My SG Starscream hasn't yellowed at all yet, I've had him in a shady spot on my shelf and he's had no exposure to sunlight. I'm so glad I watched this video. It sucks that this is an issue, I really like the way he looks. I don't think MP-52 is that bad. My only problem with it is fear of paint chipping but other than that its been fine for me.
Great worst review of 2021. I'm looking forward to your best of 2021. Waiting to see if planet X starsaber makes it on there. And to see if any iron factory ones make it. I hope the move went well and your doing ok. Thanks for all the great reviews keep up the amazing work!!!
Wait. So what's wrong with the current MP line? You talked about how much you hated it. I think this is the first video I've seen that bashes it. Others I've seen praise the hell out of them.
At the time this video came out, MP was making figures more and more toon accurate at the cost of worse and worse engineering. My review in MP52 Starscream encapsulates that period of time, MP wise, pretty well
@@DrLockdown It was refreshing to hear that. They do look nice. I kind of wish that they had started out like that but for me it was the cheating with faux parts, over engineering, and the PRICE. Also the sudden shift in style. I already have my old MP collection. I wasn't going to start over with a NEW line of MP figures that now clash with the aesthetics of the old one and also cost a whole lot more. I like me old MP figures. I'll check out your MP52 video.
Netflix Bee was my first exposure to the mold and I love him. I now own Buzzworthy Cliffjumper, and unfortunately mine got hit with the QC hammer so he isn’t as solid as Bee
I'd love to have the maverick mold, only for the purpose of repainting it. I think the mold itself is amazing, that jet mode is fire and the robot has a macross quality to it, but the plastic and colors are.... ugly. I know with a custom paint job and maybe a different head it would be one of the best modern jetformers
Eh, I’m not so sure about that. While whatever custom paint job you can/could give it will make it look amazing, I still don’t think that’d make it the best jetformer. I know that there are better jetformers out there. If I’m being honest, I think one of the best jetformers is the old Power Core combiners Decepticon combiner (idk the name). He has a sleek jet form, and while the robot mode is a little janky it’s still great. I think I was 2 or 3 when Power Cores was a thing and somehow he’s survived amazingly over these years with the only thing that’s gotten loose being his toes and I lost his target master partner a while ago, but then again I don’t know if he would still be living today if I didn’t because toddlers and clear plastic don’t mix. If you want a really good jetformer to customize, look into finding him. Edit: Skyhammer! That’s his name, Skyhammer!
@@StrykerPrimeProductions I have Skyhammer and really like it! though it is small. But in the meantime I've got the maverick mold, for like 15 bucks, and I love it. definitely a great jetformer, the plane mode is just perfect and the robot is very cool! will paint him and give him a new head when I get a good idea for him
13:30 Yeah, consider it's pretty much a Diaclone toy that was later rebranded as a Transformers toy, it sadly is a hard truth that it really hasn't aged well.
Dr - great article, and good luck on your move! I really have list of pet peeves of my 2021 purchases, and one disappointment: Couldn’t Thrilling 30’s Jetfire’s hands be designed to fold/slide away. Couldn’t Cybertron Deluxe Excellion have longer forearms and why the need to wiggle the lower leg before extending leg to avoid breaking the hip ball joint. Also, why do G1 Computron’s arms extend out asymmetrically from the body? If one did disappoint me - Legends of Cybertron Megatron - front wings on very flimsy/fragile plastic, and with all the leg articulation, you can’t even raise the arms. A dishonorable mention would be Generations Selects Zetar’s lower legs falling off in some poses…
I am sure it was mentioned but the yellowing which you mentioned in this case isn't from sun damage but from oxygen. There is a way to reverse it (there is a video on youtube for it) - you just need an air tight jar and a chemical that you might be able to get at a hardware store - sorry I can't think of the name.
My usual ideology is a toy needs to be good enough to warrant upgrade kits. If I already don't like the figure, I don't feel it's fair to try and make it good. That money could be spent making a figure I like even better. Also some of them just don't work. Scorponok's upgrades all mess with the transformation, meaning you fix some things but ruin others.
"There's a context for everything." Matt Easton would be proud. Honestly SS66 Hot Rod was alright for me... until I got Kindgom Rodimus. With how much better that figure did everything compared to Hot Rod, at least. I realised the transformation wasn't that fun, and one of his pipes breaking so it doesn't stay on isn't a good look. I also got the re-issued Studio Series ROTF Bumblebee and... man. That transformation's a nightmare for the size and makes me appreciate Offroad Bumblebee so much more.
@@DrLockdown Oh it was fine enough, don't get me wrong! Just wasn't fun to transform after a while and it made me want to play with Offroad Bee more as a result, that's all. And to be fair, I still haven't delved into older lines or third party for budget reasons.
I had the Original Masterpiece Starscream when I was a lot younger, The Fucker disintegrated as soon as I tried to transform him into his F-15 alt-mode, Not fucking getting any Masterpiece figures again, ESPECIALLY THE NEW PRIME, THAT THING IS FUCKING CANCER IN PHYSICAL FORM so, yeah if you think the current Masterpiece figures are worse, That original Starscream was just too fuckin Fragile, only piece I have left is the head.
22:21 Oh man these little guys were my first ever Transformer toys, but I lost them like 15 years ago and I never knew the name of 'em. So this was kinda mind blowing for me haha.
Yellowing on SG Starscream interests me...my Kingdom Cyclonus has plastic bits which react to UV light, though half of the pieces don't react to the uv light, same under normal light though... QC? Not sure
the only thing i hate about 3rd party legends is that some of the clever solutions are never adopted by companies that make chug or masterpiece scaled figues
i have g2 ramjet that uses the same mold as sandstorm and i personally think the toy is pretty good and the jet form look beautiful but i also have g1 dirge and the wings can't fold on the sides of the legs and somethings don't like to stay together sadly i wish it would stay together because the dirge mold isn't half bad to be honest
I got to take a look at a copy of the for me WFC retrospective, and I guess it's fine...but it pales in comparison to the Funpub version. Really lacks those extra details
@@DrLockdown yeah me too! Hasbro used to be better than this! My friend has a Prowl figure from generations (or classics?) And it still hasn't yellowed but his SS Ratchet is more Yellow than bumblebee!
Hey Doc, I was watching your POTP Elita 1 review. In there you said that you weren’t going to get the Netflix Elita, and in this video you have one. What happened? Someone give it to you or something? Also I have it myself, she’s fine I don’t hate her or Arcee (although I do prefer the Legacy and B movie Arcee) and I’m gonna get the Legacy Elita but I wish she was red like the Netflix one rather than pink. Also excited for the eventual Minerva. Ok, got a little off topic but I think you get the point.
Do you have any plans to continue the core class reviews like you did in kingdom with legacy? Wave 1 being hot rod iguanus and skywarp Wave 2 being g2 megs and shockwave And re release prime
Yeah, eventually. The main issue is I just don't have the time. Too many figures to review at the moment, and core class figures keep piling up. There are more core class figures this year than last year, so I'm not going to be able to do any until the marathon
that 16 looks more like the DOTM roller, an extra figure in a bigger package, than a single figure. also, the sransformation somewhat looks alike. 13. I love G1 devastator, but the original toy was just so clunky. future versions are better, but the original is just not as good as any other combiner altogheter, and a few non-transformers ones 7 it's the Plankformers!
Tracks is bad. It’s composed entirely of translucent plastic so brittle that it makes me worry it’s going to shatter every time I pick it up, which is even worse because of _how horribly the parts clash, grip and snap during transformation!_ And mine showed up with stress marks on the rearview mirrors right out of the box. That, plus robot mode is 35% backpack and vehicle mode is 65% backpack! I don’t understand how you can forgive it!
17:43 I wish I knew about the problems scorponok had before getting him. I bought legacy Tarantulas and adored it and I wanted to collect the predacons so I saw Scorponok at my local comic shop on sale, and I bought him thinking I got a good deal until I played with him, the transformation felt unfinished and the claws were loose causing them to fall off and same goes with the scorpion legs on the back.
@@DrLockdown Thanks a lot! BTW, I thought to get the MP-52 Starscream, but looks like Takara has been screwing so much the line this last years, except for the MPM line. Why Takara!?
Crazy that the money saved from passing on a masterpiece scale combiner would ONLY be able to purchase about ten *LEGENDS* scale 3P figs. Their current $50-$65 pricepoints for legends figures are outta hand. I guess I'm spoiled by their earlier days of pricing and MFT options that were typically in the $17 range, when I'd even tack on ebay 15% off flash sales to get even more savings.
That's part of the joy of these lists: comparing and contrasting. I'm certain someone finds MP52 the best toy ever made, and that decision is no less valid
19:33 Fun fact actually I actually have the beast wars reissue I found it at my local ross For eleven dollars Quite a steal actually And there was a whole bunch of them I don't want to open it until we move tho So it stays in the box until we get to the house
20:58 That's why I'm wildly glad that I was able to get the generation Straxus. Yes, it was broken, but I fixed it and am happy as an elephant. I understand you perfectly. He is also among my favorite characters.
Don't care what you think, the Earthrise Seeker mold is cool. Never had the Classics one, but I really liked the engineering. Siege Starscream is good, but the mold doesn't do it for me and some other people. I don't like the Siege headsculpt, I don't like the details as he doesn't really fit in with other WfC releases. Earthrise mold is just more fun to me.
Re the yellowing on your SG Starscream, something very similar has happened to my Kingdom Cyclonus. Some of the plastic on the arms and legs has started to discolour. It hasn't had much, if any, direct contact with sunlight and I've seen a few people on the TF botposting page talking about similar issues
It feels like despite the Cyclonus mold's greatness, it feels like each release of it is cursed in some way or another, whether it be this, the shoulder QC with Gen Selects Cyclonus, and Ferak's rather ugly mug (any issues with Ferak will be updated when he actually releases). Not to mention Metalhawk (Evo Metalhawk at least, not United) having the "Games Workshop Gray", which, imo, I don't mind, but just looks kinda bland at most.
Out of curiosity, and this isn't meant to be snarky in any way, would you have preferred a Voyager quintesson that didn't even try to transform? It seems like a fully non-transforming Quintesson would have cut out most of your issues with the figure.
15:36 The CW „Motormadter Syndrome“ is actually very easy to fix. I have the Same white Prime. So i took a screwdriver, got in there and Flipped some stuff around. I put the spring in btween the ratchet and Voila ! Its still remaines Tight, But the Ratchet is gone, so now its Freely posable ! Mayby you can Do that on Megatron Too !
Scorponok is the one Kingdom figure I will definetively not buy, it looked bad from the pictures already and the character felt always a bit of a non-entity to me. Sincerely "worst figure" in my case is relative because I don't buy that many and I'm usually pretty selective, the "least good" is Road Rage due to the inherent issues of the mold but even then she's fine. PS: sincerely I think you are too hard on the CF/BB mold transformation scheme, I managed to get Bumblebee at normal price and I find it's a nice little figure. I would never had paid the stupid prices on eBay for it, but really the alt mode is delightful and the bot mode is a good representation of G1 Bee without being slavish.
I have to agree on #9. The reissue Beast Wars Scorponok is so much better than the Kingdom version. The color scheme is better, the scale and proportions are better, and transformation is a lot more fun.
I don't think Blurr is that bad, but then again, I only started collecting Transformers last year, so in terms of experience, I haven't experienced the Titans Return version. So, there is a kind of rose tinted glasses effect going on here.
I think RUclips naturally promotes more of my negative reviews. Must be algorithm nonsense. If it's any consolation, the next five videos are good to be positive.
It's more that its mediocre in comparison to the movie bots. The transformations and paintwork aren't of the same quality, aside from the dinobots who are amazing. It's also the fact that they deliberately make fewer movie bots in exchange for more geewun, which is getting real tiresome at this point. It's not even the interesting stuff past 87 that never got updates: it's the same old characters on a constant loop
Question to fellow owners of reissue Scorponok (I’m certain I botched the name) does anyone else have problems keeping the cyber-Bee in it’s spot? Mine is on a HAIR TRIGGER. It’s so bad I have to keep the rubber band on to keep it in place.
Yeah I don't buy his statement that it'll be remembered as one of the worst MPs. It's definitely divisive but there are plenty of people who enjoy the mold, at least in the FB groups I'm in.
As soon as you compared Scorponok’s claws to Audrey 2, I imagined the figure singing “Git It” (the plant’s big standout number/aka “Feed Me”) using his claw as a hand puppet…
Thank You, I had a lot of fun watching. I like how Maverick even looks bad in the package. Send me your 7-11 Ultra Magnus I am jealous. Arc/Lea... the pinnacle of "everything for the robot mode" design. I actually like the weird paint scheme. I especially liked you picking on G1 Devastator. I must forever leave my anime color release in the box or I'll be horribly disappointed. Your SG Starcream will yellow just like the first one sell now!!
There's an MP7/11 on carousell Singapore for $380SGD. That's about what I paid to import it back when it first released. www.carousell.sg/search/Transformers%207%2F11/
I think the problem with MP is that they keep taking figures and forcing g1 accuracy into them even if it becomes a detriment to the toy, it feels like they engineer the skeleton of the figure first and then sculpt it into the character it is meant to be without changing the skeleton to work with the design, instead of the other way around
Thankfully the only one I got in 2021 that I truly don’t like is that Elita 1. Bot mode is okay but the joints are too tight and that transformation is a nightmare. I’m tempted to take the car off and just call her the best RED line figure! I hope this year goes better. Christmas sounds like it was a nightmare for you.
I can't say that Top Lists are my thing, but I can/could offer my opinion about some of the entries on your list here. I don't hate the Dominus set. I quite like the Barricade in some capacity, but my issues lie in some tolerance choices. It's not exactly the clear plastic used, as I have watched other reviews prior to getting the set, and I have been careful on transforming him (and for that time I got him in vehicle mode, it did 'sit flush' (I say that for the car roof's sake). But my problem lies in the feet, with the worst offenders being the heels. They're so tight, I'm afraid of breaking the figure because of it. (And I do find it somewhat hilarious and a bit frustrating that the shoulder JOINTS are strong/tight to move, while the shoulder TABS are weak that they move off when trying to move the shoulder.) And no, I don't mind the lack of purple on the Earthrise version, since both versions are going for different aesthetics, and something tells me that they somewhat prioritized the vehicle mode on the Earthrise (yes, hence said clear plastic). (And I can't say that P-CP is a bad repaint, just needed some form of effort put into it, and I did paint the wheels red and a bit of Punch's thighs red (oh, and I painted the tail lights on Barricade as well as the black shoulders.), and no, the acrylic paint I had to do this didn't come with silver paint.) The Sparkless Seeker is an oddity. It looks less like a zombie and more like a generic Seeker with those colors and smirking face. (Maybe it was the point, maybe it wasn't. They did give him two Targetmasters, after all.) And yes, painted eyes over the light piping does suck, but I doubt the light piping would be effective if the eyes WEREN'T painted. (Seriously, who's dumb idea was it to go with that choice of transparent plastic?) Sure, a part of me wants the world collide box set, if for the Fangry and Nemesis Primal (& if I wanted the latter, I'd want the Shadow Panther to go along with it). I can say that obscure characters of The Transformers intrigues me*. (I'll find a way to acquire the WFC Horrorcons.) (And I don't really collect third party figures and Masterpiece figures, though I WILL admit I am intrigued by those Masterpiece(s) Road Rage and Exhaust.) I don't hate the Earthrise Arcee, and I'd say that Arcee is (probably) the best of the mould, but I doubt you'd care. And I could say that your list here is the kind of thing you need to get off your chest. (I never voted on what list you should do.)
(*Dunno if the the thing to 'steer the ship' out of the trajectory of what Transformers media aims at in terms of bringing in more people (based on what you had to say from those Diagnosis Insanities) would be to give the obscure entities the spotlight as opposed to the same characters over and over (ex: Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, etc.), but what would I know?
One of the worst of 2021 was Kingdom Soundwave. I was so excited for him, and I called two different GameStops to ask if they had him, and I hate calling stores! Butterfly joins in the shoulders are stupidly loose Left knee very loose Torso pegs too tight so he will get stress marks ON THE FRONT OF THE TOY if I transform him anymore, so basically I payed for a toy that was broken out of the box and I can’t find another copy. Also Hades Megatron was kinda disappointing. He looks cool but he can’t hold up Hades in weapon mode and transforming him is confusing, and Gora ii wouldn’t look right in weapon mode so I tried to fix it but I broke him
Aw, I actually liked NA Straxus! I’ve got my gripes, but that’s all I’ll get about of the character. I do agree with the transformation standpoint. It’s not fun!
Agreed, his only valid point is the transformation is a pain. Otherwise, he's quite awesome IMO and I'm not even a fan of the character. Haven't had any paint chipping on mine and I've posed him around quite a bit. The alt mode is goofy but look up the old Marvel comics, it is what he looked like in alt mode.
I just love how right you were about the retro Scorponok reissue being better than the kingdom one. I got it as a Christmas present from a friend this year, and it was amazing. It's surprisingly articulated despite its age, and the gimmicks it has don't even cause any compromise. The only flaws I could find were the fact that the scorpion mode looks kinda hollow, one of the claws can't be fully closed due to the cyber bee, and the legs feel a bit loose (it's not like it instantly falls when you try to make it stand up, but they still move a bit too easy.) Nevertheless, it's still a great figure. Thank you for having advised me to not but Kingdom Scorponok, Doc.
17:40 the entirely 100% just personal ranting of this video actually makes it way easier to watch/listen to than a lot of the others. I don't know why exactly (probably to do at least partially with my close mindedness) I get really frustrated a lot of the time when you make attempts at actual objective hypotheses that I often disagree with or don't care about, but this going, "I don't like this and I don't care if the reasons are absolutely subjective or even absurd" I find waaay better
Why did you place MP-52's blue tailfins on the back side of the wings instead of inside the wings where they belong? I think you are the only person I've ever seen do that. What did you think the giant hinge on the front of the wings was for? Hard disagree with your opinion of the MP toon direction. Also, MP-52 Starscream and MP-53 Skids were designed by the same person......
No actually. Skids was designed by the designer of the original G1 toy. He hasn't done anything in the transformers brand since then aside from an $800 watch As for Starscream, it was just a mistake. I reused footage from the review to be efficient.

5:44 “anyone watching this probably won’t have this issue”
hehehe. Hahahaha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-
I love Worlds Collide Bumblebee. :)
I guess I'm not feeling what everyone else does because he's my first figure which uses that mold.
Netflix Bee was my first exposure to the mold and I love him. I now own Buzzworthy Cliffjumper, and unfortunately mine got hit with the QC hammer so he isn’t as solid as Bee
Yeah my sg starscream also has yellowing, out of the box. It's pain
Fuck. Not you too...
@@DrLockdown yep. The two back panels on the legs were yellow out of the box. But that seems to be the only yellow parts at the moment
Yeah I've noticed it's the back parts and a bunch of others, but it's not the whole figure. Must be all the bits on the same sprue
But in the meantime I've got the maverick mold, for like 15 bucks, and I love it. definitely a great jetformer, the plane mode is just perfect and the robot is very cool! will paint him and give him a new head when I get a good idea for him
@@Alzeal07 Oh, well then good luck 👍🏼
"Bitch, DO IT LOOK LIKE I GIVE A FUCK!?" LOVE that line! Lmao
13:30 Yeah, consider it's pretty much a Diaclone toy that was later rebranded as a Transformers toy, it sadly is a hard truth that it really hasn't aged well.
A lot of them are still really fun. The triple changers are great, and prime is chunky and fun.
@@DrLockdown pretty much
what song is that for number 7 at 21:01 ?
The original SimCity, megopolis
Homeboy at number 10 really thought he was doing something with just doing a simple head swap and calling it a different character 😂
Hey, dont diss my boy blurr! Even if he is a loose weird piece of crap. Seriously why are the pods on the back of the arms so loose?!
oh please. Blurr doesn't look that bad. Aside from feeling hallow hes a pretty good figure and so is Scorponok only down side his legs are stubby
Disagreements aside, I think you mean 'hollow'. 'Hallow' is a Christian thing.
Tbh, third party upgrade kits have done some wonders for some of these
My usual ideology is a toy needs to be good enough to warrant upgrade kits. If I already don't like the figure, I don't feel it's fair to try and make it good. That money could be spent making a figure I like even better.
Also some of them just don't work. Scorponok's upgrades all mess with the transformation, meaning you fix some things but ruin others.
"They should upscale this to voyagerrr siiize" had me laughing
"There's a context for everything." Matt Easton would be proud.
Honestly SS66 Hot Rod was alright for me... until I got Kindgom Rodimus. With how much better that figure did everything compared to Hot Rod, at least. I realised the transformation wasn't that fun, and one of his pipes breaking so it doesn't stay on isn't a good look.
I also got the re-issued Studio Series ROTF Bumblebee and... man. That transformation's a nightmare for the size and makes me appreciate Offroad Bumblebee so much more.
I didn't mind that bumblebee. Didn't think it was amazing, but it did the job
@@DrLockdown Oh it was fine enough, don't get me wrong! Just wasn't fun to transform after a while and it made me want to play with Offroad Bee more as a result, that's all.
And to be fair, I still haven't delved into older lines or third party for budget reasons.
Only SS86 figure I want is 2 copies of Wreck Gar (One for robot mode and one for said mode to ride)
My first was 07 legends blackout. Still a great toy IMO
@@DrLockdown If I ever get into legends collecting I kinda want to get the Grindor version, the colors just hit right for me
Yellowing on SG Starscream interests me...my Kingdom Cyclonus has plastic bits which react to UV light, though half of the pieces don't react to the uv light, same under normal light though... QC? Not sure
the only thing i hate about 3rd party legends is that some of the clever solutions are never adopted by companies that make chug or masterpiece scaled figues
It's not really compatible. A lot of the transformation steps would look ugly and unfinished
This is hilarious and brilliant! Thanks for sharing.
i have g2 ramjet that uses the same mold as sandstorm and i personally think the toy is pretty good and the jet form look beautiful but i also have g1 dirge and the wings can't fold on the sides of the legs and somethings don't like to stay together sadly i wish it would stay together because the dirge mold isn't half bad to be honest
I got to take a look at a copy of the for me WFC retrospective, and I guess it's fine...but it pales in comparison to the Funpub version. Really lacks those extra details
Kingdom Scorponok for sure is terrible. I bought the walmart anniversary Scorponok instead and modded and detailed him to look more show accurate.
When they're both on the shelf at the same time, I see no reason to get the new version aside from price
I was literally about to say the Ratchet was yellowing and you BEAT ME TO THE PUNCH COUNTERPUNCH-
I'm relieved I'm not the only one, but concerned about the precedent being set
@@DrLockdown yeah me too! Hasbro used to be better than this! My friend has a Prowl figure from generations (or classics?) And it still hasn't yellowed but his SS Ratchet is more Yellow than bumblebee!
but can thay beat bold forms gladius?
No idea, never owned it, not getting it
for context, watch jobbys bold forms gladius review
Awesome video! What's the name of the song during the shockwave section? I haven't heard that song in so long and can't remember where it's from
The Tokyo theme from shin megamix tensei four
Hey Doc, I was watching your POTP Elita 1 review. In there you said that you weren’t going to get the Netflix Elita, and in this video you have one. What happened? Someone give it to you or something? Also I have it myself, she’s fine I don’t hate her or Arcee (although I do prefer the Legacy and B movie Arcee) and I’m gonna get the Legacy Elita but I wish she was red like the Netflix one rather than pink. Also excited for the eventual Minerva. Ok, got a little off topic but I think you get the point.
She was cheap on the shelf and I changed my mind. Shouldn't have done that though
@@DrLockdown Oh Ok.
A tour de force
Didn’t big firebirds windblade get canceled?
Not quite. They retooled the design. We've seen a catgirl silhouette using what appears to be the same mould, but I cannot find it
@@DrLockdown I still see this as a win still lol
Do you have any plans to continue the core class reviews like you did in kingdom with legacy?
Wave 1 being hot rod iguanus and skywarp
Wave 2 being g2 megs and shockwave
And re release prime
Yeah, eventually. The main issue is I just don't have the time. Too many figures to review at the moment, and core class figures keep piling up. There are more core class figures this year than last year, so I'm not going to be able to do any until the marathon
This is why I don’t exactly trust jobby reviews he’s too good at transforming Takara abominations which doesn’t translate to the average human
Complicated transformations can work. I love a lot of them.
Starscream isn't complicated. He's just bullshit.
that 16 looks more like the DOTM roller, an extra figure in a bigger package, than a single figure. also, the sransformation somewhat looks alike.
13. I love G1 devastator, but the original toy was just so clunky. future versions are better, but the original is just not as good as any other combiner altogheter, and a few non-transformers ones
7 it's the Plankformers!
Because it's fun
One thing I can say for both Tracks and Rhinox: skill issue
Same for legacy Shadow Striker. It takes some getting used to, but then they're anything but "worst toy evarr!"
What´s the name of the melody in number 3?
Groose's theme from skyward sword
@@DrLockdown Thanks a lot! BTW, I thought to get the MP-52 Starscream, but looks like Takara has been screwing so much the line this last years, except for the MPM line. Why Takara!?
Short answer, warped priorities
Long answer, I go in depth in my review: ruclips.net/video/eo9QXkYjP20/видео.html
first video I'm watching from you, I love your purge into absolute insanity, chaos, and anger LOL
I mean legends figures are easily worth that price these days. Recently got new age toy prime and diaclone mirage. They're fantastic
I only started getting Transformers figures again a few years ago, and #6 was one of the few that truly did not like.
12:18 i love that barricade 😭
Well, if you didn’t bought things when you knew you were gonna hate them you wouldn’t have Siege Astrotrain
Yeah fair
not that anyone cares, but i disagree with like half your list, because i'd have lots of fun playing around with them, especially blur.
That's part of the joy of these lists: comparing and contrasting. I'm certain someone finds MP52 the best toy ever made, and that decision is no less valid
19:33 Fun fact actually I actually have the beast wars reissue I found it at my local ross For eleven dollars Quite a steal actually And there was a whole bunch of them
I don't want to open it until we move tho So it stays in the box until we get to the house
Have you got the new bumblebee film deluxes?
Yes, all three in the new wave. Ratchet is amazing
@@DrLockdown gotta agree. Though I'd say that the transformation is too complex for young kids
Nah. One of my first toys was ROTF prime. I reckon they can handle it
@@DrLockdown oh fuck! If that was one of your 1st, then you have my respect
Have you sold that 2nd Fangry?
Yep. Sold instantly
@@DrLockdown No surprise there. What about that Bumblebee you like so much?
Sold one. The second one I got stuck with I have a buyer. Just been holding off to send a bunch of stuff together
@@DrLockdown I'm glad.
Yeah things seem to be getting out of hand at this point way too many cases.
Probably. I wouldn't have bothered with it at all then either
I'd say they should've done a new Quintesson judge figure in the non transforming TF Red line.
Wait, you're in Australia? Where in Australia are you?
NSW
15:36 The CW „Motormadter Syndrome“ is actually very easy to fix. I have the Same white Prime. So i took a screwdriver, got in there and Flipped some stuff around. I put the spring in btween the ratchet and Voila ! Its still remaines Tight, But the Ratchet is gone, so now its Freely posable ! Mayby you can Do that on Megatron Too !
Dunno if that's possible with that Megatron, given the metal
29:28 - 29:36, dr lockdown sharing megatron's opinion on starscream at this point
So who do you think is the worst toy? Mp52 starscream or Wang Jang thunder leader
Thunder leader. Easily
Even if you get the original it's still better, with its luscious black
@@DrLockdown Got the original. I keep him in Beast Mode while I have the reissue in Robot Mode.
my Starscream turned yellow pretty quick too, in the exact same spots as yours, which is a real shame because oh my GOD I love the deco on him
I don't think Blurr is that bad, but then again, I only started collecting Transformers last year, so in terms of experience, I haven't experienced the Titans Return version. So, there is a kind of rose tinted glasses effect going on here.
Gurl no. At least from what I’ve seen of you, there’s definitely more negativity than positivity in your content.
I think RUclips naturally promotes more of my negative reviews. Must be algorithm nonsense. If it's any consolation, the next five videos are good to be positive.
Is the 86 movie studio series that bad?
It's more that its mediocre in comparison to the movie bots. The transformations and paintwork aren't of the same quality, aside from the dinobots who are amazing.
It's also the fact that they deliberately make fewer movie bots in exchange for more geewun, which is getting real tiresome at this point. It's not even the interesting stuff past 87 that never got updates: it's the same old characters on a constant loop
@@DrLockdown ah, okay well that's why there is alot of them on store shelves.
Good list, i have a question tho, since you dont like FH athena at all, will you get any other FH figures
Probably. The rest seem great
Question to fellow owners of reissue Scorponok (I’m certain I botched the name) does anyone else have problems keeping the cyber-Bee in it’s spot? Mine is on a HAIR TRIGGER. It’s so bad I have to keep the rubber band on to keep it in place.
Speller correctly, and yes. It is a bit easy to pop out.
“This is just a QC issue, not everyone has this issue”
Uh huh
i dont think that mp 52 is the worst masterpiece ever i just think the universe just hated you and sent you the worst copy imaginable
Yeah I don't buy his statement that it'll be remembered as one of the worst MPs. It's definitely divisive but there are plenty of people who enjoy the mold, at least in the FB groups I'm in.
people hate Rhinox? He’s awesome
Yeah I don't get it either, but a lot of people despise him
I don't hate him. I dislike his guns and backpack that don't lock in.
But I like him for everything else.
As soon as you compared Scorponok’s claws to Audrey 2, I imagined the figure singing “Git It” (the plant’s big standout number/aka “Feed Me”) using his claw as a hand puppet…
I still haven't seen the movie TBH...
Aaaaand subscribed. More of this guy please.
I dont have a problem with scorponok’s beast mode, just his robot mode
Thankfully the only one I got in 2021 that I truly don’t like is that Elita 1. Bot mode is okay but the joints are too tight and that transformation is a nightmare. I’m tempted to take the car off and just call her the best RED line figure!
I hope this year goes better. Christmas sounds like it was a nightmare for you.
Is it possible that your Devastator might be a KO? I have the G1, G2, and Encore sets and none of their stickers are like that, thick and peeling off.
Nope. I know the person who bought it, and I know they imported it from a reputable site back when they first released it
I can't say that Top Lists are my thing, but I can/could offer my opinion about some of the entries on your list here.
(And I can't say that P-CP is a bad repaint, just needed some form of effort put into it, and I did paint the wheels red and a bit of Punch's thighs red (oh, and I painted the tail lights on Barricade as well as the black shoulders.), and no, the acrylic paint I had to do this didn't come with silver paint.)
The Sparkless Seeker is an oddity. (Seriously, who's dumb idea was it to go with that choice of transparent plastic?)
Sure, a part of me wants the world collide box set, if for the Fangry and Nemesis Primal (& if I wanted the latter, I'd want the Shadow Panther to go along with it). I can say that obscure characters of The Transformers intrigues me*. (I'll find a way to acquire the WFC Horrorcons.) (And I don't really collect third party figures and Masterpiece figures, though I WILL admit I am intrigued by those Masterpiece(s) Road Rage and Exhaust.)
I don't hate the Earthrise Arcee, and I'd say that Arcee is (probably) the best of the mould, but I doubt you'd care.
Butterfly joins in the shoulders are stupidly loose
Left knee very loose
Torso pegs too tight so he will get stress marks ON THE FRONT OF THE TOY if I transform him anymore, so basically I payed for a toy that was broken out of the box and I can’t find another copy.
Also Hades Megatron was kinda disappointing. He looks cool but he can’t hold up Hades in weapon mode and transforming him is confusing, and Gora ii wouldn’t look right in weapon mode so I tried to fix it but I broke him
22:04 im kinda worried it might just be a rerelease of that version oh her i really hope im wrong
Nah every leaker says she's a retool of Minerva.
@@DrLockdown hopefully Minerva is good we definitely need more good fembots
Aw, I actually liked NA Straxus! I’ve got my gripes, but that’s all I’ll get about of the character. I do agree with the transformation standpoint. It’s not fun!
Yeah I was extra disappointed since new age typically has a really high standard. This just doesn't reach that
@@DrLockdown I’m still excited for their Cyclonus and Hound coming by the near end of March!
Agreed, his only valid point is the transformation is a pain. Otherwise, he's quite awesome IMO and I'm not even a fan of the character. Haven't had any paint chipping on mine and I've posed him around quite a bit. The alt mode is goofy but look up the old Marvel comics, it is what he looked like in alt mode.
for me the worst 5 for me are
5. Kingdom Tracks
4. SS B127
3. JP93
2. Iron Trans Star Blade
1. SS 86 Blurr
I got JP93 this year, so he'll probably be on this year's worst list. He really is trash

I just love how right you were about the retro Scorponok reissue being better than the kingdom one.
I got it as a Christmas present from a friend this year, and it was amazing.
It's surprisingly articulated despite its age, and the gimmicks it has don't even cause any compromise.
The only flaws I could find were the fact that the scorpion mode looks kinda hollow, one of the claws can't be fully closed due to the cyber bee, and the legs feel a bit loose (it's not like it instantly falls when you try to make it stand up, but they still move a bit too easy.)
Nevertheless, it's still a great figure.
Thank you for having advised me to not but Kingdom Scorponok, Doc.
Oof. My Energon Tidal Wave and Armada Red Alert are both yellowing despite being nowhere near sunlight for nearly 2 years...
Been waiting for this shit . Loved this last year. Can't wait for the best of 2021. Love ur content keep it u0
I enjoy the cliff jumper mold………..but I understand the hate. Great video as always!
Congrats on getting 7k subs man🥳
Oh lol. Didn't actually notice. Thanks mate :D
That's why I typically watch his vids. I tend to disagree a lot but he doesn't try to claim his opinions as objective like other reviewers.
It’s funny to learn that Zeta is as petty as their fanbase is 😂
Why did you place MP-52's blue tailfins on the back side of the wings instead of inside the wings where they belong? I think you are the only person I've ever seen do that. What did you think the giant hinge on the front of the wings was for? Hard disagree with your opinion of the MP toon direction. Also, MP-52 Starscream and MP-53 Skids were designed by the same person......
No actually. Skids was designed by the designer of the original G1 toy. He hasn't done anything in the transformers brand since then aside from an $800 watch
As for Starscream, it was just a mistake. I reused footage from the review to be efficient.
