This long speech was the idea of the "guitarist" (the one who made the speech was a friend of the guitarist), so that Joey's family would not have time to honor him properly, as there was going to be a tribute to Joey separately, because the "guitarist" forbade Joey's mother and brother to get close to him, said that if she went on stage the band members would turn their backs ignoring her. Joey's mother was not even able to go to receive the award on her behalf, after the ceremony an assistant "threw" the trophy from the stage to Dona Charlotte. I read this in Joey's biography, written by his brother, this book is worth reading, there are many beautiful details of Joey's life, and also, unfortunately, all the bad things they did to him.💔

Eddie Vedder is one of my favorite musical artists. Someone stole my favorite Pearl Jam hat though :(
All these people in the comments always complaining and bitching about anyone everything anything these days Jesus! Thank heavens this induction and the speech happened years ago, when people had the patience and acceptance towards other's way of being a LOT more than now, where we judge the shit out of other people's lives in hopes of being liked and thinking we have the right to do so.
It took me far too long to realize Mohawk guy wad Eddie Vedder. Lol I've never seen this look. He's always been hot and sexy no matter what look he was sporting. He's a good man and I'm so thankful he's still with us .
Respect Eddie Vedder ! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 RAMONES IS THE BEST !
Talks and mannerism is much like Mike Ness. Great speech
Coolest speech I ever heard !!!!!!!
To think 15 years later Vedder himself will be inducted to the Hall of Fame
i voted them the very first day
I like to think he inducted himself
He definitely didn't do it with his speech skills though like holy shit he is bad at public speaking
@@destroyernoah Letterman did. It was awesome
Eddie lives
Eddie Vedder is Rock Legend and Icon.
God, i wish I had his speaking voice...
6:40, Bjork seems like a huge fan of the Ramones.
2 things make this awesome as fuck! Mother fucking Ramones in HOF, and Eddie with a mohawk! Lol
Eddie Vedder is so effin' cute!
Great speech, I personally just think it's a shame that Eddie didn't mention Richie Ramone...
Eddie right now for some reason reminds me of Michael Madsen from Reservoir Dogs Mr. Blonde
holy shit ed, 17 mins? fucking love you haha
The first entry in the 'Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame' is "ABBA". And that's where I closed the browser page. ;P
stormcats2 You got me wrong. I like Abba a lot. But I think we can state safely that Abba is no Rock'n'Roll, huh? ;>
Yep. The usual stuff, played in several bands, recorded a CD but nothing serious so far. Keyboard and guitar.
to be fair, rock and roll has a very broad definition. for some reason people now think it's only for punk/metal music.
I love you joey
The riots Eddie mentions, were in Buenos Aires Argentina. Thousands of fans gathered at a Coca-Cola ticket selling point. Ask Coke people what happend. Argentina has the world´s biggest Ramones fans ever.
My left ear really enjoyed this
RAMONES👍❤
Starring Russel Crowe as Eddie Vedder
It's Steve Cropper, show some respect, he's a rock & roll legend...
Eddie Vedder looking like Chuck Dukowski here.
Ha! That's true!
Eddie slightly resembles Joe Strummer in this clip.
was that Jared Fogel the perv from Subway @ 2:19 ?
Don Cline i believe so!
I begrudgingly acknowledge that almost everyone who should be in the R&RHOF ( and believe me, it's a meager list), is pretty much already there. Along with a ton of music (?) that should never have been there (Donna Summers?). The Ramones were the smartest induction they ever made (well, and The Beatles). Since so much of the HOF is now devoted to music that isn't remotely rock n roll (such as Hall & Oates, etc.), why not rename it Jann Wenner's Favorite Music Hall of Fame, or Some Rich Guys in Bel Air's Formulaic Money-Making Scheme, or Ahmet Ertegun's Self-Glorifying Sarcophagus & Pyramid, or A Monument to the Human Race's Eternal Stupidity and Consistent Lack of Taste?
Eddie's looking fine af with that mohawk
can't believe the sex pistols haven't been inducted, they were also a massive influence on the Seattle scene, and had the first punk 1# single
The Sex Pistols were inducted.
The Sex Pistols think that the rock and roll hall of fame is stupid. and didnt accept it.
they are unique. That is for sure.
Eddie looks great with the mohawk.
I never understood Johnny's political stance. On the one hand, a champion of all things sick, yet a staunch Reagan/Bush supporter.
Anton Haq: means Republicans are sick. The Democrat as cool trope is getting a bit old.
@A D Trump would be proud of you. Another intolerant subject. So are Republicans Nazi trash?
