Outlaw Country is the only Country Music I ever listened too. Also most admit I enjoyed that Bakersfield sound too as a kid. (Don Rich) I’m sure you have listened to Willie. His son Micah will no doubt carry on his dad’s legacy. If you haven’t listened to Micah here’s something he wrote that’s worth the time .m.ruclips.net/video/Ec7ZEfF19Sw/видео.html&pp=ygUnaWYgaSBkaWUgaGlnaCBpJ2xsIGJlIGhhbGZ3YXkgdG8gaGVhdmVu
@@curtisphilumalee1447Yes Ty! 😊 I love Dwight Yoakam aka Bakersfield Sound too, glad I experienced him live, and absolutely love Willie and Kris K. Have listened to Micah before and glad he’s carrying on his dads tradition, so cool.
I was exposed to a lot of genres in my house. My parents were big Country Western fans. Every Saturday night, growing up the Saturday night line-up was Country Western shows and big band. If you wanted to watch tv, you learned to watch what your parents were watching. You learned to appreciate and respect other people's music. I dont know what I miss the most... sitting in the living room watching tv with my parents or those shows on tv. I'd have to say... both. Best days growing up.❤ May you rest in eternal peace my loving dad. 🕊 Happy Saturday... thank you for sharing! 💖 Happy Holidays! 🎄✨️🎁🦌🎅🤶🧑🎄
I know what you mean. Saturday's started in the afternoon with Porter Wagoner's show. My mom was a fan. Later in the evening there was Lawrence Welk. My Dad just thought Joanne Castle, the pianist, hung the moon. Often they would have the Grand Ole Opry on radio later at night. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but I miss being together and watching all at one time.
@@that70sgirl90My dad and I watched Hee Haw also, was so fun laughing together! Roy Clark is buried here in Tulsa. I miss my dad also, he died when I was only 32, missed out. Merry Christmas!🎄🎄🎄
Wow I don't recall ever seeing Waylon on the Midnight Special. This is such a great typical song of Waylon's. Tap your feet and rock to the beat of this classic! Sure miss Waylon Jennings. RIP Your kind don't come along very often. Classic country!
Harmonica player is Don Frank Brooks. He was born in Dallas Texas 8 March 1947 and died 25 October 2000 in Manhattan, NY. He played on numerous Waylon Jennings albums. He was a session musician with artist including Diana Ross, Billy Joel, Ringo Starr, Cyndi Lauper, The Bee Gees, Harry Belafonte, Judy Collins and many, many more.
❤I was 1 in 1973...but I am certain if I was a young woman then I would definitely had loved that man 😂😂❤Waylon was just so gorgeous with his charismatic charm and perfect voice❤damn he was fine😂❤
I worked for a carpenter in the 80's who played country - i was into rock but am really glad i was exposed to all the great country artists at that time
@@rosskstar Yeah, I heard the older classic country artists from family members who were into it, and from seeing them on TV shows. I can definitely appreciate them.
Is it just me or is Waylon's outfit a little unusual for him? I don't think I've ever seen him dressed quite like he is here.....especially in 1975. Waylon and the band were on fire at this time!!
RIP Waylon, you will always be on my playlist Hauss.
"No good old boy
ever sang in Swahili"
I salute you, Wailon!
The only person to walk out of the We Are the World recording. RIP
Waylon walked out for good reason. It is told that Jennings thought the Swahili line would make it seem like the song was mocking African dialects.
"No good old boy

Whew! I love “Outlaw Country” and especially sexy Waylon Jennings! So glad he didn’t get on that plane, the day the music died…

I could listen to Hoss and mooney talk back and forth for hours and it’d never get old.

@KittyGrizGriz I'm so sorry.
Beautiful memories. You're right... not enough time. Truthfully, there's never really time.
Merry Christmas! 🎄💛🎄
Mann that Harmonica playing is so😊 cool
That's Don Brooks. He did all the harp on Waylon's records. The "This Time" album has some amazing harp on it. Check it out.
Maaaaaan he’s got two in his hands as well. Legend
Don was one of the greats, him and Mickey.
One of the greatest songs from the best country album ever recorded

What a terrific performance. Thank you, The Midnight Special.
Would have been a great show to see live. ❤ Waylon's music, it never gets old. ❤=w=❤
RIP - both waylon & billy joe shaver
Waylon is the shit!!!!!!
"Wow" what a "gem" of Waylon, this is a fantastic & by far the best version that Waylon sings of this one. 😄👍❤🎸🎼🎵🎶🎻🎹
I swear to God, both he and Willie Nelson shared the same studio, and perhaps performance players! fucking outlaws! Awesome! 64 is too young to die!
God Bless Waylon Jennings
These impromptu morning concert viewings are everything, thank you! 🙏
The KING at his finest!
I couldn't have put it better myself
Me, too.
Excellent as everything coming from Waylon!

I loved Waylon's big outlaw voice. But, bring out the steel and you had my attention. Still do.
The great Ralph Mooney on pedal steel. Waylon referred to him as the greatest steel player ever.
Gorgeous gee-tar! That’s the country/western I love.
Ralph Mooney tearing up that pedal steel.
Did ya see the size of that ring he was wearing? Holy Moly!!! Nice one!
That’s actually Tom Brumley of the Buckaroos and later Rick Nelson’s band. Tom filled in for Moon for a few shows in 73’!
@@ChasePhillips05I'm a huge Buck Owens and Brumley fan. That's Ralph Mooney playing pedal steel.
Just because you ask me too,God Love ya Waylon Jennings ❤❤❤ Bless Jessi very special lady ❤

There was only one Waylon there will never be another perfection can't be duplicated
❤Yes! Love Waylon, one of the greatest !
I'm not a huge country fan, but that was pretty cool. Waylon's got a good voice, and the band was great. I love a good harmonica player.

Love me some Waylon, and his deep voice 😅
You should listen to this album. I am not a country fan and it’s in my top 10. Honky Tonk Heroes is the name. Start to finish great
Back when there was real country music!
Is it just me or is Waylon's outfit a little unusual for him? I don't think I've ever seen him dressed quite like he is here.....especially in 1975. Waylon and the band were on fire at this time!!

Beautiful Song❤❤..
Simply, the best ever.
True.
Just great music and message. Yea, I love you..... Oh well call me a fool. Obviously........ha! Peace eh?
Miss Waylon and moon and Jessi ❤❤❤❤❤❤never be another.
Nobody’s taking about the way that guy KILLING THAT HARMONICA! 🔥 🔥 🔥 Actually even more impressive than the Steel Guitar
Awesome ❤️
Country could use some people like him today. Writers who don't turn out the same old meaningless and similar sounding songs.
Check out Whitey Morgan & the 78s outta Michigan
Great, great Waylon Jennings!
Waylon you will live in our hearts forever!
Can someone identify the band members with Waylon? They're great!
Steel Guitar - Ralph Mooney
Acoustic Guitar - Larry Whitmore
Bass - Duke Goff
Drums - Richie Albright
Harmonica - Don Brooks

Hoss is the boss !! Larry Whltmore jamming out on the 12 string !
👍👍
R E A L (=Royal..) music = N O s h i t .. (= ... ).
Ya think Waylon is a little hammered 😮😮
This was the beginnings of the shaggy Outlaw Waylon. The bass player kind of looks like Randy Meisner from the Eagles.
Larry Whitmore on the 12 string and backing vocals.
Thbak you! Been trying to figure that out. I think Randy Meisner is playing bass
Pure country, but the best version I've heard was on Elvis' Good Times or Promised Land album
Ralph Mooney -- one of the best steel players!!!
Who's playing the lap steel?
Ralph Mooney, is what someone posted here
John Hartford does a really good cover this as well.
Looks like pedal steel giant RALPH MOONEY
More Waylon, less that other dude. Lol
This was not recorded in 1975
You're right, it was recorded in 1973 but didn't air until '75.
You ain’t gangsta ‘til you’ve done time with the Folsom Wolf, like Johnny Cash. Jennings was only arrested and not charged.
Those people in the front row would have to pay a $5000 a ticket today.😊
Waylon looked pretty fucked up that night. Lol
