Nissan and ram are very close in the performance. I do beleve that ram will be putting a higher hp engine in there trucks within rhe next 2 years, infact ill bet money on it.
Reliability, cost of ownership for manufacturer recommendations and how good is the factory rust proofing.. These are my concerns as well best bang for the buck.. Brand loyalty doesn't pay, it's still gambling on a loto. Win.
I personally take liking to the ram and titan (ford is also good, im not particular on the ecoboost respectively). As it stands currently, theyre the only half ton trucks offering a turbodiesel variant (you could probably price a basic-ish model for around $40k) and ford will get theirs out soon enough. All these trucks are proven in their capabilities, it just comes down to preference. My dad (being chevy all the way) would take either the silverado or sierra if he could afford it, I do like the multipurpose tailgate on the gmcs :)
Ram best interior. Nissan overall best best reliability of them all. Tundra reliability king. No fiat, gm quality issues, Ford ok mostly. My personal choice 1) Toyota 2) Nissan 3) Ford
I've been saying that forever as well! @RamTrucks needs to stick a 6.4 Hemi in that thing! And hopefully the numbers would be close to that of the SRT performance cars at 485HP and 475 lb-ft. of torque! I can just imagine it, it would definitely blow the 6.2 and even the 3.5EB away no doubt.
The 6.4 is a tank and not in all good ways. Way to heavy and thirsty for a 1500. Tows like a train but there is a reason it isn't in the 1500. Now if they went with a 6.4 aluminum with an e-tq system I bet that would be a great choice. I'm talking about the engine in the 2500s. The car engine have a different setup. Like the 6.2 in gms cars and trucks. The trucks has to have less power just so it doesn't blow while towing. Its tuned different is what I'm saying tuned to move heavy over tuned to move fast. If that makes sense. Hard to explain here lol
Wow, that RAM is really nice as long as you lease or have it under warranty. Lots of things to go sideways after a couple of years past 5. I’m still in sticker shock with the price of modern trucks, true luxury vehicles with a bed. How does the average person afford one of these?
They use the fact of Nissan not having the same amount of gears as an excuse, where in any other truck it would have been a moment to point out it being a weakness.
Pretty hard to take a truck of the year competition seriously if you don’t have the swing to pull comparable trim levels from the manufacturers. Comparing track performance between luxury and non luxury trim levels with different rear gears is pure amateur hour.
The test it’s not fair:( GMC lowest class the RAM heist Nissan Off road package ford test truck the three-quarter ton frame with a half ton TRUCK & the mirrors it’s special ordered LOL I think this guys don’t right from left:( when you test supposed to get all the same class LOL
That basically sums up most Toyota fanboys- way too biased. But of course, I'm not saying the Tundra is a bad truck, even being a Mopar guy, I like it.
Except for the MPG and fancy electrical gadgets, the Tundra still competes with these other trucks. 12 yrs ago, the Tundra did better than all these other trucks. Still love my '16 Crewmax Limited TRD Tundra. Tundra still most reliable & holds its value best compared to these other trucks.….yup did my research....
As a Tundra owner I know how my truck fits in... Don't need them to justify my purchase. If Toyota wants to be included they need to step up and make changes it's not enough to rest on your laurels...
I would love to buy a RAM but every Dodge I have ever owned has been a total turd reliability wise after about 3 years have to split the difference and get the 470tq, 19mpg ford that still comes with adjustable drive pedals etc for the wife so we can both be happy.
This must have taken an unbelievable amount of time to test, record, quantify and then get together and recap. Not easy doing something like this - thank you to all involved!
Our comparison tests are a lot of work but it's always worth it. Thanks for watching Riyad!
Great observation. It's too easy to fan boy out and bash others. Nice positive outlook
I agree. Thoughtful analysis, and great footage and editing. And some pleasant music.
Had my 18 Titan Pro4X for a little over a year and 30k miles now, literally not one complaint. So happy with my choice.
I always go for the underdog. So I’ll go for the Titan. But man I do love that Ram though. That’s a gorgeous truck.
ivorton23 Titan is probably the best truck in the group, I’ll take the Titan reliability with the Ram interior.

Damn right long live the ram
Comfort, functionality and more than enough towing capability for me. I’ll take the RAM. I have a ‘17 Laramie 1500 and love my truck.
Billy Smith yea I have a 14’ outdoorsman and I love my truck. Loved my Fords too but overall the Ram is a great experience. The interior on the new Ram is fantastic
Ram has offers the best truck money can buy right now. It has no compromises what so ever
They are also the cheapest lol
And it’s safety ratings are lower than most
Andrew Mendoza besides quality and terrible resale value, it’s great!
Yeah the ram is the better choice for grocery getters
Wise choise, you wont regret it one bit. All of these GM fan girls are hating
Fiat Garbage, so sad ! Support the Italians , that will most definitely make America great again !!!
ITSALLGOOD 74 hmm. Built in Michigan. My Laramie is better than all the Fords i test drove.
GM for the win. It's different not testing them a mile above sea level
If Gm brought the 5.3 it wouldn’t have done as well
@@jeremymvail You can get the 6.2 in mid trim, well just above. The At4 is not a high trim. Though the sucker isn't cheap.
That's right! Things are different when they're not testing in Colorado at a mile above sea level! I like TFL Truck but the Ford gets the advantage with them all too often and its annoying.
R C the AT4 is a very high trim. It is based off an SLT. And then it adds more features so it’s only 2nd to Denali
@@timcartwright4679
They test at a mile above sea level. That's just a bit ober 5000 ft, if the tests were done at 7000 ft the F150 would increase its performance advantage even further.
Altitude would help the turbo engine over the n/a...
the ecoboost wins anywhere. Thought everyone new that...lol
@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKS
not here it didn't
Where’s the Tundra?
Hehe it’s clearly not one of the best half tons
Truck of the year ram
As a gm guy I agree. Especially with e-tq
Most likely.
That 6.2l is a beast
What is the most reliable pick-up? Ram interior is the best but fiat chrysler is always worst in reliability.
It's got a HEMI and a ZF 8 Speed. I don't see the drivetrain braking down any sooner than Chrysler's own built transmissions.
Very true , lipstick on a pig !
@@itsallgood7483 on a ram, dum dum
I’ve had a ‘12 Durango V6, a 13’ grand Cherokee overland V6, a14 Ram Laramie hemi, a ‘15 Durango Citadel V6, and now a ‘19 Ram Longhorn Hemi e-torque. Never a single problem with any of them. Am I just lucky? I don’t know, but I just changed the fluids regularly. If you asked me 10 years ago I would have told you that I would never own a Chrysler, but that 2012 Durango really changed my mind and I’ve been extremely happy with all those vehicles.
I go for the Titan behind is the F150 and now Ram.
The Titan is the least popular truck out there. You’re clueless.
The Nissan Titan Platinum should have been the test vehicle IMO. Also, why test 2 GM vics and pretend like Toyota doesn't exist?
I got the best deal out of all this discussion.
2013 F150 Lariat Super Crew, 5.0, 6 speed auto and I'm the 2nd owner. Best of all it has less than 50k miles on it and the price was reasonable.
Why is reliability rarely addressed by RUclips truck reviews despite it is relevant to everyone looking to buy? Please include that in your reviews.
I must be alone in not liking the TV Screen in the Ram? Looks out of place.
I personally don't like it and its super buggy
To me if it tows good and interior is comfortable then that truck is the winner for me so I guess the Ram!!! I do not do 1/4 mile racing with my pickup
Gm will tow better
@@jonathanhatten1605 no it won't not with the Rams air suspension option
You forgot to test the truck with the highest reliability rating and highest resale value in this class.....the Tundra....
I hope you guys know the ford gets that sound from the sound system inside the truck😂
who gives a fuck
That’s sad tbh
Rams longhorn Brown interior is the best imo. So nice. Besides that I think the truck looks soft and not as manly as the last design. Fords interior is just blah. Bottom of the barrel materials. While GM didn't do much to change theirs they did give their customers what they asked for but it could have been better for sure.
Have you seen the limited or king ranch interior in the F-150
william davis yeah and its ugly as fuck 😂😂😂
Tundra got them worried and off the guest list!
Come on Ram put that 392 V8 in the Ram...

The Rebel TRX is/was supposed to have a supercharged 6.2, if that's any consolation.

Fromthefuture,
Finally. A guy that speaks in numbers an old fart can understand.
I have a F 150 but I'm thinking about going RAM. Thanks for the test!
Good god you’re a dumbass.😂
Hehe try the titan u won’t regret it
Great video. It's obvious you all spent time and effort with your comparisons. Keep it coming and thank you!
How did they score off road ? Apparently thats not important but track tests are
Great review.
The 14-18 breaks were trash at slow speeds especially backing up its wonky the ECU may have an update
I agree, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado High Country could've done a lot better with their interior. As well as their other trim levels.
Real country
They are all $50k and up.
if you want a tundra go look back 10 years and also its not up too par with the big three and would probably come dead last behind the titan..lmao
Toyota trucks are garbage just like Nissan trucks I wish them to companies would just do us all a favor quit making trucks they suck at it
Allen Stuck Have you had the chance to drive a Tundra, or Titan?
I wouldn't waste my money or waste my time
Real country
The GMs used the 6.2L that is not a typical off the lot motor like the others. Try finding one the way you like it. And the 6.2L needs higher octane fuel. they should have used the 5.3L
Love the new Ram, Chevy is great on the outside, last 2 Ford’s I owned completely burned that bridge, yes where is the Tundra?
Could you explain the mechanical differences between the GMC and the Chevy? Obviously the tailgate is different, but why the difference between 1st and 3rd. Would really like to understand it...
Motor trend tested the new RAM at 6.1 seconds for 0-60. It's really hard for me to take the numbers that these guys provided seriously. TFL raced the 6.2 Sierra vs a 5.7 Ram and it was very close. There is no way there is a 1 second difference between these trucks if all settings are the same(track, tires, traction control, manual-shift, etc).
And the Titan beat the GM 6.2 but the hemi edged out the titan.
If GM sold 100 crew cab 4x4s,,,,how many out of that 100 would be 6.2.? I dont think they are a common motor...at least I didnt think so.
They are about $1700 over the price of a 5.3 and come in a lot of trims of the Sierra and Silverado, but the best way is by ordering the option , comes only with the smaller gearing 3.23
I'd say 80% of GM trucks are the 5.3l
Why do these reviews never include the Tundra ? I'm just curious, not taking anything from any of them. I think they are all pretty good now days.
GMC,Chevy,Titan,Ford and Ram for me
Rica no one cares what you think pussy 😂😂😂
I had an F150 , a 2016, and I agree with most of your observations. The GM Denali interior was dated then and still used keys wth lol, and they still don’t get that the market today is interior competitive when across the board everything outside being equal ! The F150 was down 50 hp over the 6.2 engine and gets better gas mileage cross country tris with better technology?! I drove them !
Tundra didn’t even make the final list 😂😂😂.
I’m a Ford fan and even I ask where is the Tundra?
TRD is short for 'turd'!
WOW, you love the "SPORT SOUND" in the Ford? I don't need to listen to anything else from this review. Nothing you guys say after that is worth listening to. Your opinion though.
Everybody loves that sound.
@@tommytruth7595 ecoboost sounds like crap, that's the common opinion.
sad you can't get a premuim optioned regular cab truck and 8ft boxes are becoming extinct.
Go back 5 or 10 years for each truck and look at the customer reviews on them to determine which one is the better truck. The Chevrolet and GMC aren't being recalled at the rate of the others.
good review i think the f150 goes to show that its still on top with that v6 compared to the gm big engine that most consumers will not buy or cant afford gm stil sales 5.3 more than the 6.2
What axle the dodge had?
F150,Ram,Titan ,Sierra ,Silverado for me
Pricing is the great equalizer.
Check out the Titan Lemon owners group on Facebook before you buy. They are truthful about their experiences.
Interesting how the Ram is the only truck Limited and packed to the gills, why is that?
If they do it will be a Ram Sport. Ramboys want a Demon Ram or Hellcat Ram with cab options! Ram give us more power! GM & Ford are laughing!
Reliability, cost of ownership for manufacturer recommendations and how good is the factory rust proofing..
These are my concerns as well best bang for the buck..
Brand loyalty doesn't pay, it's still gambling on a loto. Win.
Did you guys use an etorque hemi or standard hemi ?!

@@jakey20022 No difference in performance times with or without going by the tests I have seen.
That tailgate is gonna hit the towball almost everytime when fully deployed. Great idea imo, but terrible execution
Ram best interior. Nissan overall best best reliability of them all. Tundra reliability king. No fiat, gm quality issues, Ford ok mostly. My personal choice 1) Toyota 2) Nissan 3) Ford
Have they completely forgot about the toughest, most reliable and best resale value Tundra, like really? Not even top 5... give me a break
Why did you not have the Ram equipped with the e-torque for the performance comparisons? Ram would have scored better against the other trucks.
How can you say its a best of 2018?! When 3 of the 5 is literally a brand new 2019 model? There must be something im missing.
I would def pick the GM of these, but tbh, once next gen Tundra comes out... I'll probably go for that. Toyota reliability over everything.

They were only comparing real trucks in this video... tundra and Titans are for hauling kayaks and bicycles.
They decided not to test 2007 models... Tundra and Atari kinda go together

With the eco diesel coming back, and two new v8s coming to the ram 1500 it will be interesting where it will stack against the competition.
Where is the Toyota tundra TRD V8 ?
