POCO has been an absolute musical essential in my life for 4+ decades.
Poco NEEDS to be in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
They are the Eagles basis! Really??
now it's been over 50 years and Poco still kills it.
This video is from 1989-1990 time frame. Poco ended in 2021 when Rusty Young bucket kicked.
Great band! I'm glad I had the chance to see them in concert in 1973 at Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, NJ. Seals and Crofts opened, then came Poco, then the Eagles with guests Joe Walsh and Dan Fogelberg sitting in. What a show!
One of my favorite bands - in all of their varied lineups.
Love Poco see them 3 times in the 70's
I've been a fan of Poco going back to the late 60's. I saw them on the Legacy Tour and they were great! All that talent on one stage was incredible. RIP Randy, Rusty, and Paul.
The harmony is so beautiful! ❤
The best renditions of “Take it to the Limit” and “Crazy Love”. Ever
Rusty Young you did well...sleep softly.
Poco the best band ever.
Thank you for posting this, nice to see Randy again outside Eagles
A great lineup of talent ! Randy Meisner, what a voice🎶🎶🎶
I always thought that Richie was the heart and soul of Poco. How wrong can you be. I have been sitting here listeningand watching these later versions of Poco. It was Rusty. It was always Rusty. Him and Paul, but without Rustys Steel, thwre wouldnt have been Poco. And a Good Feeling to Know!
Yeah, Poco was chock full of great musicians, but Rusty Young was the glue, the heart and soul.
Go Randy great voice.Loved Poco
Yes to all the. ( positive comments) Saw them close to 10 times over years, last time just before COVID. RIP Rusty Young
I remember watching this originally on VH-1's Poco Week in 1989. It was good to see it again!
RIP Rusty
Every time I heard the late Glenn Frey singing, it was almost like he was doing a Richie Furay impression, for example, the exxagerated R sounds, “She wonderrrrrs/ how it everrrr got this crazy.“ That's a Richie Furay styling.
A very astute observation.
Well he used to sit on Richie's couch and watch Poco rehearse, so it's certainly plausible.
Richie is from Yellow Springs, Ohio and Glenn Frey was a Michigander, that's a North midwesterner thing! See Bob Seger!
Timothy B Schmit and Paul Cotton joined this band and they really took it to the next level.
Paul Cotton is the Man
Oh man, this was awesome!! I only became interested in Poco because of Randy's involvement so the Legacy album is my favorite, there is not 1 bad song on it, it's fantastic. This special was wonderful, loved hearing the stories from them and they rightfully should be full of pride about this product they produced, a true Legacy!
These guys crated super music
What a talented bunch - ALL of them😍😄
RIP Rusty Young, an absolutely great musician and very nice guy. I will miss him
Wished you could have got Timothy involved also. I know he made appearances on and off with the group.
RIP RUSTY YOUNG. Amazing musician!
@@janetlee3572 RIP Paul Cotton! Fantastic musician
My best band, saw them 8 times. Got to sit front row center after leaving first show ,and got back to get ticket for second show .roadie came out and put us center row, then back stage
Absolute gold.
RIP Rusty. X
the Legacy Album is one of my absolute favorites of Poco's thanks guys for getting the original members back together you were all perfection
I have loved POCO's music from the first time I heard them. They were/are dripping with talent.
EAGLES eat your hearts out
My favorite band Poco since 1976 I heard Magnolia and bought earlier albums cause I couldn't get enough and still love just the same, Crazy Love is my favorite song, man my favorite album I honestly can't decide. I was very sad to hear of Rusty's passing, I am blessed to be acquainted with his great talents in the musical legend of Poco, I will always love them.
THIS IS SPECTACULAR! Noted, in that Rusty has just passed and Richie has just released a new CD / DVD.
Loved Randy singing Rough Edges on this album.
Poco is so underrated super band!
Would love to have those tapes from the sessions put out as part of a Poco box set! This just gives you a glimpse of how great those talents were, and how well their voices blended when they sing those edited-out songs!
What an amazing find this is.
Poco is legendary and the Olympus of musical mastery. They will always have hearts of gold shining for many generations to explore,,,,chive on
I’m a huge fan of late era Poco, and I loved this album when it was released. I am also a big fan of Lee Sklar, Jeff Porcaro and Richard Marx, who were responsible for huge swathes of the album. Although I always felt that the band themselves should have been able to get a good record made without help. And the inclusion of my favourite Poco member, Paul Cotton would have been a bonus. Nevertheless, wonderful stuff.
Wow so a gold record has been important to rusty all these years. They did have several songs that would have qualified
No doubt!
Love poco saw many times 😀😀
Still touring
I am a Poconut and darn proud of it!
My license plate is POCONUT.
Randy's harmonies added a rich sound to any band. Sadly he picked a couple of short straws in life.
Album maravilhoso
Love these guys since 1969.....
I remember this album when it first came out I bought it I love every song on this album call it love . When it all began .no holding back .if it wasn't for you just to mention a few
I went to the Rock Hall of Fame in Sept 2018 and voted for Poco and got a message back that I was the 1st! How is that possible?
Remnts uf Buff-springfld & Paul & Randli & Rusti all koalest tu form Supr grupe POCO!!-still hav all the albumz!-wish I kud rewind time!!💔💔
What kind of malcontent would “dislike” this? Seriously, dawg, you’d have to be pretty messed up! 🤦🏻♂️
The bike path in Key Largo, FL to Tavernier was completed recently. Tavernier towne shopping center was the place to be and I remember the POCO display in the window at the record store in 1978. On radio WSHE-FM Fort Lauderdale played them. It took a big stick for reception in Key Largo to overcome that curvature of the earth thing.
Love those guys - George great harmony drummer!
Well there.,..I think I thoroughly enjoyed this bio.
I
Love Poco.
awsome!
Love poco
Take this Eagles! POCO puts your version to shame IMHO.
i got to see poco opening for stills/young (neil didn’t show). anyway tim sang restrain, one of my favs. crazy eyes is my favorite richie song. great guitar and harmonies
Damn good band
1st concert I ever saw
They opened for Jimmy buffet at richfield colesium in Cleveland ohio
RIP Rusty !
Salute to Richey Furay,Rusty Young & Jim Messina...who's behind "POCO"...LEGACY'🤔
❤
Sadly Rusty never made 80 years old to show off his gold records!
Best thing that happened to this band is when Jim Messina left and Paul Cotton joined
I like Messina a lot, but Cotton was what Poco needed. RIP Paul, we'll miss you.
Totally agree with that. Just listen to Rose of Cimarron.
Totally agree with that. Just listen to Rose of Cimarron.
Rusty Young, how he makes steel pedal sing.
Grantham baby love him...Marx coulda been in Poco...most soft spoken guys of all time.
Didn't Paul Cotton keep Poco together while Rusty and Ritchie were working on different projects?
No Rusty has been with POCO from the start. Didn,t do solo project until 2018
🇹🇭😷🇹🇭
POCO Thank You for Your Contribution to America and Rick Must c History unfortunately You are not as well known as the "EAGLES" which Quite Ironically Sprouted From POCO'S very Existence. Love your Sound & Lyrics when it's time to Relax I play POCO
Rusty: "we 'hired' Paul Cotton". He had to say that at just about every concert I saw right up until the end. Must've really pissed Paul off.
I liked Poco the most w Paul Cotton. My god he wrote some of their best songs and easily the best guitarist
Why did Rusty "have" to say they hired Paul?
Hmm, that's sad, especially because he joined the band so early. He's almost an original member.
@@lastnamefirst4035 : Rusty bought the rights to the Poco name after the 1990 reunion. Paul was an employee.
@@thisone9 That's the reason Paul quit the band after the "Running horse" album, sadly. Apparently Rusty didn't honour his word of making him a senior partner.
