      @@Abdelhamidddd I tried my mate’s Markus once, but that was some time ago, so I’m not sure if I can give a good opinion on it compared to the styrspel. Well done to Ikea for bringing out an affordable mesh chair. Some potential downers though are the headrest looks really flimsy, they should have used the strong adjustable Matchspel mesh headrest, and the arms tilt up when you recline.

    • @StardustLegacyFighter

      It's affordable for sure, and perhaps better than the famous Staples Hyken mesh chair, although it does humour me that the OP considers this chair to be of a "premium" quality.

    Alright, I saw some other reviews and let me weight in. Let me know if I'm wrong.
    1. only the back rest moves, the seat does not, so you will never be able to keep one angle between your legs and torso, legs will always be perfectly horizontal
    2. no weight adjustable lean function, meaning you can only use the 5 predefined positions, you wont be able to swing
    3. arm rests, on the other hand, don't stay horizontal with the seat, but they move with the back rest, so they are almost always in a bad position (never level with the table)
    4. base of the chair is so robust, you will always bumb into it with the feet, its just aaaaalways in the way
    5. it has those stupid brake wheels which also my utelspelare had, which was the first thing I replaced.If you dont want your floor scratched, you will do the same
    6. head rest is connected with a plastic platform, this wears our fairly soon and the head rest keeps falling down on its own
    Am I wrong on any of these?

      @@superfotografsk thats precisely what im trying to find out. i bought this styrspel and got rid of those stupid locking wheels, but every time I want to turn the chair to me, or move it in any way, those stupid armrests rotate willy nilly. super annoying. same with the operating sticks below - always hitting my calfs, and the base - always in the way, no matter where i put my feet. i tried fixing it in anothe base, from a mercury chair, but that kept it a solid 3-4 inches lower, which was a no go.

    • @rightfulcop
      @rightfulcop 2 года назад

      Terrible, especially the head rest, I am 187 cm tall and Markus or JÄRVFJÄLLET is a wayyyy beter option. Note that on JÄRVFJÄLLET you can slide the seat part to the front by around 10 cm which makes the seat "deeper" for tall guys like us. Markus does not have that option but it has adjustable arm rests (they lock when adjusting up/down but do not have a lock option with forward/backward so they tend to slide if you lean on the too hard). Also the biggest let down with JÄRVFJÄLLET is that it only comes in leather (even though real leather according to IKEA).

      I just assembled the thing. You slide the "hole" of the head rest on top of the notch of the back support and tilt rhe head rest backwardsj and screw the pz!!! screw. Everything aligns perfectly. If you have problems there must be a defect. I actually expected there to be a problem on this part of assembly but no, it just worked!

    This chair is garbage for the price you pay, zero foam inserts, the lumbar "support" is a cheap plastic piece making this chair look like a decommissioned medical chair. Also the biggest deal-breaker is that arm rests have faux leather on them = cracks and flaking within a few months. They should have went with all plastic or rubber wraps.
