I made these today. Oh. My. Gosh! I am so happy. I added 4 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tspn salt to the batter (I doubled the original recipe: 2 cups flour, 3 tsp baking powder, 1.5 cups greek yoghurt), and I piped using a large ziploc bag, cut at the corner. Sprinkled the pillowy delights with a little cinnamon sugar; per-fection! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. Not a single ball made it past the first hour. 😅 Thank you Emma! 😘

Andy Cooper I normally use a sifted rice flour or any gluten free flour you like in the same measurements the recipe states! (I added baking powder to my flour and it worked out great!)

Or, instead of using plain yogurt, try a sweetened vanilla( or your favourite yogurt flavour)I like coconut yogurt. Still has some sweetness but you can skip the glaze or powdered sugar.

I haven't had a donut in almost 5 years because it's impossible to make gluten free donuts. ...BUT THESE ARE THE BEST THINGS EVER. I CAN FINALLY HAVE DONUTS AND THEY TASTE AMAAAAAAZING (I used Cup4Cup flour, which is honestly the best one out there, and followed the recipe exactly. However, I did find that I needed more yogurt than it said, and so I added yogurt and/or milk until it was the same consistency as hers. You can also pipe them into little rings and make baby donuts. Hope you guys enjoy!)

This worked dangerously well! I added a couple of tbs sugar to the dough and almond extract to the glaze the second time around, then double-glazed them because i had extra. Perfect for experimenting!

I’m not sure how many people know of puff puff but it’s similar to donuts too. In case you don’t have yogurt you can use, self rising flour, water, and sugar for that. And dissolve the sugar in warm water and mix with the flour until it is like a loose dough consistency!

@@sim1gee Hi Simone, I'm not entirely sure but I had left the mix to sit whilst I heated the oil and turned it down after it had heated down to medium before I put in a small batch. Then back up to high. Hope that helps 😊
I tried these and they r really good. I wud recommend adding around a teaspoon of vinilla extract as it takes away some of the yogurts flavour. Also i coated some of mine in nutella instead of the glaze and put it in the fridge to harden and it turned out perfect. Overall, a rly convenient quick dessert that is amazing.
Recycle the oil. Get a colander, paper towel and a bowl. After oil cools down, strain it thru the paper towel inside the colander, over the bowl. Then pour it back into the container of oil or a Mason jar. That's what I'm doing rn
I made them too :) lovely 😊 just make sure not to overheat the oil so they cook inside and out 🤘 even if they are not perfectly cooked after glazing them they are amazing anyways :) so just do them :) Try to use a disposable piping bag because I accidentally made a tiny cut in my silicone one 😅 My brother and his girlfriend tried them when they came home and they were really impressed :)
Tip: whisk your yoghurt before adding it to the flour... I didn't and got nugget like donuts instead... Also remember it should be slight golden yellowish, not brown. It is donuts not fried pakore or chicken.. you don't want donuts to be too crispy. Otherwise taste was great!

I tried it today with high expectations and she absolutely exceeded it! It was so good i ate it fasted than I should. They were indeed springy, fluffy, and I even ate some without the glaze/toppings. We have been making them in Greece for years and we call them "loukoumades" or honey doughs! The best combo for me is to serve them with honey, crushed walnuts and cinnamon!
Nah the Greek ones are more crispy on the outside, then explode and melt in your mouth. The ones here are soft the entire was through. The Greek ones are f-ing INCREDIBLE.

This worked dangerously well! I added a couple of tbs sugar to the dough and almond extract to the glaze the second time around, then double-glazed them because i had extra. Perfect for experimenting!

I’m not sure how many people know of puff puff but it’s similar to donuts too. In case you don’t have yogurt you can use, self rising flour, water, and sugar for that. And dissolve the sugar in warm water and mix with the flour until it is like a loose dough consistency!

The only thing I like from Tim's is their timbits. 😆 so this is helpful.

Hey! Just wondering how you got them to cook all the way through! Mine are struggling-they just keep getting burnt on the outside & super doughy inside, even with medium heat :/ Any pro-tips?
@@sim1gee Hi Simone, I'm not entirely sure but I had left the mix to sit whilst I heated the oil and turned it down after it had heated down to medium before I put in a small batch. Then back up to high. Hope that helps 😊

I tried these and they r really good. I wud recommend adding around a teaspoon of vinilla extract as it takes away some of the yogurts flavour. Also i coated some of mine in nutella instead of the glaze and put it in the fridge to harden and it turned out perfect. Overall, a rly convenient quick dessert that is amazing.
Wish I read this earlier. I found these donuts to be a bit too yogurt-y tasting and left a tart aftertaste even with the glaze.

Recycle the oil. Get a colander, paper towel and a bowl. After oil cools down, strain it thru the paper towel inside the colander, over the bowl. Then pour it back into the container of oil or a Mason jar. That's what I'm doing rn
You could also probably use.a smaller pot/pan with less oil, and just fry a couple at a time!

Tip: whisk your yoghurt before adding it to the flour...
I didn't and got nugget like donuts instead...
Also remember it should be slight golden yellowish, not brown. It is donuts not fried pakore or chicken.. you don't want donuts to be too crispy.

I tried it today with high expectations and she absolutely exceeded it! It was so good i ate it fasted than I should. They were indeed springy, fluffy, and I even ate some without the glaze/toppings. I topped mine with cinnamon sugar, but the batter was really good, fed some to my mom and sister :) 🤍

Nah the Greek ones are more crispy on the outside, then explode and melt in your mouth. The ones here are soft the entire was through. The Greek ones are f-ing INCREDIBLE.
