    Man I really do appreciate your desire to do all the stuff your doing! I’m in a similar situation,don’t you just love all that insulation? 😅 a good pro tip is to use duc tape when you get out of the shower,it helps with the itching and pulls the fiberglass.

    Hey, I'm thinking of installing one of these systems, do you worry about the re-sale value of your house with the added holes in the walls and ceilings?

    Nice work! I did the same thing, but used DVC speakers in the bathrooms. I just ran a 4 conductor wire to power them. Also, what wis your source to the amp? I am currently using Chromecast Audio pucks but they are not available anymore. I also did not use keypads and use a Google assistant for volume control.

      I am going to use 1 DVC speaker in a smaller bathroom upstairs, that is upcoming. These soundavo WS66i have 2 wireless streamers built in, so you can use spotify, iHeart radio, apple airplay, or music that is just on your android phone to cast to it etc. But one of the most used sources that we personally use, is alexa as a source. So we normally just tell alexa what to play. You can link all of your alexas in your house into a group, and set a preferred speaker. Doing that lets alexa's music go out just the 1 preferred alexa that is plugged into the amp as a source. I will also have videos upcoming on this, as I finish up this project!

    Will you show us how to add different sources to the amp? For example, I bought the WS66i and I want to add my receiver and then two Apple TV’s as sources. Is that possible? The amp will be in an entertainment closet and I’m not sure how I’ll be able to control the sound from the other rooms.

      When you say receiver, what is that? Is that a surround sound receiver? Normally surround receivers are not source inputs, they are normally used with the pre-amp outputs, so a surround receiver and it's speakers would be a zone. Regarding your Apple TV's they should have optical audio out, so what you could do for 1 of them at least, is plug that into source #6 which is an optical input on the WS66i. For the other apple TV, you would have to use a converter to convert your optical out, into either RCA or 3.5mm. You can get an optical audio cable up to 100ft check this amzn.to/2I415Xr but if you have to go further you will need something else like this. Without seeing your setup it's hard to know what you would need but possibly this because i'm guessing your apple TV is not near the amp and could be further than 100ft? (if it is nearby, then disregard) amzn.to/2I44yWe and then just 1 of these amzn.to/38ix4Om

      @@TheKMZ1 I have a Marantz receiver that’s going to power a 5.1 living room. I have 6 other zones, all with 2 speakers in them. 2 of the zones are going to have Apple TV’s in them that I would like but not necessary to have connected to the Soundavo for playing throughout all speakers. Does that help?

    • @TheKMZ1
      @TheKMZ1  3 года назад

      So unfortunately, it sounds like you have 7 zones, because your 5.1 living room you would want to include that as a zone as well, from what it sounds like. I just recorded a video last night, explaining how the pre-amp outputs work on the soundavo, so this concept works for hooking up the soundavo to your 5.1 amp, i'll put the video out in the next day or so. But otherwise everything else i said above still holds true for hooking up your apple TV's. I say unfortunately you have 7 zones, because if you want to include that as a zone, you either need another amp since you are out of zones, or you need to combine 1 of your other zones into a zone that would have 4 speakers, that way you would free up a spot

    When you have two speaker in the room. Do you do a jumper from the speaker or two wires from the amp

    • @TheKMZ1
      @TheKMZ1  3 года назад

      2 separate, both coming from the amp

      @@TheKMZ1 How about if you had four speakers in the same room would you run four separate wires to the amp and then put it all in the same hole in the amp

      Not really that I can think of, but here amzn.to/34YI6qh these would be a good starter, they are pretty cheap and have good reviews. 11 ft length in my opinion would be enough
