I'm a Pakistani, Milk Tea (Called "Doodh-patti" or "Chai") is a staple drink, in my household, we drink chai in the mornings with breakfast, and in the evenings while sitting with our parents, it's also a good remedy to many things, people can make Ginger Milk Tea to relieve head aches, and dilute some specific produced spices (they're called Joshanda, they come in small packets) to relieve sore-throat :)

If you still want it sweeter after straining you can more! It’s just milk and tea so adjust to your preference. You can use also use plant based milk as an alternative, add flavoring, adjust sugar levels, add boba, etc.! This is your own creation so add whatever you’d like. Hope this helps! 🥰

Btw you should add tea leaves in little bit of water and boil it first. This helps draw out the taste of the tea leaves better. And then add milk and sugar and boil it all. Strain it in a cup. Voila it's ready to drink hot and tasty with any tea time biscuits 😋

    • @Drippinonyou

dont boil it as the fat will separate to the top as a cream layer and it will become skimmed milk instead. So simmering longer will be better to retain the full body taste of milk tea.

I don’t see anything wrong with the kitchenware as this is a “quarantine” version. I’m sure we all have our own types of tools to have the same end result. I say this is a homemade version perspective of making a recipe and everyone who’s creative can do the same things with more/less the energy. This reminds me of how I make authentic chai tea, but with packaged organic herbs I bought while in India. I didn’t think to do the same with milk tea this way. Thanks for sharing your creativity with milk tea! 🙏👍😊😋🥛☕️🥤

Ok so I tried it, and here's what I found:
The tea does mix a little better into the milk and when you strain it, the fine pieces of tea are left inside, which could either be something you do or don't like. Also if you're using five teabags, the milk left in the teabags could be a bit of a waste. I'm sure it will work just fine if you put the whole teabag in though.

    • @stevie8849

idk about fancy, but this definitely isn’t how “regular” tea is made in the west. a lot of people add a splash of milk to their tea, but that’s it. brewing tea in milk instead of water isn’t standard. i don’t think anyone but the people in the comments think this is fancy. imo they’re conflating the channel’s aesthetics with the drink for whatever reason
