"I'm talking about my honour here, my wife's honour!"
John Sacrimoni is easily a fan favourite Sopranos character. But everyone noticed that when he became boss after the sudden death of Carmine Lupertazzi Sr. from a stroke, Johns ego grew exponentially. But why? This is a character analysis that was the legendary John Sacrimoni.

Throughout The Sopranos, Tony certainly has his fare share of enemies and antagonists that we see throughout the series. From the toxic mother had to deal with for a majority of his life, to the plethora of nagging girlfriends, to his wife Carmela, the FBI, and even the multiple rats that try and take down Tony and his family, Tony certainly has to watch his back at all times. But there';s no enemy that causes Tony more stress than his close friends in New York in The Lupertazzi Crime Family. No matter who their boss was, from Phil, Johnny, to even Carmine Lupertazzi Sr., they always costed Tony millions of dollars. - Кино
"Some people are better at being number twos" - Silvo Dante.
Calling him poop
I'd rather be #2, who needs that "crown." Behind the curtains and in shadows giving advice to #1, and then hopefully escaping, invisible, when crap hits fan and the jig is up!
Being number 2 is better
Whatever happened there.
Some RUclips channels are better at being number twos. This video was very anticlimactic.
I noticed how when Johnny passes everyone but Paulie raises a toast, Paulie was still hurt that Johnny played him like a chump.
In John's def paulie is a nitwit
Carmine was very fond of Paulie
He asks about him..@@llcooljaz1097
@@llcooljaz1097 everyone was fond of Clarence
@@garysiddons2157 and Mr Williams, who doesn’t play golf.
Johnny Sack was a real stand up guy at sit downs.
More than once he stood up and started yelling.
My Estimation of John Sacrimoni as a man just fuckin plummeted
Give em a break it’s been an emotional day
Is that F'N necessary!!???
@@wonkamcfrojin9753-But to cry like a woman?? If the feds can make him do that, what else can they make him do?
His coach turned back into a pumpkin
Not even Cinderella cried!!
Johnny Sac has to be my favorite character of the series. There is just something about him that I love.
"What is dis, duh fuckin UN now?" Always makes me crack up
“WHEN THEY GO!?!?”
No one makes yelling or smoking as cool as Johnny Sac does
What is this the fuckin UN? Yea John was funny and a lose cannon
He definitely had a certain X-factor that other characters didn’t have
I wanted to write "downfall." I compromised, I wrote "donwfall" instead.
Ive always thought that last scene where John dies and Jeannie asks him if he wants a cigarette could either be viewed as cringe or in my case the first time i watched it i almost cried.
It was like her offering him a cigarette was the moral equivalent of begging him not to leave her.
Yes John was one of my favorite characters!! I was sad when he got ill and died!! He was loyal to his wife and children!!
he was loyle to his capos
I liked him too.
Vincent Curatola did a phenomenal job playing Johnny Sac. 👏
Carmine was not Jon’s successor. He was his predecessor.
And most likely his son after Phil and Tony were both taken out.
I think Vincent Curatola did such a great job as John Sacrimoni. Really such a great acting job. One of my favorite actors on the show, he steals every scene he’s in.
Johnny Sack is a prime example of “Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely”.
After my second watch of the show, that was the first thing that came to mind.
In the end, Tony was right. John was an insecure guy who created a constant tension within his own family that spilled over.
@@KRS2000 - I mean the same can be said about Tony himself. He was very insecure and had such a short fuse that any and everything would set him off. And in the end, just like John Sacrimoni, Tony got exactly what he deserved.
@@westnile21 Yeah. We gradually see his decline throughout every season, as well. Him killing Christopher near the end was the tipping point.
No more theories, they're hurtful and destructive
The issue with Sopranos Theories has gotta be resolved!!!

Oh. I agree.
It wasn’t 300K. It was 250K

Hehehe
Fat remarks are hurtful, and destructive.
Those damned Deal-a-Meal cards didn't help one bit....
Come on! They were the old married couple
JOHN, GET DOWN HERE. YOU GOT COMPANY!
Lmfao! Why do i remember that yell? It was so random. It cracked me up.

I grew up in an Italian neighbourhood.
There were 90% of the kids in my grade school, that were fresh off the boat, or their parents were.
High school was a little better, but still loads of Italian kids. Their mothers would yell, straight across the school yard, like it's a normal way to communicate.
Even at home, when I called, moms would stand by the phone and holler at their kids, to pick up the line.
It was hilarious.
Lol
“His coach turned into a pumpkin, hehehe 🤘🏼”
"Real lack of standards your generation. In my day, John's right- a man would never be expected to stand for a remark like that."- Uncle Junior
The joke was truly the downfall of both families. Before that, John was cool, calm, and collected in his dealings with NJ. But once he heard the joke, his real ego and insecurities came out as he was even willing to whack Ralph behind Carmine’s back. From here, things only got worse with the HUD scam and his desire to take over NY.
He seemed to crave power and respect even over money, and this led to dire consequences for both families.
Yeah man really that joke sent in motion the war between both families and the ultimate demise of at least the soprano family
Exactly.
Johnny Sack was the true hothouse flower of the series.
Once the feds took notice, their money became useless. If there was one more season every character would be dead or locked up. In death and chains these losers knew their reputation would mean something to the other losers.
Is there anything more disheartening than getting the keys to a falling Kingdom. Carmine Sr. Lucked up in dying when he did before the entire leadership in NY went down
Johnny Sac was my favorite
Mine too. It's why I started watching in the first place.
No one's takin to you!!
@@DrJ-hx7wv"Stick it up your a**"
Between Vito pitching not catching and Johnny Sack playing him how much more betrayal can poor Pauli take
It’s like he got stabbed in the heart.
Johnny Sac was cold, calculating and manipulative. He was one of the best characters in the whole series.
Carmine Lupertazzi (aka Tony Lip) was also a chauffeur for a Black classical pianist in the late 1960s, as they toured the south. Watch the film Green Book (2018).
That was him?!?!
Yes
Can you do a Sopranos Theory about whether Tony Soprano is involved in organized crime?? I think that there is a lot of questions about whether he is complacent in the activities some of his friends are involved.
Johnny Sac always thought he was above everyone else, but in reality he was just swinging below the real junk
You really get that wrong every time you mention it. Every single time you phrase it as “carmine sided with Ralph over John bc Ralph made a lot of money and had ties to the Esplanade” anyone who’s seen the show knows that’s a vast misrepresentation of the situation. Have you seen how mob guys react to the scene of that sit down? Because it isn’t “John is right, his wife was disrespected and his Boss should side with him” it’s “so you’re having a sit down and refuse to give us the name of who told it to you, so we can have them back it up” like junior said, “if you weren’t there how do you know it happened” and he refuses to engage that point to not rat out Paulie, and because he knows Paulie would probably lie and say he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. If he had actually provided the name of who told him, Carmine wouldn’t have had to sanction the hit bc Tony said he’d offer them up on a silver platter. It paints Carmine character as if he was greedy and didn’t care about his own family, when what it actually shows is he’s level headed, and doesn’t blindly side with his underboss when what he’s asking for would cause nothing but damage, and he refuses to give proof. Boiling that situation down to “he just didn’t want to lose money” is disingenuous
Interesting nuanced analysis. Thank you
More creative than Spielberg.
Ginny Sac was such a rock for John.
rock of gibraltar OOhhh!!
A true day one ride or die kinda gal
Ginny was a whole planet
Don’t forget Uncle Philly kept her in butter brickle.
Excellent analysis!
Johnny Sac had the redeeming qualities of loving his children along with loving his wife and not cheating on her.
My estimation of johnny sack just fuckin plummeted.
John seemed like a Decent Guy when He was Number 2 but when He took Over He just wanted people to Bend to His Will because He was Sitting in the Big Seat.
It was only 250,000 that Junior soprano ended up taxing Hesh. Tony gave Hesh his 50,000 he got from Junior after he divided the 250,000 amongst the capo’s
I knew someone would catch that $300k error mentioned by the narrator. I didnt want to double comment the mistake but rather Like the correction... Right on !!!
I think John did say 300 and Hesh quickly threw the number 250. Junior looked at him then he laughed and said hold on to your cock when you’re negotiating with these desert people. And they shook hands agreeing on the 250
Who cares? This isn't a real Soprano channel like Borko, it just a glorified pygmy thing.

Carmine lupertazzi sr was not his successor he was his boss. Sometimes I wonder if the owner of this channel really watched the show or looks up cliff notes
Also every video is basically just retelling the plot with very little of analysis added to it, not to even mention actual theories
@@t1ll316Pure Kino and Cineranter are much better channels.
Carmine Lupertazzi (aka Tony Lip) was also a chauffeur for a Black classical pianist in the late 1960s, as they toured the south. Watch the film Green Book (2018).
Always with the theories
“ never underestimate the other guys greed”
I tried to tell him not to stick his beak in
I learned from John to never cry.
My estimation as of BobLoblowLawFirm as a man just fucking skyrocketed!
This was a big, beautiful video. Rubenesque.
Everything changed, when he flipped his Maserati, and hit his head.
Johnny Sac was one of the best characters on the series.
Johnny Sac was always one of my favorite characters, so Machiavellian
Also I still laugh Ttll I cry at Joey Peeps, how do you fuck up a tombstone that badly?Lmfao
Just when I thought i was out, He pulls me back in.
This is the last time we will be meeting like this it’s undignified
I haven’t wanted to do dis, but your video left out the fact that Phil did 20 fucking years.
2:02 you mean predecessor.
Ahh, Johny Sack and his f***ing temper, that's nice
absolute power...
The Joke, and Tony back out the hit. Made Johnny change his mind about Jersey. It was his downfall
I’m not afraid to say it but my estimation of John Sacrimoni as a man has just fking plummeted.
03:06 it was little Carmine that interrupted the funeral, not John.
he did not compromise
The scene in The Weight where John turns around back home to get something and catches Jenny in the basement with all that candy. I really felt for those two. Only time in the entire series I got chocked up.
He stabbed Paulie in the heart
Had he gone straight, Johnny Sacc would have been a great ambassador to Italy.
Yeah he was a mole. He is actions lead to not only Tony's death but the death of Carm and Anthony Jr as well... which would hunt Paulie leading him to become a priest (via lillyhammer)
Johnny Sack was an OG, who was huge when it came to the rules and regulations of LCN. Friends of ours this, friends of ours that. When it came down to it as far as a gangster goes John had one huge, glaring weakness....He loved his wife and children and what they meant to him more than "this thing of ours". What did this lead to? Phil and all the other narcissistic members of the Lupertazi's saw him shedding tears at the end of probably the last happy event he will ever likely (we as viewers know for sho it will be) attend in person, because once your sentenced in the feds you are not going out on anymore supervised releases. So yeah John showing emotion at his daughters wedding, destroys your view of him as a man??? That kind of statement RIGHT THERE is why as an Italian American that loves a great mob story as much as the next guy, hates that part of the LCN, This family, before your blood family??? And that is why you could not pay ME TO BE A PART OF OR AN ASSOCIATE OF LCN, PERIOD, I HATE USING THIS WORD, BUT THAT PART OF LCN IS RETARDED.....
In the end, he lived up to his name. Sacked and smoked.
Well, let's just say that hotboxing every cigarette he put in his mouth didn't help 😳
“Allegedly” lmao we are the omniscient viewer, he 100% made fun of his wife lol good video tho I love these
This Sopranos theories is more creative than Spielberg!
Ill never ask you to be thin for me
John don’t yell at me
Always a big Johnny Sac fan. I feel like he was pushed to become so violent. In a peaceful transfer of power he would’ve became a great boss
We're still not 100% sure if Johnny Sack changed and became more trigger happy and greedy once he became boss. Could you repeat it a few dozen more times?
What’s the point of this video? I understand it’s an older show but im so sick of these videos that say nothing new. You went over some basic Sopranos facts and even messed up some of those too. Who is this video for?
Thank you for watching!
One thing about John.. he never stuck his beak in..
You grab on to Jenny Sack ya f*ckin hand's ah disappear.

I wanted to write "downfall" as part of my RUclips video title. I compromised, I wrote "donwfall" instead.
It's amazing how much value Sac managed to exploit out of Paulie. 🤑
Paulie and Chris were at the helm of a lot of screw ups in the family
I read 'Ginny' was wearing a fat suit. That explained why she moved around lightly as though she didn't have all that weight.
It's sad when they go young like that.
WHEN THEY GO?
Ralph did insult Ginny .Not allegedly did .
A sacrimoni had a sanctimonious endint
It wasn't allegedly! Ralph made the joke, there was nothing alleged about it. How could you get that wrong??? Makes me doubt the whole video.
I always thought it was John Sacramone
It was $250 not $300
I liked him better than anyone in the New Jersey crew

He also kicked the shit out of one of Ralphs crew with Joey Peeps .. ?
It’s sad because John used to be a pragmatist
Honestly, there wasn't that much of a difference in his personality as people make out. Narcissistic? Just throwing random words out
Hesh's taxes get reduced to 250k, not 300. For a sopranos channel, a lot of basic things are presented incorrectly here
It was initially 300, but Hesh demanded 250, which Junior reluctantly accepted. These are minor errors.
@@DrJ-hx7wv it was 500 initially rhat Jr. was demanding, actually. The final agreed upon number is 250. To say they settled on 300 is misleading
I can't write this but let me try.
Johnny: Rusty should be boss.
Rusty: I don't wanna be in a room with Phil.
John: Rusty Is a cancer I can't let him spread.
Johnny Sac dies.
Phil: PLEASE MY ASS!!
250 ooo
I liked johnny but he was btetter as underboss
The type of person/boss had nothing to do with his downfall. Jimmy Patreil was a rat for years. If Carmine hadn’t died the indictment would’ve got him too.
What’s this the fuckin UN now?
