Great info. Thank you! The ink cartridge was the problem. I had another set of ink cartridges for a different Canon printer that were brand new. They fit but would not communicate with the printer, so I popped off the chip from the old cartridges, popped them on the new, and thank goodness they worked beautifully. I was up until 3:00 am with a job that should have been done at 10pm easily. Cleaned printhead with hot water twice, dried it properly, refilled cartridges, ran print head cleaning 3 times. Nothing work and by pure luck, I had new cartridges from another model that fit. You better believe I was praying hard!! Moral of the story is don't wait until the last minute. The frustrating part was that the ink continually drained from the old cartridges. I guess they need to be replaced??
Wow, I had no idea such a simple cartridge was so complex. That's the issue I'm having right now. I thought it was the print head alone. This video is the most informative I've seen. Thank you.
This video has been life changing for me. I cannot thank you enough, excellent information. Thanks, you saved me from buying another printer, which I have in the past.
Oh my gosh, thank you! everything was printing green. Little dabs with a paper towel on the magenta cartridges - problem solved! You saved my sanity! :) Thanks!!!
Just bought a Canon Pixma ix6850 to print large prints and some photos, for learning. Your video was great learning, am going to use refillable cartridges to experiment cheaply. The printer was a display model and came without any packaging or cartridges or anything else. But at just over £50 fitted my budget, total of £125 for 100 A3 Kodak's photo paper, 3 year warranty and 5 sets of ink cartridges from the internet will get me started on digital photography. I woll try Canon cartridges when I get more confident. Your video helped a lot .
Thank you for your ongoing efforts in this forum. I am using a Canon Pixma MX 922. I had been using Costco refill cartridges with my previous identical printer, but since I mostly print in black and white, the color print heads got so clogged the printer was unusable, so I bought a new one and swore I wouldn't use refills anymore. I also made a practice of running a nozzle check weekly so things would keep running. That seemed to work, so I was able to print good looking photos. However, I still had a magenta Costco refill, and I broke my vow and put that in when my last magenta cartridge ran out. Today, I printed a photo, it looked awful. So I ran a nozzle check, and no magenta came through. I ran both regular and deep cleaning, but still no magenta. I replaced the cartridge with an OEM magenta, but still, no magenta on the nozzle check. What next???
That does not sound good. Let it sit and rest for a day or so and re run a nozzle check. No more deep cycles. Only regular ones. Followed by nozzle check. Also not more regular printing until you solve this or the print head will be permanently damaged.
Thanks for clearing up this for me and everyone else. I appreciate you and all the hard work that goes into making all of these most valuable important informative and information jam-packed videos.
This video has fixed everything. Thank you so much. My exact problem was this and you completely solved it with this helpful video. I learned a lot from just these 12 minutes from 4 years ago!! Thank you!
very good information, and well presented. I wonder if you know about UCR (Under Color Removal)? Most people don't realize that under normal settings, the colors combine to make black ink, using up a lot of colored ink unnecessarily. This can be avoided when printing black and white by setting the printer on 'grayscale'. This uses black only.
Yes many canon have that function but the results are not great as Dye black inks are never neutral. They tend to be purplish in actual color. So yellow and other colors are needed to help neutralize the results. There is not way to really get away from using ink!
Hi Jose, your videos have been very helpful! I just bought a used canon mx922 printer (my first printer ever) I’m getting code B200, I’ve flushed the print head using the kitchen sink, I just saw your video about placing a windex soaked paper towel under the cart (currently doing that right now!) How do I know if the print head needs to be replaced or if I should continue flushing/cleaning and get new ink tanks? Thanks so much for your videos they have been very helpful to expand my knowledge!!
Thank you so much! I was sitting here for a while thinking I would have to buy more printer ink, but then I watched this video and fixed it! Just by taking a paper towel and dabbing the sponge, it started working again! :D
Omg! my colour prints were very heavily skewed/tinted blue! I performed a pattern nozzle check and saw that I was getting no yellow ink in the print out. Used a cotton Q-tip to gently push the sponge up and saturate it with yellow ink as it had gotten a tad dry by the area where it would dispense... and walla!!! Perfect print!
Thank you, sir. I thought my 5220 had finally succumbed as two non-empty tanks had stopped printing. It turned out that the flow had stopped and no repeated head cleaning did nothing to improve the situation. i think heat/hot weather/hot ambient temperature led to drying and an air gap. It was white/dry at bottom of the tray where the sponge interfaces with the unit. With new insight from your video, I got the ink flowing again.
This was exactly my problem, I ran dry and lost sponge saturation. When I opened the rubber grommet, all the ink from the right was absorbed and only then did it bleed. Many thanks.
It't not supposed to drip while the Fill Plug is ini place. Once you remove it then it will drain regardless of original level. Make sure you fill when you reach low. Meaning the liquid chamber has JUST Reached empty and the sponge will then still be saturated and able to continue to deliver ink after you top off the liquid chamber.
Thanks sir Jose. My Canon MP280 which I had converted to CISS a few years ago, instead of pure yellow, it's printing light green. I've done 9 deep cleans. I wonder how can it be fixed? Thank you. God bless, Rev. 21:4
Hey! thank you for this video! i couldn't figure out why my yellow wasn't working, so I cleaned the print head after I watched another video about that...then i saw your video when the yellow wouldn't print, so I examined my cartridge and discovered my yellow was dry, despite the printer telling me I had 1/2 of the yellow remaining.
Your yellow cart must have leaked out. Usually that is due to a fill plug not fitting or sealing which will result in it leaking out like I demonstrate in this video.
My yellow color is not working also, i cant find out if its dry or not my printer is canon ip2770. Because of that some of my pictures are blue-ish tone and its stressing me out. 😭
Hello Jose Thanks for your tips. What to do with the same problem in a Canon Pixma Pro10? Only red color is not flowing and according with the canon aplication the cartige have more than 50%. Thanks!
Thank you - exactly what was wrong with my cartridge, even though the printer didn’t say ink low or out of ink. Have subscribed in case I need you advice again.
My canon ix6820 all of a sudden is printing only green and yello - I cleaned the print head with the solution. The nozzle check didn’t show the checks of the big black and magnets. Unfortunately even after deep clean etc it still prints only green and yellow - do I need to get a new print head or printer ? I also use edible ink for this printer
Mr.Rodriguez, I find your tutorials indispensable. Thank you. I am getting a spotty nozzle check in the photo black line on my Epson Surecolor P-600 printer. All the other lines render a good result on the nozzle check. The PK happens to be an Inkjet Mall cart. When I ordered it earlier this year, I filled it, and primed it, the prints I made with it were great. I believe I topped it off several weeks ago. Could the spotty nozzle check be a result of air getting into the line; "a flow problem." If there is air in the line, how do I get rid of it? if it is some other problem, what should I do? All the other carts are OEM. Again, the only cart that's rendering a bad nozzle check is the 3rd party cart. Thanks for all that you share with us.
Re prime that cart. Insert a syringe with a PLAIN tip into the port and suck back till you get ink. Top off the cart back to full and then you will have to run cleaning cycles till the nozzle check is once again 100%.
Hi Had a problem yesterday with my Canon Pixma 4700. No Yellow ink on prints. The yellow cartridge stated sufficient ink , Replaced it with a brand new cartridge But still no results after reading the details on this video I just took out the new cartridge squeezed it "Gently" replaced and yes it worked I believed that I had not used the printer for some while, and with the low amount of in in the old cartridge (although stating it was enough) the sponge part in the cartridge had dried out Printer although quite old is working fine fingers crossed . Thank you for sorting my problem out
What the chip reports and what is actually present in the cart can be totally different. The thing that will kill any Canon printer is not using it or using compatible carts.
I do look at all your videos. Thanks for your information. My question to you though, Why is Canon MB2320 giving me Error Code 5207 after I cleaned the Print Head and changed the cartridges? Canon has no explanation for me, but offer to sell me another printer. I really love this printer, and will like to get it fixed. Any advise will be appreciated.
Cleaned??? You mean you removed it and manually cleaned or do you mean you ran CLEANING cycles? Did you GOOGLE that error? ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ErrorCode/MB2300%20series/EN/ERR/5207.html?ref=5207
I have a Pro 10. I have been printing the last few weeks with no issues. Replaced the ink with cannon ink only. Now I am not getting any color. When I print a test page I don't have anything from the PC, Y, M, R and PM heads. I replaced the cartridges with cannon ink and did a few cleaning cycles. The color level on them is dropping but still get nothing from a test print. Also, I am printing from a MackBook Pro from lightrooom.
Is this a new printer? If it is relatively new like less than a year old you should call Canon and have them look into this as this does not sound right.
Jose Rodriguez yeah. Got it for Christmas. Only has about 25 prints on it so far. Was hoping to print over the weekend. Just seemed odd that all stopped at the same time. Was hoping it was a simple setting I might have accidentally selected. Will definitely call support on Monday.
Hey I have a Canon mx700 and my ink catridge is leaking from the bottom and I don't have a clip as shown in your video .How would I go around that? and the air vent, do I need to drill a hole or just leave it alone? Thank you this video helps a lot.
Hi Jose. Thanks a lot for the information. I'll be sure to take a note of that if ever I encounter one. I however have a question for you. Your assistance will surely help me a lot. I have a Canon Pixma 2770. When it ran out of ink, I took the liberty of refilling it while watching a video here on RUclips. I made sure I carefully followed all the steps not missing any single detail. Now, the thing is, it can now only print the CYAN ink, and prints a very blurred black- mostly indistinguishable. I can't afford to buy a new printer. What would you suggest I do to keep all the colors working? Thanks a lot and I really hope to hear from you.
All I can tell you is that you messed up the refilling. If it worked before that and no it does not then it has to be due to the refilling. Those cartridge types are not easy to refill and their integrated circuitry / print head can only be used...well... once. They are not modern carts that any modern CANON Printer would currently use..
Jose Rodriguez Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the time you have given me. I am from the Philippines. I really had hope that there was a chance for me fixing it and what I did was reversible since I really need a printer. :( But, nonetheless, thank you very much..
It depends. I know people who used to have a print making business and used 100 pro 100 printers and refilled with Precisioncolors. After about 50 refills they would reflush and rejuvenate their carts. Certain carts like cyan which internally in the printhead has the longest pathway would need to be rejuvenated about every 25 refills. These people mastered this process and had people whose only job was the work on the carts.
The normally do not have that plug. There the original CLI-42 Carts for the pro-100 which you have to modify for refilling. Check on the CLI-42 Playlist for all the videos detailing everything you need to do. Just F member to never consider third party refillable or compatible carts and only use the OEM carts.
Check Ebay, they have modified caartridges that have been flushed and re-set. All you have to do is fill them with the correct color ink and insert them into your computer. These are to fit the Canon Pro 100 et
HI so what should I do to the sponge if this has happened? i think this is my problem. Also where can I purchase ink to refill my on my own? Thank you I have a Canon pixma 100 and am newish to the world of printing. you have been very helpful! thankyou
Also, if you’re a bit daft like me, check that the cartridge is installed correctly and that the tab has been pulled off, and hopefully save yourself the headache of trying to work our why you can’t print one colour!
Hi! What about for the CISS Canon IP2700? One of the color is not printing. Can you please explain. Do I have to fill the air tank? It will be so helpful if you make a video for it. Thanks! :)
I have no idea. First I do not recommend CISS cor Canon. I do not know your specific model nor do I even know what your CISS desjgn looks like. But generally you probably have air in your cart, ink line. Check the line and cart for that color.
The cartridge type is CL811 for color.. the color yellow is not printing.. I realized that my sisters plugged the airhole when printing a week after that made the ink impossible to flow for a week.. Is the best way to fix it is by replacing the cartridge since a week passed by?
Hi, i have a canon pixma pro 9ooo mk 11. When i print a test page the yellow printed part is not just yellow. It starts of yellow and then gradients over to a pink color. Hence when i print, i end up with a pink overcast. I guess your the guy to ask why. Have changed carts, cleaned jets, Thanks Jose................regards John.
Hi Jose, I am using Canon Pix G1000 printer. In the nozzle test check Magenta color is not printing at all. Have performed the cleaning and deep cleaning. Unfortunately there is no way to take out the Magenta color box from this printer. What should I do?
I'm also having a problem with Cyan not being printed. Canon Pixma iP4500, original cartidges Chromalife100, newly bought. Doing a nozzle check, the top cyan bar is not printed. the two below are. I checked the cartridge, ink is flowing into the sponge.
I don't know that particular model too well but it seems to be just a 4 color model so all I can suggest is to run cleaning cycles followed by another nozzle check and compare it to the previous one for any improvements. If this JUST happened out of the blue I would would suspect it is not a true clog but something else more serious. The printer sit for a while unused? Were you running other inks that were not OEM before the problem showed up?
If only I've seen this earlier! I have let too much air into my inks and now my printer doesn't work at all. I might have burnt out my printer head. Do you recommend buying a new printer head off of ebay ? I can't even check my cartridges because my printer won't even align them in the middle when I open it up.
Did you try to print actual photos with it??? If you did for an extended number of prints then you probably damaged it. FIrst of all Alignment will not be performed successfully if your nozzle check is not perfect to begin with. What do you mean you got too much air in your carts? If you do get a print head make sure that it is indeed an unopened new one. Then you can not use the carts you are currently using or you will experience the same problem again.
I have a canon pro 100 for 2 years, and my tanks had a lot of white in it, more than shown in the video above. While I had replaced PM, PC and Y before, they're the more abused ones. I had been really lax on refilling them on time and has refilled them when the tank had been empty lots and lots of times without replacing a new ink cartridges. Now the orange and power lights blink alternatively and I can't print anything. The only solution was to contact services and they told me I'd have to replace my printer. I'm hoping replacing the print head and getting a new set of ink cartridges will solve the problem. Thank you so much for replying !
Be careful. If your logic oard is bad it will fry any new head you instal. The problem is, you can't easily test if the board is bad. Perfect catch 22.
Hi Jose, I have a Pro 1. It has been printing alright but just all of a sudden yellow was missing...I checked the yellow cartridge it is maybe half full. Does your technique also works for pigment ink? Thanks so much!
Half full reported by the chip or actually physically half full Full is 84 grams and empty is 44 grams. Oh and no. You should not be clogging just because it;'s pigment ink. The PRO-1 is designed for pigment ink. I hope you are refilling OEM carts and not using prefilled compatibles!
@@cheo1949 I just shaked it gently and felt that it was about half full. I bought the refills and chips from precision colors and the cartridges from you. It's been working great until recently. Any idea what could have gone wrong?
@@foreversnow124 Ok then do this. Fill it full so it weighs 84 grams. The perform cleaning cycles BUT only choose the 4 channel GROUP #2 which includes YELLOW and follow that with another nozzle check. If it is good then you are done, But if not let it rest overnight and follow with a deep clean but using GROUP#2 and follow that with another Nozzle check and hopefully it will clear of what ever it was blocking it. Possibly air.
No just top off simply so you KNOW for sure you have enough ink. Once that chip is declared empty you can then top it back up to full and then replace the chip with a new one. No point to waste the current chip since it is still indicating 50% right?
Hey I have a question about fade with Precision Colors Pro100 inks. If I print on genuine canon paper and then laminate the print in a standard home laminating pouch, how long would you expect it to last before there was any noticeable fade, like if you had to ballpark a guess. A month, six months, a year, more?
@@cheo1949 maybe I should print my own tombstone. But let’s say the laminate only protects it as much as a plastic sleeve. I’ve found prints on the pro100 to be really high quality for graphics, noticeably better looking than standard material from print shops. And you can put photos in them not just graphics. So I’ve been making one offs, trimming them with my auto blade, and laminating them so they can be handled and last for years. But will the precision colours ink last for years. The cost of the genuine ink is relatively small compared to the project but it’d be handy to use the PC ink if I knew it could last a year or three years at least. Or if it lasted six months, clients need one-off marketing material for short periods too.
Hi Jose, I have a Canon MG6120. The cyan is not printing. The check pattern shows all the ink colors but not the cyan. I've already used two new cyan cartridges and neither work. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
Assuming you are NOT refilling of using Compatible carts, you have a bad, possibly dead Cyan Channel. It's that simple. You can either get a new print head or a new printer. Both will cost about the same. By the way I do not use any of the CANON Printers except the PRO lines 13" wide and larger so I am at all not familiar with non of the regular letter size printers.
Very helpful video! You mention using only OEM cartridges, but I haven't found any refillable Canon-branded cartridges for my MG5220 (which uses # 225 and 226 carts). Does Canon not make any refillable carts for those? Assuming not, is there a brand you would recommend? I've been bringing my OEM Canon cartridges to Costco for refill, but the last round isn't really working. I'm wondering whether it got too dried out inside and it's time to fully replace, in which case the transparent casing seems like a far better way to see what's going on. Been thinking about the InkOwl option, if you have any comment about the quality of those.
Canon does not and has never made refillable carts. You refill your original ones after modifying them them. I don't know what those 225 - 226 carts look like. Are they opaque? I have no clue what may be happening as like I said I do not know how they are constructed. By the way I do not trust 3rd party refillable carts for any Canon printer. If you find them use them at your own risk.
Oh, I think I misunderstood - so the cartridge you're showing in the video is a transparent cart that Canon made (I didn't know they made any transparent ones) that you modified to have a rubber plug on top (didn't realize those were available, but that makes sense)? My Canon cartridges are indeed opaque black. I can't really tell what's going on with them internally, even whether there's sufficient ink in them. I think I'll take my chances with a 3rd party cart instead of trying to make these ones work, since I can't tell what condition the sponges are in or the state of the ink or anything.
I have a Canon MG 3520 color ink cart in empty but I have it set to blk and white which is full but tells me color is empty but don't need color to print black. Whats my issue? Keep getting a message saying color is out

Hi Jose, what about if my magenta on Canon G3400 is not comming out ? thank you
Hi, I have had my pixma Pro 100 for 3 1/2 years and have filled two sets of oem carts with precision color's inks. I have filled trouble free, 2 sets 21 times each = 42 cycles or 42 times I have refilled. I never had a problem until now where my cyan ink is not flowing properly. I just saw your video on cart inkflow. I have done both inkflow tests as demonstrated in your video as well as cleanings. The problem is still the same with both cyan carts. I did the drip test and from that the carts look like there is inkflow. My cyan test print is still coming out very faintly which looks like either the print head is shot or somehow the ink is still not flowing properly from my cyan cart. But this is happening on both cyan carts. All other colors print normally. How many cycles normally should one get out of a print head? Should I replace print head, cyan carts, or both? thanks.
Cyan is the color on far right of the print head. That I've been told causes ultimate ink flow problems after many refilling cycles. Re flush and do not print anything but nozzle checks so as not to damage the printhead.
@@cheo1949 Thanks Joe. Will try the flush. Off hand do you know typically how long a print head should last if kept in optimal maintenance? I have been doing very well with all you have advised over these past 3 1/2 years and 42 cycles! Thanks so much for all your videos and advice.
Hi! I use PG830 CL831 inks for my canon printer. After refill, it prints every other line. I was wondering if you would have any idea if my problem is the cartridge or the printhead? I was deciding on buying new cartridges but I saw this video. I have been refilling it on my own so I guess there may be chances that ive burned out the printhead? i did all the maintenance cleaning found on the printer settings and the print tests were really bad.
There's no way that I can tell you specifically what is going on but it's a good possibility that the printhead indeed is damaged and that can occur very easily on Canon printers as they are very delicate especially when you begin to refill. The process has to be done perfectly in order for you to be able to print as if those cartridges were just out of the box.
My cyan cartridge 221 is being a pest. Tests okay, when I print anything with cyan it often prints pink. Ive already done a wash cleaning. Any long term recommendations?
Have you done a Nozzle Check to determine if the CYAN channel is blocked? Is it a real original cart or not? DO NOT PRINT until you solve the non printing channel. Or you will permanently damage the print head.
In one of you'er earler posts you mentioned where you buy you ink and cartridge supplies but I did not understand what you said. Would you please write it out? Thank You.
Not sure exactly what you want to.know but If you mean third party inks and refillable cartridge I get those from www.precisioncolors.com at this time. For oem inks which use for refilling Epson pigment ink printers I get my Epson large volume carts from different seller on ebay.
Hi. I have pixma printer, printer and ink is brand new but the printer does not print color well. Very faded.. i did what you did and all is well. What else can it be.
Hello I am having problems with my Pink and purples. My ink is flowing and I have refilled them. Pink and purples look like burnt red. or burgundy. I have never changed print settings. Could that be the issue?
???? I need printer make and model. I need to see a nozzle check and what OS and printing application and all app and printer settings. I need to know the inks you are using. Remember that unless your monitor is accurately and properly calibrator for color contrast and luminosity you can not guarantee that what you are seeing on it can be reproduced by your printer.
My Canon printer is only picking up two colors and printer is not picking yellow color .I tried everything out but still there is no solution So should i change the cartridge?
My 251 Canon cartridges aren't clear, so I can't see the ink levels, and they are built different than your example. They've been refilled at Costco, and I always have spares, some XL and some the original smaller tank. Costco puts a white sticker over what's probably the fill port, so I'm guessing you'd say that I should remove the orange cap, hold the tank over a paper towel, and peel back the sticker to check free flow. But I can't see how low the tank gets in the process. All that said, when I put in different cartridges I still don't get yellow or black on my MG7520, giving poorly colored photo prints. So shouldn't that point at a bad printhead? I got so aggravated (this is my 5th Canon printer and 4th photo printer) that I bought a $300 Brother color laser printer for non-photo printing and I love it. It's photos aren't all that bad either, just not the best, but at least there's no more confounded and costly cartridge issues!
COSTCO?????? How do you even know those carts are even flowing ink? Are you still trying to print? When your carts?are obviously likely not providing ink? Perfect way to kill a Canon print head.
CANON Printer? You did not say. It is rather unlikely that every single nozzle is plugged. Are you refilling? I would love more details as I can't even begin to guess what could be wrong.
Mine is doing the exact same thing. It says its printing but I get blank paper coming out. I tried everything from deep cleaning the heads to changing the ink cartridges. Now I'm looking for a replacement printer.
where can i get the refill ink? My black is not working but there is still ink in both black cartridges. I didnt totally understand when you can refill and when you need to replace
Not sure what you mean! You can refill any of your carts whenever you want but always when they are LOW meaning the liquid reservoir just became empty or is about to become empty. What is your worry about the black cart?
my canon G2010 magenta is just not printing - I do not have a ink cartridge that looks like yours in the video - do you know how I can fix this? I did 2 nozzel checks and blue black and yellow prints but not the magenta?
I do not use nor know too much about the G series. All I can tell you is that the magenta channel is clogged or your cart is not provide any ink. Are you using original inks? I hope so.
Hi Jose, I have a Mac and use red river paper. I asked a couple days ago saying my prints were coming out with face tones really red and a lot of purple. At first I thought I had refilled the wrong ink in magenta and photo magenta. I did a test print ,deep cleaning and the papers look good. I then bought new carts from PC refilled them and I get the same thing except if I use plain paper then all colors are fine. If I use photo paper like Ultrapro Satin it has those purple hues. So I guess there is something wrong with my paper profiles. What should I do and how do I go about correcting this problem? should I uninstall everything and start over? Don't know if I have wrong profiles or how it happened Sorry Im new to this and would be very greatful for your help
If your yellow cart flowing properly? MAC OS does not seem to get along very well with many printer drivers. Here is one such example. www.printerknowledge.com/threads/epson-surecolor-p800-icc-profiles-where-do-they-live.11285/#post-94993
I have no CYAN on my Canon Pixma 922. The cleaning test sheet shows all colors good, except CYAN.... which is completely blank. The non-refillable replacement "chip" cart is 80% full. What can I do?
Hi @Jose , It's my first time to refill my cartridge and the color is not as bright as before. It is too dull. What should I do? I put the settings into high and also increase the darkness and still my purple and red color is too dull. What is wrong with it? Is it because of the quality of the ink?
I have no idea what to tell you as you have not provided me with any actual details. Printer, Model, Ink, Paper, Driver Settings, Editing Application, Operating System, you printing work flow, is it color managed?
Thanks! Since this procedure is NOT really supposed to be done as It will never match the efficiency of a NON tampered factory filled cart you need to be ultra careful and make sure you have done everything possible to ensure the best ink flow you can provide.
My black ink for Canon MP280 won’t print. I have cleaned the nozzles multiple times and changed the ink but the problem hasn’t resolved. Any ideas please?
Interesting. I have a canon MG7720. It says I'm printing but get blank pages. All the ink has a red light on but its not blinking. It did this before the cartridges were were empty but I reloaded with new ones anyway. I tried cleaning the heads but it doesn't change. I don't see any plug on the cartridge that I can unplug to allow more air flow. I've been looking for another printer.
You've probably bought another printer by now, but your problem will doubtless recur if you don't use your printer frequently enough. The print head is probably clogged with dried up-ink to the point that the machine's cleaning cycle won't clear its ports. You have to take the whole print-head out of the machine and use various washing/soaking techniques that you can find videos for. Getting the head out of the 7720 is a bit fiddly, and the cleaning is tedious. Jose's cartridges have plugs on them because he modified them by first drilling a hole, filling the cartridge with ink from a syringe, then plugging the hole up with the little rubber plug. There are kits for this. Doesn't always work very well. I sympathize because I am currently trying to rehabilitate my own 7720, but it may be a lost cause. Good luck.
same problem. tried the washing out. doesn't work.. i'm biting the bullet and have ordered a new print head and refillable ink cartridges and ink. It does try to print black so we'll see. Id rather not have to throw out my mg7760 as it is hard to find a printer that can print on a blank dvd.
That is a problem that means your print head does not receive the signals to trigger INK to be ejected. I have a printer just like that. Nothing much you can do except replace it.
Hello! I just want to ask what should I do to my epson l360. The black ink tank was drained and after seeing the blank pages because of the empty ink tank I refilled it immediately but the black ink doesn't working now even if I already refilled it. What should I do now?
I have a Canon IP2770 with a 6 months color cartridge. It was printed normal before, but suddenly it stopped printing yellow color. I tried to refill it but still not printing yellow. I searched on google I found some way: Wash the bottom of the cartridge with a little bit of alcohol, it didn't work. Use a little warm water on the bottom of cartridge, still didn't work. Finally I decided to buy a new color cartridge, but still not printing yellow. Is my printer broken, or did I do something wrong?
Hey i have same problem as you but instead of yellow it doesnt print red color it prints it as a yellow but other colors are fine. I have tryed many solution but still didnt work. Please tell me if you find one
You don't seem to get that we CAN reset and refill the original cartridges. In the example I show it it cost me 70 cents to refill. I can do all 8 cartridges for less than $7. Compatible cartridges DO NOT have the same internal construction as OEM which again, you can reuse and operate many fold better than 3rd party equivalents. Trust me been there for over 22 years dealing with Ink jet printers. Also remember we are talking about PRO Photo printers costing hundreds of dollars and pounds. Not All in One office types casting $100. I could care less about the after market products you might use with those.
my canon printer can't print yellow.i've checked the nozzle and have a print out of it and found out that still yeoolw is invisible.please help. thank you.
Did you refill your YELLOW cart without first flushing out ALL of the Original OEM Ink? If you didn't your print head is shot. If you as still using OEM yellow ink and NOT refilling then you still have a problem. If under warranty I could place a call to the Seller or to CANON. If you bought it from an EBAYer then you are sadly ion your own.
Why have you not run a nozzle check so you know which color channel is blocked. You also never told me what printer and model and whether younare using third party unreliable products rather than originals.
I haven't used my printer in a very long time. I now checked all my cartridges and its all empty one side. Can I no longer use it? I normally buy cartridges not the bottle of liquid.
My friend I have no clue what you are asking. First of all you need to tell us what printer you are talking about. If it is a sponge cart based Canon printer and your current carts are dried up that your printhead will very likely also be completely clogged. New carts will be needed to check the printhead condition. And a lot of good luck.
Hello. I have a canon pixma ts 5040. I have refilled the original cartiges that came with several times and i have accidently damaged the black one . I think it lets air go in . And now when i print the black ink doesn't seem to work. Help please
Jose I have a brand new Canon Pixma TS6020 I have a cake business so I bought this printer to use with edible ink. I have tried to set up the printer, it recognizes the cartridges (compatible) because they are edible ink and it prints up the print head alignment images but when I try to print in color it came up grey like black and white but the image was color. Then I tried again and now it print nothing. What could this be? Both the printer and cartridges are brand new
So even on regular paper you do not get CMYK printing? I do not know that model at all so I can not begin to guess what it would be. What driver settings are you choosing. Hope fully "Photo Printing" if it is like other CANON Drivers you have a choice for B&W only as well.
Jose Rodriguez photo copy scan all the same. I did what you said in this video and opened the rubber top until ink drops out and then closed it and reinstalled the cartridges. I tried copying again and I got a colored copy. So we shall see of it continues
You carts were not delivering ink. Be very careful as printing with carts that are not delivering ink will very efficiently permanently burn out your print head,
I can not tell you why.either as they are compatible carts and those carts are to tell you the truth pretty much 100% total garbage. The only successful way to safely use a CANON printer with any other inks but OEM is to modify the carts ( If it is even possible ) so you can manually refill them with your choice of quality third party inks whether edible or toxic photo type! An EPSON Printer that can be used with third party inks would have been a much better choice. Better Compatible carts as well as refillable cart choices. Not so with CANON. Why did you choose that particular canon printer?
Jose, I've got a Canon MP480 printer that I use with my Mac. For some reason, the magenta color is not printing at all. I've done several cleanings to unclog the nozzle and still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks!
It can only be one of two things. It's either the cart not flowing or the print head magenta channel is clogged beyond help. Are you using OEM carts? If not then I am almost 100% it is the cart and if so then the head may also already be affected.
Original Equipment Manufacture's ink cart. So you are these originals or compatibles. If so then that may be the problem. That plus the print head may be permanently clogged. Try some new original carts to see if that solves the problem.
Hi! I tried to set my new canon printer. I install my ink and was about to load up paper. i accidentally touched the power cord and came off. I put it back on. All of a sudden, the inks are not flashing red lights. I do not understand the situation. Can you help me? Thanks.
@@cheo1949 Two days ago, I switched off my printer for 2 hours. Then I switched the printer on and my inks started flashing red light constantly. I installed my printer and successfully printed out my paperwork. Thanks :)
I bought brandnew ink cartridge for my cannon mg3050 it been happening more often than normal it will print green or redy colour why do this happen with brand new ink cartridges also have had low on black ink I'm paying 25 a time this has happen 3 times this month why does not print the right colours I've Google but I can't found my answers getting so fed up buying inks for nothing
Are you doing nozzle checks? If any color is not printing 100% it will cause an opposite shift in color balance. Always do that after any cart change and run a cleaning cycle to insure ink is actually flowing. You are using original inks?
Hello everyone, I am having a different problem. My printer shows ink levels but they are incorrect. It will show half full and the ink will be completely out. I will replace it and run a cleaning because the pictures will not print with proper color and the regular cleaning and deep cleaning test page will print as if everything is fine. But when i go to print again the colors still are not printing properly, it is either fading, or has partial lines of the color it should be. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
What printer??? You didn't say. If it's not a photo printer I probably can't help. Are you using real original carts or compatible non originals. They are horrible and often will come with much less ink so the ink levels reported never match your actual ink levels in the cart. You will experience exactly what you are describing.
hello Jose, great video, please help, I have a canon pixma ix6850 that i use for edible printing, i came across a bit of problem so i bought a new set of carts, cleaned the printhead but unfortunately, I still cant get colour red, I have followed the steps in this video but no luck, any advise please? thank you
Using refillable carts on a Canon? Never a good idea. Either the red cart is not feeding ink or the print head channel is clogged. So when did this occur? During printing? This is a classic cart problem or the head has failed on that channel!
Don't know what you mean. You have gaps, lines? Some of your nozzles could be clogged which would instantly show up in a nozzle.check. Or your carts may not be providing sufficient ink flow. That needs to be tested as I showed in this video.
Hi. After I filled the yellow ink the red lamp is on, but when I try to print it shows code 1412 that a cartridge must be replaced. I changed to a new cartridge and the same problem continues as the red lamp goes off as soon as I close the lid of the printer
You changed to a Brand New One OEM matching cart and still get the not recognized error code???? Check the contacts on the print head and make sure they are clean. Or power off the printer and pull the plug for about 30 minutes and retry. If it still will not recognize a brand new OEM cart then you need to call CANON Support. If the RED LED lights up when you pop the cart in it should recognize it.
WAIT, did you use the Replacement Cart without changing the OEM Yellow chip to IT??? No you do not have to do ALL colors. But the Cart you received does NOT have the OEM chip on it. You must fetch that from your original YELLOW cart that came with you printer. If you do not have it you will need a new OEM Yellow cart.
Hi Sir I have a big problem. I purchase an edible ink but I install most of them an it was fine but when I got to one of the black ones an o gushing black ink what can I do.
What carts did you use? Originals or refillables? If original then you messes up the fill hole and it is not sealing thus causing an uncontrolled leak.
I took a brand New dropper removed the excess ink out place back the orange cap n refilled it with the ink n stop leakage n it work. When I saw the it was leaking like that I didn't even put it in the printer I started searching online what could of been done I saw your video n this idea that I mention before it seems to work. Now works fine. I thank u for all the advice that u give cause if a would of put it like that in the printer would of been a huge disaster.
Great info.
Thank you.
There is a lot of design and engineering in those carts.
This video has been life changing for me. I cannot thank you enough, excellent information. Thanks, you saved me from buying another printer, which I have in the past.
Glad it was helpful to you!
Hurrah! I did as you said, and all is well. Now I have a lovely photo of my granddaughter in all her colorful glory! Thank you so much.
Thank you!
Plz send any technician for repairing this printer
very good information, and well presented.
Five minutes into this and my ink is flowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank YOU!!!!
Thank you so very much! I was ready to throw my printer out the window, but your advice worked and saved it!
Great!
Thank you so much! I was sitting here for a while thinking I would have to buy more printer ink, but then I watched this video and fixed it! Just by taking a paper towel and dabbing the sponge, it started working again! :D
Glad I could help!
Omg! my colour prints were very heavily skewed/tinted blue! I performed a pattern nozzle check and saw that I was getting no yellow ink in the print out. Used a cotton Q-tip to gently push the sponge up and saturate it with yellow ink as it had gotten a tad dry by the area where it would dispense... and walla!!! Perfect print!
Interesting fix.
Solved my problem & saved my printheads, ink cartridges and printer. Thanks!
Great to hear
Thank you, sir. I thought my 5220 had finally succumbed as two non-empty tanks had stopped printing. It turned out that the flow had stopped and no repeated head cleaning did nothing to improve the situation. i think heat/hot weather/hot ambient temperature led to drying and an air gap. It was white/dry at bottom of the tray where the sponge interfaces with the unit. With new insight from your video, I got the ink flowing again.
Great.
@@cheo1949 Jose, my printer is still showing that there's ink in the cartridge but the reservoir is empty. What would give me that false reading?
Thanks sir Jose. My Canon MP280 which I had converted to CISS a few years ago, instead of pure yellow, it's printing light green. I've done 9 deep cleans. I wonder how can it be fixed?
Thank you.
God bless, Rev. 21:4
Amazing video. That let me know much much more about my printer ink cartridge. Thanks from bottom of my heart
good info on what causes the printhead to burn out....
All thermal print heads will succumb to overheating. Canon, HP, Brothers, and others.
Hey! thank you for this video! i couldn't figure out why my yellow wasn't working, so I cleaned the print head after I watched another video about that...then i saw your video when the yellow wouldn't print, so I examined my cartridge and discovered my yellow was dry, despite the printer telling me I had 1/2 of the yellow remaining.
Your yellow cart must have leaked out. Usually that is due to a fill plug not fitting or sealing which will result in it leaking out like I demonstrate in this video.
It's an old cartridge.
My canon ix6820 all of a sudden is printing only green and yello -
I cleaned the print head with the solution. The nozzle check didn’t show the checks of the big black and magnets. Unfortunately even after deep clean etc it still prints only green and yellow - do I need to get a new print head or printer ? I also use edible ink for this printer
Thanks for the very thorough explanation and the suggestions.
The yellow cartridge stated sufficient ink , Replaced it with a brand new cartridge
But still no results after reading the details on this video I just took out the new cartridge squeezed it "Gently" replaced and yes it worked I believed that I had not used the printer for some while, and with the low amount of in in the old cartridge (although stating it was enough) the sponge part in the cartridge had dried out Printer although quite old is working fine fingers crossed .
Nah... That would never happen just becasue of any settings I know.
Hey I have a Canon mx700 and my ink catridge is leaking from the bottom and I don't have a clip as shown in your video .How would I go around that? and the air vent, do I need to drill a hole or just leave it alone? Thank you this video helps a lot.
Is it an OEM cartridge? I am also not familiar with that model.
But, nonetheless, thank you very much..
You are welcome!
Jose, from your experience, how many refillfs on an OEM cartridge can I get before I should replace it with a new OEM cartridge?
Great video, very informative. Thanks!
What type of OEM CARTRIDGES are clear with a plug like that? Where might i find those?
The normally do not have that plug. There the original CLI-42 Carts for the pro-100 which you have to modify for refilling. Check on the CLI-42 Playlist for all the videos detailing everything you need to do. Just F member to never consider third party refillable or compatible carts and only use the OEM carts.
Check Ebay, they have modified caartridges that have been flushed and re-set. All you have to do is fill them with the correct color ink and insert them into your computer. These are to fit the Canon Pro 100
et
Excellent tutorial but my problem is that ink suddenly stopped flowing in all cartilages could it be print head. I've tried refilling to no avail.
HI so what should I do to the sponge if this has happened? i think this is my problem. Also where can I purchase ink to refill my on my own? Thank you I have a Canon pixma 100 and am newish to the world of printing. you have been very helpful! thankyou
If what happens to your sponge??? All the supplies needed can be purchased from www.precisioncolors.com
Also, if you’re a bit daft like me, check that the cartridge is installed correctly and that the tab has been pulled off, and hopefully save yourself the headache of trying to work our why you can’t print one colour!
Yes!!!!
Oh you have one of those models. Sorry but I don't know that model. I only use pro level printers.
Hi Jose, Thank you for this video. I have a question.....What if I do not have the orange clip?
Then you better find a third party provider that will sell the cartridge Clips. You really need to have them.

Hi Jose, I have a Pro 1. It has been printing alright but just all of a sudden yellow was missing...I checked the yellow cartridge it is maybe half full. Does your technique also works for pigment ink? Thanks so much!
Half full reported by the chip or actually physically half full
Full is 84 grams and empty is 44 grams.
@@cheo1949 Thanks for the reply! If I top up the ink, should I also change a new chip?
No just top off simply so you KNOW for sure you have enough ink. Once that chip is declared empty you can then top it back up to full and then replace the chip with a new one. No point to waste the current chip since it is still indicating 50% right?
Hey I have a question about fade with Precision Colors Pro100 inks. If I print on genuine canon paper and then laminate the print in a standard home laminating pouch, how long would you expect it to last before there was any noticeable fade, like if you had to ballpark a guess. A month, six months, a year, more?
If you exclude OZONE and UV light which I don't think lamination would, it would out live you.
Keep getting a message saying color is out
Hi Jose, what about if my magenta on Canon G3400 is not comming out ? thank you
No idea. I do not know what those carts look like. Are you refilling those???
Should I replace print head, cyan carts, or both? thanks.
It might be the cyan print head channel going bad. Try a new OEM cart to eliminate your carts and the print head from being the culprit.
Cyan is the color on far right of the print head. That I've been told causes ultimate ink flow problems after many refilling cycles. Re flush and do not print anything but nozzle checks so as not to damage the printhead.
@@cheo1949 Thanks so much Joe. I will try and flush. I have also ordered a new print head should this one be actually bad.
@@cheo1949 Thanks Joe. Will try the flush. Off hand do you know typically how long a print head should last if kept in optimal maintenance? I have been doing very well with all you have advised over these past 3 1/2 years and 42 cycles! Thanks so much for all your videos and advice.
My PRO-100 will been around for almost 7 years this August! NUT.... CANON print heads that are used heavily will only last about 2-3 years.
@@cheo1949 Thank you so much that you're still replying to your old videos! I really appreciate the reply!
HOw could have done what I did? I am using a modified cart. Your should not be or....is it?
Your suggestion worked for my old Canon mx920 using Office Max ink refills. Thanks
Awesome!
@@cheo1949 how can I send you the pictures?
My Canon printer is only picking up two colors and printer is not picking yellow color .I tried everything out but still there is no solution So should i change the cartridge?
Picking up? Do you mean not printing? Are you refilling? If not done correctly your ink delivery will not be optimal.
Hello, I'm getting nothing but blank pages its printing but blank ! Is it possible that the print head is completely clogged?
CANON Printer? You did not say. It is rather unlikely that every single nozzle is plugged. Are you refilling? I would love more details as I can't even begin to guess what could be wrong.
Thank you very much okay for responding to my question right after further inspection I did realize that after I put new ink in the
The vents on the cartridge were blocked working properly now.. And thanks again
Ah.... I didn't even want to speculate on that. That will definitely do it. Glad it is sorted out.
Mine is doing the exact same thing. It says its printing but I get blank paper coming out. I tried everything from deep cleaning the heads to changing the ink cartridges. Now I'm looking for a replacement printer.
Are these the ones you use? JG4.0BC-18-0.5 Jensen Global 4oz Cylinder Style Bottle W/ Luer Lock Cap, 18-0.5 Needle (10 per bag)
No I order Medical grade ones from Amazon. Have a look at my Amazon page.
www.amazon.com/shop/joserodriguez
where can i get the refill ink? My black is not working but there is still ink in both black cartridges. I didnt totally understand when you can refill and when you need to replace
Not sure what you mean! You can refill any of your carts whenever you want but always when they are LOW meaning the liquid reservoir just became empty or is about to become empty.
What is your worry about the black cart?
@@cheo1949 it appears to be full but isn't printing. I took it out and shook it team it printed very faint. I'm not sure why it stopped printing
Thank you Joe, I will try that. Thanks.
Awesome, saved me from buying a new printer!
my canon G2010 magenta is just not printing - I do not have a ink cartridge that looks like yours in the video - do you know how I can fix this? I did 2 nozzel checks and blue black and yellow prints but not the magenta?
I do not use nor know too much about the G series. All I can tell you is that the magenta channel is clogged or your cart is not provide any ink. Are you using original inks? I hope so.
@@cheo1949 thanks for your reply, I got it fixed! Yes I do use original inks.
Great.
Hi Jose,
I have a Mac and use red river paper. Don't know if I have wrong profiles or how it happened
Sorry Im new to this and would be very greatful for your help
If your yellow cart flowing properly? MAC OS does not seem to get along very well with many printer drivers. Here is one such example. www.printerknowledge.com/threads/epson-surecolor-p800-icc-profiles-where-do-they-live.11285/#post-94993
I have no CYAN on my Canon Pixma 922. The cleaning test sheet shows all colors good, except CYAN.... which is completely blank. The non-refillable replacement "chip" cart is 80% full. What can I do?
But does it actually have ink??
@@cheo1949 - Yes, the ink seeps out of the fill chamber, once I depress the sponge part, with a Q-Tip
So did you run a nozzle check? If the cart is not flowing ink it will display a blank magenta channel.
Jose Rodriguez should I use another new cart? I have it on me
@@cheo1949 - Magenta is fine. I'm having problems with CYAN.
Excellent and very experienced advice. Thanks Alan
Are you using OEM ink? Your print head may be permanently clogged. Canon print heads have a life span.
Yes I am. I thought I would need a new printer as the same thing happened to my last one a few years ago. Thanks for the reply.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you.
Where do you get your bottles with the syringe needles?
Precisioncolors or Howard Electronics
Jose. CannonMG5650 PRINTER SOUNDS AS IT IS PRINTING , BUT NOTHING APPEARS ON THE PAPER ? Can you help ?
That is a problem that means your print head does not receive the signals to trigger INK to be ejected. I have a printer just like that. Nothing much you can do except replace it.
Hello! I just want to ask what should I do to my epson l360. The black ink tank was drained and after seeing the blank pages because of the empty ink tank I refilled it immediately but the black ink doesn't working now even if I already refilled it. What should I do now?
You need to re prime the cartridge. Never let them become empty.
How to re prime the cartridge sir?
Suck the air out of the carts from the exit port. Insert a plain tipped syringe and pull back until you get ink. Re fill it and install it.
Does This fix group 2 that isnt working on Canon pixma 100
I have a Canon IP2770 with a 6 months color cartridge. It was printed normal before, but suddenly it stopped printing yellow color. I tried to refill it but still not printing yellow. I searched on google I found some way: Wash the bottom of the cartridge with a little bit of alcohol, it didn't work. Use a little warm water on the bottom of cartridge, still didn't work. Finally I decided to buy a new color cartridge, but still not printing yellow. Is my printer broken, or did I do something wrong?
Not your printer, your printhead!
@@cheo1949 SO THEN WHAT?
@@mafrederick44 What do you want to know?
Hey i have same problem as you but instead of yellow it doesnt print red color it prints it as a yellow but other colors are fine. I have tryed many solution but still didnt work. Please tell me if you find one
You clearly know more about this than me, but you can't hate against knock-off ink-cartridges. Original ink set: 50+€; Knock-off ink set:
You don't seem to get that we CAN reset and refill the original cartridges. In the example I show it it cost me 70 cents to refill. I can do all 8 cartridges for less than $7. Compatible cartridges DO NOT have the same internal construction as OEM which again, you can reuse and operate many fold better than 3rd party equivalents. Trust me been there for over 22 years dealing with Ink jet printers. Also remember we are talking about PRO Photo printers costing hundreds of dollars and pounds. Not All in One office types casting $100. I could care less about the after market products you might use with those.
@@cheo1949 oh sorry i must have overheard that - in that case I'll shut up and try to learn how to do that myself.
Can I use Hydrogen Peroxide instead of Windex with the water?
No.
my canon printer can't print yellow.i've checked the nozzle and have a print out of it and found out that still yeoolw is invisible.please help.
My colour print out are in pink dominating colour. But print reports are showing all try colours. So please help me to get perfect print out.
Why have you not run a nozzle check so you know which color channel is blocked. You also never told me what printer and model and whether younare using third party unreliable products rather than originals.
now i understand ..i have to change cartridge now
Thanks this fixed our problem! :)
Awesome.
And a lot of good luck.
very helpful thank you jose
Happy to help
is this cartridge INK or liquid ink?
Aren't they the same??? Yes you are testing ink flow after refilling with your own 3rd party inks.
thank you for your videos, very helpful!!!!!
Thanks.
Hello. I have a canon pixma ts 5040. I have refilled the original cartiges that came with several times and i have accidently damaged the black one . I think it lets air go in . And now when i print the black ink doesn't seem to work. Help please
You should just get a brand new cart and start fresh. You do not want to.damage the printhead.
Be very careful as printing with carts that are not delivering ink will very efficiently permanently burn out your print head,
Jose Rodriguez I dint understand why both cartridges and printer are. Rand new. This was my first time setting up
I can not tell you why.either as they are compatible carts and those carts are to tell you the truth pretty much 100% total garbage.
Thanks for your quick response, Jose. Forgive my ignorance, but what is an OEM cart? I'm using the CL-211 cartridge from DataProducts.
Original Equipment Manufacture's ink cart. So you are these originals or compatibles. If so then that may be the problem. That plus the print head may be permanently clogged. Try some new original carts to see if that solves the problem.
Hello, I didn't use my printer for a while, so now when i try to print but only blank papers will come out🙂 Brother - J315W
I only use EPSON and CANON Photo printers. Your print head is clogged due to lack of use. Do a cleaning cycle and check again.
Thanks for replying, you're a great man❤
Hi! I tried to set my new canon printer. I install my ink and was about to load up paper. i accidentally touched the power cord and came off. I put it back on. All of a sudden, the inks are not flashing red lights. I do not understand the situation. Can you help me? Thanks.
You should have a solid red light not a blinking light on your cartridges
The color cartridges do not turn on "no red lihgt" inside the printer
What is the solution and I can not print
If your CANON carts LED red light does not light up that means the chip is dead. You will need new ones.
Hello everyone,
I am having a different problem.

My printer prints every color except a hot pink. Can you help me?
It is edible ink
That color is out of the inks gamut. So it might be impossible to reproduce. Just because you see it on the monitor does not mean you can print is.
hello Jose, great video, please help, I have a canon pixma ix6850 that i use for edible printing, i came across a bit of problem so i bought a new set of carts, cleaned the printhead but unfortunately, I still cant get colour red, I have followed the steps in this video but no luck, any advise please? thank you
Using refillable carts on a Canon? Never a good idea. Either the red cart is not feeding ink or the print head channel is clogged. So when did this occur? During printing? This is a classic cart problem or the head has failed on that channel!
Thank you, it happened while printing, if the head has failed on the channel, what can be done please?
You replace it with a new one but you would likely repeat the problem again. It might be the inks or the carts or both.
What is the solution if the colors are not printing in solid colors?
Don't know what you mean. You have gaps, lines? Some of your nozzles could be clogged which would instantly show up in a nozzle.check. Or your carts may not be providing sufficient ink flow. That needs to be tested as I showed in this video.
Hi. After I filled the yellow ink the red lamp is on, but when I try to print it shows code 1412 that a cartridge must be replaced. I changed to a new cartridge and the same problem continues as the red lamp goes off as soon as I close the lid of the printer
Did you properly reset the cart chip? Is this an original OEM cart you refilled?
Yes it is i used it many times
You changed to a Brand New One OEM matching cart and still get the not recognized error code???? Check the contacts on the print head and make sure they are clean. Or power off the printer and pull the plug for about 30 minutes and retry. If it still will not recognize a brand new OEM cart then you need to call CANON Support. If the RED LED lights up when you pop the cart in it should recognize it.
Yes it's clean . I change onlly the yellow ink. Do i need to chage all the colors???
WAIT, did you use the Replacement Cart without changing the OEM Yellow chip to IT??? No you do not have to do ALL colors. But the Cart you received does NOT have the OEM chip on it. You must fetch that from your original YELLOW cart that came with you printer. If you do not have it you will need a new OEM Yellow cart.
Top work thank you.
Thanks!
Hi Sir I have a big problem. I purchase an edible ink but I install most of them an it was fine but when I got to one of the black ones an o gushing black ink what can I do.
