    YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER MAN, THANK YOU. I was very confuse because I have the printer options in Spanish, so there is not option called "Ink Flush". Instead, I tried an option called "Limpieza sistema" (in english: "System Cleaning") an it did the same process explained in the video. And it worked!! I think it´s an error in the translation or something.
    for Spanish users: Para que tienen los que tienen esta impresora en español. Si su impresora no imprime ciertos colores y las tuberías están vacías utilicen la opción "Limpieza sistema". hace lo mismo que dice este video, literalmente un "Ink FLush" (Enjuague o purga de tinta). Las demás opciones del apartado de mantenimiento son inútiles.

      That's funny because the Canon documentation in English says to do "system cleaning," but that isn't an option in the English menu on the printer lol

    Ink Flush (under “Maintenance”) worked perfectly! I should have looked inside the printer for the skinny ink tubes as shown in the video and I would have seen the same air gaps in most of the tubes. Once I ran the flush all the air gaps in the ink tubes were gone, the nozzle check results were perfect, and all printing returned to Normal! 😊🎉
    Just make sure your ink levels are above the specified “dot” on all cartridges that are to be flushed before starting the flush. And watch the video before starting!!

    I am shocked! I have a newer model and your video still guided me right through the process. Some of the steps were facilitated by the Canon software, but basically the same. I had no magenta suddenly, and I was sure I was looking at a new printer. Following your guidance I proved myself wrong as now I have my printer working again. Thank you so very much!!!!!

    This is Steve's wife. This was fantastic instruction. I had done cleaning and deep cleaning and then followed your instructions. Actually my magenta was the one that wasn't printing also. Like you, I found it used up a lot of ink but can't imagine where it went. I topped all the tanks off and everything is perfect. Thank you!

    It worked! I’m amazed and grateful. This was a G4511, identical control panel. I made the mistake of first trying the Canon website which tried to get me to register the serial number online and then failed to order the action it said was necessary. The ink flush was so easy to do by comparison. But yeah, where the heck did that ink go, it was nearly a quarter of a tank’s worth of color ink, disappeared into the ether.

    My printer was brand new and had no issues initially. Then had a large order to print and the colours were off on all of them. Such a waste of ink. Tried all of your suggestions sand it worked. Thank you!!!

    Amazing... in fact it was bubbling.
    You've just forgot to tell to check the tubes before doing the ink fill.

    Truly a life saver, I spent hours thinking it was a profiling setting since all this "conveniently" happened when I set up my new laptop. So I thought it was a difference in updated profile setting from other videos I watched. And was confused as to why "Cleaning" would make it worse lol. And then you happened with your ink flush Idea and saved the day!!! Thank you so much!!

    Thank you Eric. I was getting so frustrated. I had just moved and wondered if I'd damaged the printer, even though I carefully put it in the back of my own car instead of letting the movers do it. I spilled black ink somehow, but that's all cleaned up. I had to do the flush FOUR times for it to work. So hopefully if it doesn't work for someone else first time, try, try again.     Thank you for the great video. This is exactly what I needed. I was getting worried that something had gone wrong with my printer right in the middle of printing my son's girlfriend's senior photos. My experience was exactly like yours in that the nozzle check initially showed no magenta, then after cleaning it showed no yellow. However, after completing an ink flush everything was back to normal. I also appreciated that you showed us the little dot on the ink level windows as I had never seen that before. Thank you so much!

    THANK-YOU. Fixed my printer, wasn't printing cyan at ALL. Pixma G6000. I could see the cyan wasn't going all the way through the tube on the inside. Didn't know how to do the nozzle check or cleaning before either. You rock thanks!!!

    This video solved my problem, Thank You!! But now that this has happened and I have not had the printer more than 6 months and the flush used so much ink, so disregard the whole reason I paid this much for a printer was to save money on ink. Not Happy at all with this printer now. Will be reaching out to Canon. :( grrrrr But thank you for solving my issue!!

    Looked and tried many videos to correct my printing problem. This one did it!!!! I have subscribed and recommend all doing the same! I might add I'm 62 years old so technology is not my "gift" but so simply demonstrated even I could do it! (Didn't even need to call the granddaughter in! lol

    Thank you so much. Especially pointing out the tubes being empty. I was able to skip the deep clean and went right to my flush when I noticed the yellow and magenta tubes were empty. I'm guessing all that ink just refilled the tubes. Thanks again.

    Excellent Video! The flush worked and you brought up the fact that the ink ribbon is not wires it's the actual ink lines which you see through if they are empty or full.

I got the direct USB MFLABEL printer because of you & I watched all of your how-to videos to get things rolling smoothly ..,........ I love this printer and had no idea you could print thermal labels from your phone.     Awesome. A previous video showed "buying" a cleaner and syringe to purge printhead. Glad I kept looking because this was easy & free.
    FYI - Two of my ink tubes were empty, my printer said 8 mins, and it used about 1/4 tank of each color since I did them all. {From top bar (3/4) down to almost middle bar (1/2 full).

    Yippee!!! It worked just as yours did. My yellow was not printing, I went through all the steps and after the ink flush, all colors came back to me. Afterwards, like you I was curious where all the ink went, so I continued my research and found that there is a sponge in the back of the printer that collects all the waste ink. I've also found out that that sponge is not replaceable. So if or when the sponge has outlived its usefulness I guess the printer then becomes a doorstop. I Still love my printer and I haven't had to buy additional ink since its purchase. So I will be heartbroken if that report is true, and I have to retire my printer because of an irreplaceable full sponge. I will cross that bridge if and when it happens but thank you for your help with the issue at hand!!

    One color would not print, despite several deep cleanings. After watching your video, I tried the ink flush, and that fixed the problem. I was hesitant to do it before, because of the warning on how much ink would be wasted. I'd still like to know where the ink went. Thanks for the well-done video.

    Setup was easy through the app. I’m able to print from my phone and my computer. It connects to your home WiFi and you have to make an hp account to print wirelessly. Color looks great from the test sheet it printed. If you’re just printing words it’s pretty fast, the pictures took longer. It came with 1 black/1 color ink in the box which is nice, and free 6 months of ink up to 700 pages/month is great. Doesn’t do double sided printing but it copies and scans, so overall great value for what I need.

    Thank you!! I printed about 50 pages in color and then my printer started printing most color pages in red and I did a nozzle check, clean, and deep cleaning twice and nothing! The one thing I was scared to try is what you suggested (ink flush) and it works!!! I guess I thought Ink flush meant draining my ink but I got scared because I didn’t know where the ink was going to drain to lol. Thanks for the helpful advice!!

    When you lifted the lid to check if there was any ink in the tubes, I lifted my lid to check. Was shocked to see no ink in both tubes that I was lacking colour. Hopefully Ink Flush works :)

    I have had this printer for years and always one ink seems to stop working usually a few cleaning and deep cleanings fix it although it does seem to get worse before it gets better like your results but this time it was not working. The ink flush worked perfectly the first time thank you!

    I have the same question you have . Where did all the ink go ? Every time I use this printer I have to do an ink flush . If I don't use it for a week ? I have to do an ink flush . It's been this way for two years ! Is their a better fix ?

    Thank you! Our 7 year old Brother printer just died, and a friend was giving away a similar Canon printer that was no longer printing in color. I did this and got it working. Now it just needs a maintenance cartridge and we're good to go.

    Thank you, I'm know going to do this. The other research I've done shows when you do an ink flush the ink goes onto a sponge which then can cause other frustrating issues. Cannon need to change the sponge idea to a reserve tank that could be empty. That is a very disappointing part of the printer.

    Thank you for your video!! I couldn't figure out why it was only printing black and white and now I do. You saved me hours of trting to figure this out on my own. Your a lifesaver!
